Inugami? Zachary thought about it for a second. Dog spirit? He didn't know any of them personally and had really only understood them as far as lore and fairy tales used to tell. To his knowledge they were somewhat loyal to humans for the most part, but with wolves... he wasn't so sure. Still, for her to come right out and say it, he figured it would be best to share.
"I'm a garou, more specifically a Hakken of the beast courts of Asia. In other words i'm jinko Okami, a werewolf." He shared. He realized most of these terms would probably be foreign, but he felt the need to share it so that i couldn't be said later that he had failed to do so. His tone was matter of fact and the joking and sarcastic tones that he typically used when undergoing informal situations was gone. All that was left was for her to react to that.. and to react if he was forced to transform. His master had told him to strengthen himself in his human form and save his transformations for enemies that couldn't be overcome by a human body, and he intended to do just that.

“ A werewolf huh can’t say I ever met one of them“ Anah grinned at him “ well except now of course” she was happy that he didn’t seem to be bothered by the fact that she was a half-breed. Anah tilted her head at the familiar name “beast courts? Can’t say I really know too much except that my clan doesn’t trust them” pausing a moment she continued “Though they really don’t trust any outsider, my father is working very hard to try and change that” she smiled a little when she thought of her father even though he could smothering and overprotective he was a brilliant man and an amazing leader.

Zachary smiled. It sounded like her father and his master would get along.
"He'll want to be careful. My master shook their foundations and was banished to the spirit world for seven years, one month is normally the time it takes for a werewolf to become a spirit there, but somehow he survived and came back more powerful than ever. He's currently trying to destroy the lines set by each changing breed race so that everyone can work together to fight, buuuttt...." He had to admit it was going better than anyone ever thought it would have, but it still wasn't going well enough to actually change everything. In addition werewolves weren't immortal and that meant that he had a finite amount of time to change everything. Then again the only reason Zachary ever said he was of the beast courts was because he was still Hakken. That aside he could more or less be considered ronin as far as traditionalists would have been concerned.

"Personally I think we're going to have to do something drastic. There's already the presence of groups on this island that would happily destroy everything. It's why I'm in this forest right now. There's something here that has to be destroyed before they make a solid foothold here." He added. Things were about to get grave and he started to pick up the walking pace just a bit. He needed to be able to see and hear things, but it was also important to arrive quickly before they got caught up in combat again.

Anah wasn’t sure how she was supposed to respond to that revelation or even she should in case she said something stupid or offensive. But then again when had she let common sense keep her from doing anything? “I didn’t know the details but I knew some of the adults like to whisper about something I knew it must’ve been something pretty big since even my dad didn’t tell me” “Your master may have had good intentions but violence only does so much you know” She started walking faster to keep up with him “Exactly what is this something? “ .

“Your master may have had good intentions but violence only does so much you know” she said. Zachary shook his head.

"It wasn't with violence. Fighting a group with martial prowess will usually only get you so far. Violence would only have incensed the beast courts further. He led a revolt, many shape changers simply denied allegiance to the beast courts and just walked away. He used corporate power to fight the corruption of other corporations, gathered those that other tribes cast away and then strengthened them so they could see the potential that they had lost, and led excursions into the spirit world to gather information about how to defeat the wyrm and bring back some of the lost changing breeds. In the end the beast courts banished him under the pretense of removing a cause for war, but I ran the company after that, and I gathered changing breeds and continued his work. Because of that the company grew, and now we can fight on equal terms with the beast courts, pentex, and any other group that wants to destroy or corrupt." He explained, annoyed somewhat at Annah's assumption.

As far what the something was, he had to decide what to tell her. He didn't know everything himself and he hadn't learned any new gifts that would allow him to explore without entering danger so she needed to know as well.

"As for what the something is, there is a lab here. Someone or something in there is taking animals and turning them into cyborgs. Among werewolf kind there was a group doing the same thing and we shut that down, basically i'm here to do just that. I'm going to destroy the lab, rescue any animals I can, put the cyborg animals out of their misery, and then call in some backup to help protect the forest. I had wanted to do this with a pack, but unfortunately the only pack members I have here are assigned to something else and I haven't gotten anyone else to join." He said, though he doubted it would all go that swimmingly. It was dangerous, and there was much left to do if he was going to get anywhere near that goal. Not to mention that the pack situation was a bigger deal than he was making it seem.

Now she’d done it even though he didn't express externally she could tell he was a little bit aggravated at her for assuming there had been violence involved, why couldn't she keep her mouth shut! She was constantly being reprimanded for allowing her mouth to outrun her brain especially when she was a child. “I’m sorry I shouldn't have assumed it was violent” her eyes widened when he spoke again “That’s awful! Why someone would do such a thing!” She growled there weren't many things that provoked her wrath but those who abused those weaker then them was near the top of that list.

Zachary listened to her speak, he had glossed over isolated incidents, still there was a place for violence in the world.
"You weren't wrong. There were some violent incidents, it was unavoidable. Violence in necessary in this world, but it wasn't the sole or the main reason for the cause of the change. That being said, you're also right about this, it is wrong and that is why we're going to put a stop to it, or at least I am, you're no obligated to come with but it's going to get worse the closer we get." He said, acknowledging her feelings and moving on to the subject at hand. They had been getting closer the whole time, and he couldn't help but wonder why they hadn't run into anything from that lab yet.
——————————-

The doctor watched as his former quarry returned, this time with a different girl. A smirk crossed his face as he reached down and pet the mechanical Jaguar with the camera for an eye that he had created shortly before they had found his lab before. Naturally he had beefed up security, but he had done so in an inconspicuous manner.
"Struggle little wolf, I've prepared for you this time." He said to himself.

Anah nearly ran into Zachary when the other stopped suddenly she then saw why a large grey building with iron locked windows stood just a few feet from them. It occurred to her that if her father knew what she was doing right now he would regret ever recalling her security detail potential lawsuits be dammed but again she was never privy to common sense or reason “ Soo what’s the plan? Knock and ask politely?” somehow she doubted it would be that easy.

"yeah that's pretty much the plan right now. Of course, I'm thinking we'll get a welcoming committee first." He said as he walked toward the building. That had definitely not been there the last time he was here.
And he remained very steady on that fact as a large mechanically enhance gorilla exited the compound. Most of the black fur was gone, most of the cybernetics were visible, and it looked angry. Obviously it was not there to befriend them.

===========================

Still Wilhelm watched as the two came up to his very gate. Thanks to that, he didn't have to wait to deploy his first little creation. He had worked with undead, and now with cybernetics. Since the werewolf had also been one of the people who had taken down his zombie lab under the lake. He wanted to get his revenge, and the girl was going to be a casualty.
"Destroy them both. I want their heads. He ordered his Gorilla.

===========================

"I'm going to go ahead and guess that I'm going to have to reveal a secret I've been keeping. The veil doesn't protect me like others of my kind, then again you don't seem entirely human. Try not to freak out." He said as he pulled out one of his shock grenades. It wasn't going to be as effective as his lightning bolt, but it would ideally do some kind of damage.
"Shock out!" He shouted as he listlessly pulled the pin, letting the release pop off about two seconds before he threw it, the resultant electrical explosion flashed brightly, before the crackling energy died down.

When all was said and done the Gorilla still stood, but fried circuitry crackled on its own with smoke billowing from the creature in front of them.
"Uh, yeah... I'm probably going to have to." He said as he shook his head.

She put both hands up to her mouth to keep from gasping when the giant mechanical gorilla lumbered past the poor thing was now more machine than living creature. “Eh?” she started when Zachary throw the grenade flinching when it exploded the smell of burning fur combined with oil and machinery made her eyes sting she rubbed her sleeve across them to clear them, she looked over to where Zach was sitting “ Exactly how many secrets do you have?” she wondered.
