Zachary watched her shift and prepared himself for in case she lost it. He still had no idea what it was that he was seeing, but he didn't want to be on the receiving end of whatever she could do.
"Secrets secrets Anah-chan." He said as he stepped back to make room for her attack. "Have at it." He added with a smile. The bone blade extending from his elbow crumbled and fell away. He wanted to see what she could do anyway.

Mentally he took note of what she was doing, made a point of observing every gesture, and made a point of remembering to ask her what exactly she was later.

Fangs sank into the back of the beast’s neck powerful jaws ripping through muscle and bone with a sickening crunch. The beast let out an ear piercing scream of agony swinging its head madly trying in vain to dislodge the wild girl or at least swing her into reaching distance of its teeth; Anah dug her claws deeper into the skin and bit down harder blood gushing from the grotesque wound coating her mouth and front as well as falling in large drops onto the ground.

With both Anah and he little creature on the snake monter, Zachary couldn't really do much to it. It was hard for him to target it, though he was ready to ignore that factor and jump in with as much force and accuracy as he possibly could.
"I think that's enough. Even if it's not dead it shouldn't be made to suffer more than it has to." He stated, considering that the creature may not have been a monster of its own accord. It might have just been an innocent creature that someone had messed with and made into an abomination. He wasn't going to free it, but he wanted to kill it quickly.

Anah didn’t think so the beast deserved the pain it felt as punishment for attacking them. That was what one part of her brain said the other part the human half argued that the boy was right and the creature suffered enough, in the end the human half won. Anah whined jumping off the creature as her features shifted back to human, the beast gurgled and attempted to limp back into the bushes.

He strode forward, catching it just as it reached the bushes and grabbed the back of its head and called upon one of his gifts. Electricity crackled and then flashed brilliantly as a powerful bolt flash fried the snake creature (Gnosis at 4/5). He said a silent prayer for it to Gaia, asking her to accept her creature as it had been meant to be before turning back to Anah with a grin on his face as he looked at the black blood coating her mouth and the front of her body.
"Well that's handled, but if you were wanting that kiss it's going to have to wait now." He teased. It had been fun, but he was concerned about going further into the forest with her to his originally planned destination.
"It's only going to get more dangerous further in." He added somberly.

Anah glanced at her ruined attire while wiping her mouth with her arm looking at the black blood smeared crossed it. Aimon returned to original size rubbing against Anah’s leg comfortingly she reached down and picked up the shiki and placed her back in the safety of the backpack which had somehow escaped the carnage. “ Pretty sure I got that already” she replied looking at Zachary in the back of her mind she wondered what he thought of her now that he had seen what she really was.

Shaking his head he walked up to her and peered into the forest.
"Are you alright? It's going to get more dangerous from here on in." He warned as he handed her a handkerchief he kept in his pocket. '
"The forest is forbidden for a reason. I came here to alleviate some of that problem but it's not going to be easy and I was hoping to have a pack by this time or to go in by myself. Also there's a cyborg jaguar that needs to be taught a lesson." He explained, adding the half joke at the end.

He recounted his last visit here with Trini, whom he hadn't heard from since their date and he assumed was just a hint leading toward her not wanting to talk to him anymore. He wondered what exactly Anah's transformation had been, she wasn't an evident member of the beast courts, but was something more than human and warranted his curiosity.

“Thanks” Anah gratefully took the offered handkerchief though it probably wouldn’t do much work on her gruesome appearance she appreciated it none the less. After wiping her face, arms and hands she handed back the now ruined cloth sheepishly “Sorry hope that wasn’t your only one” she felt uncomfortably awkward around him now normally she would never just transform in front of someone like that. “So um you probably figured out that I’m not exactly normal huh?” it was dumb question since the answer was painfully obvious but she knew Zachary wasn’t entirely human either.

He looked at her as she handed him the handkerchief. It was in fact the only one he had on him but it mattered not. He strode over to the body of the snake creature and placed it over the monster's face.

“So um you probably figured out that I’m not exactly normal huh?”
He shook his head as he walked back to Annah.
"Normal is subjective. Everyone on this island seems to have some sort of ability, right down to the general population. Plus I just blasted something with lightning. Obviously I'm not textbook normal either." He wanted her to turn back, he didn't want her to go venturing into danger with him, not after what had happened to Trini, and not without some major edge. He reached into his pocket and handed her a flashbang grenade.
"I hope you know how to use that from movies or something. It won't kill but if you cover your eyes it will blind them, and give you a chance to move." He explained. She was some kind of shape changer, but he hoped she could shift a step further than she did, or could at least heal or regenerate quickly. He stepped forward and to the side of her, heading deeper into the forest.

“Yeah and there’s that” she was about to say something else on the subject before he tossed her the flash grenade she nearly dropped it out of surprise “Uh yeah sure totally” though in reality her only experiences were with manga and anime, but how hard could it be really? She noticed that he had gotten farther ahead of her while she wasn’t paying attention and hurried to catch up stowing the grenade safely in her pocket. “So, if you don’t mind my asking what are you exactly?” then the realization hit that maybe he should be the one asking her that question “I guess I should tell you what I am first huh?” She really didn’t enjoy telling people what she was since most shifters had a tendency to look down on people like her “ I'm half-Inugami on my dad's side"
