It had been about a month since the night in the woods where he had kissed Anah. Since then the woods had been pretty mundane if he was just going there to hunt. Now he stood at the entrance to the forbidden forest, remembering how he had met Trini and what had happened after that. He had vowed to form a pack and destroy the laboratory that was in there, but he was so caught up trying to manage a million other things of fairly equal importance that he hadn't been able to do that. Not to mention that most of the shape shifters on the island weren't exactly suited to fighting the minions of the Wyrm and those that might have been weren't known to him.
With eyes closed he walked inside, wondering how long it would take this time before he got into some kind of trouble. The forbidden forest wasn't exactly forbidden because there were girl scouts hiding in the trees after all, and any danger that might be out there was probably enhanced with some sort of mechanical device set that made it ten times as dangerous. As it stood today he would settle if he could destroy that mechanical jaguar that had taken out his leg and gone after Trini. Furthermore, the fact that it had gotten away with a sample of his blood meant that there could be other, more pressing matters to be concerned about at the moment. Anger settled in and revitalized his rage, and he already felt closer to the spirit world, though he could feel the barrier between this world and the spirit world had gotten slightly stronger since the last time he was here.
"Guess I'd better get moving." He said to himself.
As he walked in just a little deeper he could feel that the entire forest realized it was in danger. This meant anything non native to the forest was going to find itself in some serious trouble if it drew any attention from the native creatures and the long sleeved, graphene threaded, black shirt he wore wasn't exactly conducive to the natural layout of the forest. He wore black cargo pants loaded with smoke grenades, flash bang grenades, and shock charges that also weren't going to help with that. Finally his trademark trench coat wasn't exactly forest attire either and he came to the conclusion that he was probably going to want help dressing himself for forest excursions from now on.
Despite all the imminent danger he was in, he still though back to Anah, and wondered if it was possible that she might have found herself in this forest just as she had done with the regular one in which they had met.
"Surely she knows this one is truly dangerous." He thought to himself as he continued walking.
