"Hm... " Hal weighed his choices while his fork hanging at his mouth. He could just say that yes, his sketchbook was a bit of a private thing for him, and he doesn't want to show it to just simply anyone. He could just say that and it seemed like Wind wouldn't even mind if he did. But then he was hesitating.
It didn't help that Wind was willing to show him her works even though she just said it was private. Doesn't that mean that Wind was comfortable around him then? That she finds him a familiar person now? Hal mentally shook himself out of his monologue and looked at his backpack wondering if he should bring out his sketchbook.
Sighing, he placed his fork down on the place and rummaged his bag for the said book. "No, it's really more like... no one really knows and no one's seen me drawing so I don't get asked. So I haven't really shown any of my drawings to anyone." He told her as he pulled out the book. It was an A4-sized book and it seemed almost unused.
Hal opened the book to the first page where there was a pencil sketch of a breath-taking view of the school from the roof then handed it to the girl right across the table, "It's a new one so I've only drawn about 3 pages in.." he said. The sketch wasn't that expertly done. There were a few stray marks here and there, some evident depressions from erasures and some uneven shading but if one held the drawing away, it wasn't that bad. The next pages were rough sketches of the courtyard with a view of the fountain and a crow sitting atop a tree branch.
