A thundering crash echoed within the trees, birds and small rodents running away from it's source. Diam stared down at his small fingers as he flexed them, a vexed look flashing across his features for a moment. Before him rested a large boulder, the dust still settling from when it fell back to the ground. "Only about three inches off the ground. Truly I have grown lax." He said for the benefit of no one.
Several thin, silvery wires encircled the boulder in deliberate fashion. The strands converged on two points, the space between them a comfortable reach for Diam to leverage against the rock. The young vampire had traded his usual formal garments for a more practical track suit.
The luminescent eyes of the child glanced up at the stars finding their way into the sky, the light of the sun fading further over the horizon. He might have sighed at the possibility of a long night had he not already resigned himself to the fact. Once more Diam tangled the wires in his hands, the metal and stone creaking as it released it's hold on the ground once more.
