Appearance Description: He’s a tall figure, standing at an even six foot with brown hair and eyes. He has a slender build and doesn’t appear particularly threatening, but he does give off a sketchy vibe. His pinstripe business suits don’t help with that. He tops the look off with a matching newsboy cap. Then there’s that ever present smug little grin he wears on his face. He looks like he’s going to swindle you in some way or another.
Personality Description: Generally speaking, Regis is a friendly, outgoing sort. Naturally people find his occupation rather surprising considering its dangerous nature. Though that being said, people also aren’t surprised that the business he’s in is somewhat sketchy. He’s a bit of a good luck and fortune telling maniac. He also has an odd fondness for pigs. He carries himself in a way that makes people question just how competent he really is at his job. This makes it even more surprising that he’s an equally if not more competent reaper. He’s very insightful and very little slips past him. At one point he even considered aiming to be a police detective. However, he’s kind of lazy and he prefers to maintain his own independence while operating.

Clairvoyance: At a glance, Regis can perceive a person’s soul in their body. Further analysis of said soul can indicate a rough age, nature, and origin. Naturally this ability only works if you have a soul or souls attached to the person or in their general vicinity. It also allows him to perceive and communicate with disembodied spirits and astral beings It also doesn’t work on beings who can naturally mask their souls presences be it through magic or other means.
Give him enough time and Regis can tell you potential outcomes for your life up to ten years into the future. He does not necessarily see your death in these instances and he also doesn’t necessarily see exact details though the longer he sticks with a person the more he’ll begin to see which road is being traveled.
Reaper Scythe: The signature tool of a reaper. With this, Regis can sever a soul’s ties to its body or damage it. The blunt end can also be used to push a person’s astral form out of their body. He can only utilize these particular skills when a person is near death, as he is a reaper and that is his job. The blade cuts what he chooses it to cut, upwards of steel alloys on a physical plane thus making it a viable defense mchanism. He can also use it as a mode of transportation much like a witch’s broom.
Death Aura: When he feels like actually being serious, Regis will release his reaper aura. The best way to describe the sensation of this aura is a feeling of imminent doom. It effects people within a twenty foot radius. Stronger beings such as demons and angels may not feel the fear that the average human would, however they would understand that he’s not someone to be taken lightly. This aura can effectively be resisted in proportion to a person’s fear of death.

Biography: Regis Hayes is a Manta Carlos native though he does tend to fabricate numerous false origin stories to people as he’s rather picky about telling people what his true nature is. His preferred story was that he was the son of pig farmers in Minnesota who ran way from home when his parents discovered his powers. He then lived on the streets until he was scouted and taken to Starlight Academy.
The real story isn’t even close. Regis was born to a pair of skilled necromancers who lived on Manta Carlos, practicing what they called Green Necromancy. A type of necromancy that infuses plant and life magic into things, thus resurrecting beings in that manner. Regis wasn’t particularly skilled in the art, unlike his younger sister who seemed to excel at it. In fact, he didn’t seem to have the potential at all. When he turned ten, things began to change for him. He started seeing people that others couldn’t and other classic signs that he might not be like the rest of his family. He seemed to have a much more intimate relationship with death. More of his abilities began to develop but it wasn’t until he encountered another more experienced reaper that he was told what he was. There was a little known trait within his family that would trigger certain members to become full blown reapers.
He spent his high school and college years honing his abilities until he had a general understanding of how he worked and what his functions were. Regis in the past had no other choice but to murder a fellow reaper who was violating his duties and the cycle. The event has left him somewhat traumatized and significantly . He now works as a debt collector and repo man while carrying out his reaper duties.
He's taken another young half reaper, Eroshay under his wing to teach her reaper things, albeit grudgingly.
