They stood together in a padded room in the gym, in workout gear. At 6 feet, 4 inches, Sebastian towered over Chloe. They gripped each other's clothing. He was straining. Chloe didn't move at first.

"Oh, we're starting already?" She smirked. Soon, Sebastian was in the air, spinning several times before he landed on his back, dazed.

Before he showed up at the Academy, Sebastian was a Judo champion. He wasn't afraid to let Chloe know how good he was, and how she had no hope of winning if he was serious, but he would go easy on her. He wasn't going easy on her anymore, and he was getting annihilated. She was teaching him humility. Chloe hadn't been practicing Judo for that long, but her strength-draining power gave her a massive advantage. She could toss him around like a ragdoll now, which more than made up for her imperfect technique.

"Want to keep going, Sebastian? I'm getting some good practice in. Trash talk aside you're not half bad."

"N-no."

And then Sebastian went off to complain to Seiken. Chloe watched him, amused.

Seiken was asleep on the roof, laying haphazardly across the edge of the concrete taking up far too much space. However, his nap was interrupted when someone entered- he knew their scent, but it wasn't anyone he was actually close with- Havoc and Emily were the only individuals that could claim that.

Instead, his gaze was slowly opened to see Sebastian standing there with a sour look on his face. Seiken's eyes slowly closed as he yawned like a great cat, fangs glinting in the light. "What do ya' want Seb ..?" he asked simply, and like a waterfall- the man explained the situation. Once more, that dumb pride of his had gotten him in trouble. It was almost unfair, compared to other people, Sebastian was an incredible athlete.

But he kept picking fights with people that were monsters among monsters, like him, and this "Chloe" girl. Though he doubted she was on level with him .. no one was. A bitter thought, even Hai whom had been combat focused in training and power had died at his hand after all.

"Fine fine I'll go look at least .. just shut up again it, being a sore loser makes you look like an idiot .." he commented idly- before his hand pushed downward, slowly raising his massive frame upward before his gaze settled on the door.

A few minutes later, Seiken boredly pushed the door to the Gym, and immediately several conversations stopped. At this point, the Basketball Ace was quite well known here- games he spent basically not even close to trying, and crushing everyone effortlessly. He had never been in a fight, he had turned the martial arts groups down- and there was a reason for that. Martial arts were used to kill.

He couldn't give the beast more ammunition. Especially with rumors of him lifting the football fullbacker by the head in the lunchroom for laying a hand on Emily. Instead, he simply collapsed into the bleachers- the metal groaning a bit at his sudden weight, and he watched. Wondering which this "Chloe" girl was.

Her tail fwooshed as it lashed out, striking the punching bag with a loud crack. She was in a fighting stance, still in her exercise gear. Nobody else really felt like doing Judo anymore, so she had moved on to practicing something else.

Each time she did her tail strike, she led into it with a feint of a jab, stepping into it, rotating her body. Crack! Crack! THWACK!

"Ow! Ow." Chloe stepped back and cradled her tail. Certain parts of her tail were very sensitive, and that was the part which struck the bag this time.

"You okay, Chloe?" asked one of the other demons in attendance.

"Yeah, I'm fine. That last hit kinda... didn't work out for me very well." She moved over to the bleachers. "I'm not trying that again for a little bit. Haha."

His ear twitched, he heard the name. Chloe. Feline eyes slowly slid to look at the girl with a sidelong glance- the first thing he noticed being her obvious non-human body, not that he really gave a damn, it was a simple observation. Hell, it was even attractive, really. He had been incredibly surprised initially that he had been so attracted to Emily- someone that looked so .. human, but the reasoning that had come afterward had made it make far more sense. The beast in him preferred non-humans, they were less likely to break.

Still, he barely batted an eye as he watched her meander toward the bleachers- and in doing so- him. She had hurt her tail somehow it appeared, and as he adjusted slightly, sprawled out over the bleachers taking up half of them- he would tilt his head slightly. He wondered why he didn't have a tail sometimes, but then he saw how much of a hindrance it seemed to be for those that had them and it made sense again.

"Bruise it?" the deep voice would suddenly fill the air, a low, powerful, yet lazy rumble like a great male lion grumbling at his pride. His feline eyes of the massive man looking toward her calmly, not moving anything but his eyes- even his head remaining immobile and relaxed against the bleachers.

"Surprised you didn't manage to bruise your hand on Seb's head .." the comment was innocent but seemed serious as he slowly closed on eye, the other remaining half open to keep her in observation range. He didn't know the girl, but he had a vague idea of the club surrounding him now that he really looked- demons, so probably part of that demon club he had heard about. He didn't really get it, but then he saw everyone as just 'people' or 'animals' and nothing in-between. So perhaps that was why.

There was an unusually large number of demons using this gym right now - maybe 5 or 6 out of the dozen or so - but no one club was laying claim to the area. Only 3 of the demons here were actually in the DSU. It was a sort of open practice, arranged by members of the martial arts club but technically not a club event. Chloe and her friends were making it a little crowded today.

Did she bruise her tail? "Nah," Chloe said. "I don't think it can bruise, actually." She looked up at the man who asked her. The first thing that she noticed was his sheer size. The mannerisms came next. He was more like a statue than a man - or maybe like a big cat, remaining motionless, coiled, ready to pounce. Like a big cat, she kind of wanted to roll him over and rub his belly.

He referenced her earlier practice-fighting with Sebastian. "Heh." She smiled. "I wasn't hitting him in the head though. We were doing judo. That's mostly grappling." She was surprised people were already hearing about that. "Are you a friend of his?"

Chloe didn't follow the sports teams on campus very closely, or the high school gossip. Her head was too buried in university courses and club stuff. She extended a hand for him to shake. "Chloe Black. Daughter of Gabriel Baltimore. Nice to meet you."

Seiken remained relaxed against the bleachers as she approached, and responded to him. His head tilting slightly, "Hm .. can't bruise huh .." he pondered that- anything could bruise, it just took a lot more for some things. Hell. Even he could bruise if you shot him with a tank. His lazy thoughts were interrupted as she explained they had been doing Judo, and he snorted, "Figures .. that sounds like him," he stated with a dry tone.

He had a superiority complex due to his size, and species- it didn't really surprise Seiken that the man enjoyed Judo. Shaking his head slightly he would shift his gaze over toward her as she offered her a small hand- after a moment, he would grunt, slowly stretching his long arm out as a massive hand extended- accepting her grasp. Skin like a sharks, thick and strong, layered with sandpaper like calluses grasped her own- old scar's covered his fingers and hands from torture wounds of the past, his claws sheathed, ending in points but halting before they extended past his fingertips to ensure they didn't catch on anything.

"Friend is a bit of a stretch .. he's a teammate though," he replied idly- his eyes relaxed while he gave her a surprisingly gentle handshake, as if afraid to break her. Afterward, his hand would slide back down to the bleachers, finally he would properly introduce himself, "Seiken Jin Hou," he would state simply as he stretching outward- long limbs popping at the joints several times before relaxing once more.

He seemed pretty dismissive of the idea of Judo. Or perhaps Chloe was just reading a little bit too much into that snort. Either way, she found herself wondering just how far she could throw someone this big, if she'd done enough feeding recently. Maybe his 'teammate' Sebastian could still help her accomplish that.

His hand engulfed hers completely. She giggled a little bit about their size difference. "You're so big!"

"Phrasing!" remarked Chloe's demon friend from earlier. He was sitting by the end of the bleachers, sipping his water.

Chloe blushed a little, trying to laugh it off. "Shut up, Derek!" He smirked to himself and went back to messing with his phone. "But really though, Seiken. Are you part giant, or something?"

As she said he was big, he glanced at the man that made a comment, and without blinking his gaze traveled back toward Chloe. Without missing a beat, or even hesitation, he stated in a calm, serious tone without even a hint of embarrassment or concern, "I hear that alot, in both ways."

Seemingly unbothered by this statement he would instead focus on her next question and tilt his head slightly, before shaking it. "I'm mostly human. The rest of me is a weapon .. there's no mystical blood in me, as far as I'm aware. I'm a creature that shouldn't exist." once more, this was stated with blunt, forward words that didn't seem to realize how cruel he was being to himself saying that- or perhaps knew full well, and just didn't care.

He was picking up on something else, specifically when she blushed- something dangerous. His nose picked up the faint pheromones, the twitch of body language, and it appealed to the beast inside him- it was similar to Emily. His eyes narrowed, his instincts already wanted him to have multiple females, he didn't need them telling him to claim this girl as well. How damn annoying. Sadly this meant, that his eyes wandering over her hips and legs- and not in a disgusted way, was completely obvious.

Seiken was making no attempt at hiding checking her out- she had nice hips, which was something he was instinctually drawn too. Damn it. Slowly his gaze lifted to examine her, before he finally spoke out of curiosity- "Did you crush Seb as bad as it sounded like?"

The demon-boy spat out his water, sputtering, laughing, coughing. Chloe just grinned at Seiken. She was a little incredulous - it seemed like the sort of thing lots of guys would claim.

She wasn't really phased by his matter-of-fact claim that he 'shouldn't exist.' She was used to that sort of comment being a lovecraft-inspired joke. Some of her friends were eldritch abominations, affronts to nature and everything good in the world. Her father was the sort of being whose true nature filled mortals with existential dread. "You're in good company, then, Seiken. I probably shouldn't exist either."

Chloe could almost feel his eyes on her skin. That didn't phase her either.

"I guess that depends on how bad he made it sound, Seiken," Chloe said. But she knew he had destroyed him. Sebastian's usual array of throws and attacks didn't work very well on Chloe - she was usually able to use her tail to keep herself upright long enough to turn it back around on him. On offense, the way her legs could bend made her a force to be reckoned with, able to hook around a foot and give her leverage when her opponent least expected it. All of these things compounded the unfair advantage of her strength-draining - before she kicked that in, Sebastian had managed to throw her once.

"Do you want a demonstration?" There was enough open space on the mat for them to go at it.

Seiken tilted his head slightly, "Anything natural should exist," he commented idly- before he would allow his gaze to flicker toward the sputtering demon boy in the corner. His eyes blinking only once in a mixture of confusion and curiosity at his choking and laughing, not really understanding what was so funny.

Instead, however, his thoughts were interrupted by her words, and he understood almost immediately that what she meant when she said "it depends on" was "yes". He could see how she would overwhelm him in a way- Demons were naturally stronger than other species, just like Angels- or whatever it was Seb was. But her body was far better designed for grappling.

Plus, he had an arrogant streak that usually gave his opponents an advantage before he realized it.

Still, as she instead offered to give him a demonstration he simply shook his head once, continuing to lazily watch her. "I'm sure Seb would demand that I do for his "pride" since I'm the only other person he knows that's beaten him, but I didn't really come here for that. Mostly just came to shut him up and see who put him in his place." he commented idly. But the real reason for him refusing was far simpler.

He was scared he would hurt her. Just like he was scared he would hurt anyone, everyone, just by existing- just by trying to shake someone's hand with even a bit of his power and crush their arm. Perfect control. Never care. Never try.

These were the three laws he lived by, and it was better for everyone that way.
