"If it is too much. We can work on that later." He said. He didn't want to be a bother with his own personal wants. "Mr. Octain will do if that is easier." when he finished talking and took his spell book on his lap and begin to flip through pages. Looking for the correct date.

"Ah yes.. May 21st 1996.." He stated. Quickly reading how he was recalling it. Then looking at Adelene as he closed the book. his eyes looking at the fire.

"Originally.. It was a nice sunny day that slowly turned into a dark fog. The mist rolled into the town. I left my daughter at a small hotel. When I opened the door to find out what was going on. I had been a nomad for two years at this point. The door opened and instead of a hallway.. I saw a lustful forest. Like the tropics. The place was a paradise. Before a voice crawled into my head. Like someone wanted out.. More like in. By the time I walked into the that door.. It was in my mind. 'You are the Magistar. I have been that who has been around for centuries. A mountain that floats in the air. I look for a master. Survive my trials and you shall be rewarded. I challenge thee. To life or death.' As he heard the voice the whole forest came to life. Grasping me in it's clutches as I was hoisted up into the air. My mind.. Riddled with theories... But no fear. I had taken his challenge as I utilized my Ice Blades to cut myself down. Landing as more of the vines, trees and rocks almost sprang to life. My answer. 'Can you do better than that?'. Then.. We had spent 6 long months. My survival was key in this. I ran, I hid. I stopped all in my way if I had to as a last resort. Though the mountain shared the same thing. It matched my kindness with my own. As I wasn't out right destroying. It allowed me rest at night. Though the hunt continued. The mountain and I spoke to each other. Sharing dreams. Our wants and desires. This bloody trial left my with scars.." He said as he moved his cloak and showed his arm. Covered in still healing scars. He looked at them. Scratches, burns. Cuts. "The six months I spent on that mountain was a trial of determination. My will and my love for life. I was hunted like a Fox. By nature itself. As well as the powers I poses. The Arcane wanted me to fail. Yet I still survived. I had found a small passage way that lead to a catacomb, where a large crystal. The source of it. Now hidden from all but me. As it shifts the various Outer Planes. Woulds like ours. Govern by various creatures and magic. I spent some time venturing there.. While looking at the crystal. The wind spoke once more. Begging me to be it's master. I had agreed. It bound itself to me. And I to it. My trusted friend and adviser. As well as a thorn in my side."

He said. Still looking longingly at the camp fire. As if he was recalling it all in his head as well.

Adelene had crossed her legs and leaned forward very closely. Campfire stories were a stranger to her, and she loved that she was hearing one now. And as Octain shared his tale, she was able to imagine what it was like. To be stuck in a hunt for so long.

As the sentences went and passed, she remembered how she was stuck in a hunt in the past as well. But unlike Octain, she had been stuck in it much longer-- around six years. And unlike the mountain, the man who hunted her had no kindness. "It must've been really tough," she said, once he was done speaking. From the flame, her eyes traveled back to Octain's. "I've tried being chased and hunted myself. Nothing good came out of it though. Well... aside from me ending up in this island." She chuckled.

"It was tough, but the Mountain was kind enough to give me what I had needed to survive once he understood my purpose. That did not make nature any easier though. Many times I found myself cornered and trapped. Though it was an experience." He said. Though it made his spells become even stronger, he never used their full potential. When he heard that she was chased and hunted he raised an eyebrow. "I am curious now.. If you wish to talk about it. I shall not tell a soul."

He said. He would love to hear something from her. A tale, a story. "If you do not wish to relive it I understand each of us have our demons that we do not wish to share. Even I." He stated. Looking up into the air. Remembering the long battle he had years ago before he became a nomad.

"Oh, well..." She was glad he'd like to hear, but she'd rather not expound her tale. She rubbed her nape awkwardly and shrugged. "It's not a very good story. Nor a very good memory. Maybe I'll share it with you next time, Mr. Octain."

Her smile was apologetic and slightly shy. She'd just mentioned about it but she's starting to see her memories again, and she hated how it easily consumed her. "It's not that much of a secret but... talking about it isn't so easy on my part. Especially when I get nightmares every night."
((I'm sorry it's short ;-; ))

"Take your time. I am here to help the students of the school after all." he said as he rubbed his eyes. His exhaustion got to him as he felt himself almost falling asleep. Nights of unrest tossed him off his game for the most part.

"Well.. Would you like to share something? Something you enjoy at the very most? What is a good memory you would like to share?" He said. Was just trying to get some kind of roundabout campfire story going with her to make things easier. "If not I understand. I have various more tales if you wish." He smiled under his mask. He wanted to take it off for a bit. Feeling the breeze on his face once more. Though he only took his mask off for one person.

That was it. It was all for his star.

It was nice to know how understanding and open Octain was. Adelene felt much lighter and more comfortable. She scooted closer, now willing to share something for the professor to know. "There is something. Like when I first saw what the roofs were like." She thought it was a nice story to tell, if only because they were already on the roof. "I went to a grocery shop with a friend, and then we cooked some spicy meatballs spaghetti in a cooking classroom." She remembered they even slipped a bottle of wine into the campus. She wasn't sure if that was okay or not though. "And then we had our picnic here while we tried to get to know each other more." She chuckled, rubbing her nape awkwardly. She was telling Octain a memory of someone important and dear to her, and she realized that it was actually embarrassing to share something like that to a professor. Even though this professor already insisted for her to treat him as a friend. "Uh... And we might have drunk some wine, too."
