With the manor back in reasonable order and the classes back open, Cordelia had once again been invested in her working. She was still rushing about the house trying to help her fathers try to get all of the businesses and their extended family back into reasonable working order. In hopes of getting some kind of privacy with some of her work, Cordelia had disappeared into one of the little cafe's that were scattered across Manta Carlos.

Her booth was fairly neat with all the different piles of papers and books that she had to reference as she did her school work. A small pair of headphones lay on her ears, tilted awkwardly back to avoid messing with her horns - blasted things liked to get in the way more often then she would like to admit. It was obvious she had been there for a while - there were two plates set off to the side suggesting that while she had eaten, she had only snacked, along with two cups of what used to be herbal tea.

A creature of habit, it was the same cafe she always went to when she needed to just work without the events of her home. But that also meant that someone could find her if they really needed her for a while. But Cordelia had gotten so accustomed to the jingle of the door that she had drowned it out and ignored it even as one of her own kin strode into the room.

Sherry loved little cafes. There was a warmth to them, a homey feeling that she couldn't get rid of. She went to little places like that often with Lexi, or even by herself. It brought her a joy that nothing else could compare to. Today, it was one of her days. No homework, no girlfriend; no responsibilities. Sherry was going to treat herself the best that she could. Wearing a cute outfit with kitty stockings and blue flats, she felt like no one would stop her. She had received some compliments on her way to the cafe, but she thought nothing of them after she thanked them; she was trying to be a little less friendly. She went into the building, the smell of baking goods and caffeine fueling her excitement. Her eyes trailed over everyone, before landing on her sister. With a gentle squeak, the orange haired girl made her way over. "C C?"

It was another paper she had been working on that took up most of her time. They were doing debates in her language class and she wanted to make sure she had all the things she needed in order to get a good grade. She could argue with someone for hours but that was generally on more social aspects or with problems between people - not topics. So Cordelia was emmersed in different articles and research to back her given argument up.

She had been reaching a lovely (read: bitter) argument piece from one of the news outlets on the topic when a voice cut through the music in her headphones. She hit pause on her phone, slipping the headphones back around her neck and looking up to the other. Blinking her golden eyes, she gave a bright smile.

"Sherry, hello. How are you?" Always how she started a conversation, asking the other about their day and how they were. The demon was nothing if not caring for the rest of her family at any given time.

She hopped that she wasn't disturbing her. She fixed her hair behind her ears, looking down at her sister. "I'm good! I'm great actually." She spun around for Cordelia, wanting her to get a look at her outfit. "Do you like it? I thought it worked well with the season." Sherry was starting to get a bit more into looking good- now that she had someone to look good for. "How are you? I hope that your school work hasn't eaten you up!" There was s soft giggled that escaped her.

Cordelia smiled as her twin twirled around in her new outfit. Sherry always had a fabulous sense of smile to the child of pride, and she often liked to ask her about certain pieces when she couldn't decide what to wear herself. It was nice to talk with someone about the mundane things like that sometimes, just embracing simple things like actually feeling good in ones own skin and clothes. The golden haired demon admired the pieces and how well they were put together.

"You look fabulous, Sherry, as always." The young woman chirped, tilting her computer screen down to give her sister her full and undivided attention. She let out a half sigh and half chuckle as she flickered her gaze over the work sprawled out on the table. It was a cleanier mess of papers and study materials. She skipped over her own dishes as she looked back up to her sister.

Cordelia gave a shrug and a smile. "I'm okay. Getting back on track now that the virus is gone. Been catching up on school work and helping papa get everything back into a manageable status." Papa, or father, had usually been Vito. Klaus seemed to handle things well on his own, so Cordelia never seemed to feel the need to ask.

"Thanks." She smiled, looking around before pulling a chair to sit across from her. The other girl always dressed so nicely, even when she had to help her. It was nice that they had something to bond over. "It looks and sounds like a lot but- I know you and I know that you'll get it all done." Cordelia was such a smart girl. She helped dad dad more than a lot of the kids did, which she admired. "How is dad dad doing with it all? I hadn't gotten a real chance to talk to them."

Cordelia shuffled her belongings to allow plenty of space for the other, making sure the dishes were far from the edges not to accidentally break them. That had happened once during finals and she just about cried from the stress. She put some of the more unneeded papers away since she was logical enough to get them scanned so she at least had a digital copy - though something about papers was comforting.

"I want to say he's fine but truthfully I'm not entirely sure myself. I have to hunt him down if I want to even say hello." She chuckled softy, leaning back into her seat. "Haven't seen much of anyone unless I hunt them down right now, between my own work and everyone else's."

There was a physical toll being taken on her again, and it was starting to show. Her make up was slightly smeared around her eyes, and she lacked her usual lipstick. Her usually brushed clean hair was tied up in a pony tail to keep it out of her face, and the bags under her eyes could be seen despite her attempt to cover them with foundation or concealer.

"Anyway. How've you been recovering from the march chaos?"

"They are always busy." She said with a light sigh, her eyes fixated on a certain paper. She took her eyes off, though, and focused on her sister. "Things have been hectic, but I think that I'm okay." She said with a smile of confidence. She had to be okay. With a breath, she pulled out her phone and gave it to Cordelia. It was a camera faced to her. "Are you sure you're okay CC?"

She smiled slightly and nodded. It was certainly a hectic life sometimes - between school and the gang and their own family. Cordelia had been searching for maybe something to do outside of the gang, just to help get some extra money to go out and do things when she actually had time. Though she seemed to forget that might take up what little time she had.

When handed the mirror, she grimaced. Her fingers tapped around her eyes like she was disatisfied with the makeup. "I promise I'll be fine. Once I get caught up, I'll look significantly better." The young woman handed back the phone. She had been running on caffeine most likely, judging by that slight tremor in her grip. But as soon as the phone was taken her hand was back in her lap.

"Don't let me stop you from ordering, I doubt you came in here just to see me." Cordelia waved her sister off, giving a small smile. "I personally like some of their sandwiches."

"CC." She frowned, taking her phone back as her eyes just trailed her. Why was she doing this to herself? Why on earth? "You need to take care of yourself, now." It was almost a demand, wasn't it? "I don't want you getting so bad that it... Takes you forever to get back to yourself." Sherry was worried, of course. "I-Oh, right." The girl turned to look at the menu, blinking at her choices. "Hmmm, sandwiches?"
