Cordelia said nothing in response to her sisters demand. She knew that Sherry was worried - the young pride demon had been on the other side plenty of times. Sometimes it felt like convincing people to take a break for the sake of their mental and physical health was more like a job than anything else. But she knew that her current situation could only go down hill from here.

But as a child of pride, she wasn't going to let another tell her what to do so easily.

The young woman nodded at her comment on the sandwiches."Their Italian inspired submarine sandwich is personally my favorite, but there are options there indeed." She mentioned, hoping to stray away from their previous topics. "Their chai tea latte isn't bad either if you're looking for a drink. Or their hibiscus iced tea." She opened up her laptop again and began to tap away onto whatever caught her attention again.

"Planning on going out again?" She asked her sister with a small smile.

She waited in the silence, before nodding to herself. "Hm, okay!" There was a smile on her features nonetheless, before she looked over to the menu. There was indeed a lot of choices that could work well for her, but it was more so an afterthought to their sister's mental health. "Hm, I am a bit thirsty." They both sounded good, too. She'd have to have one and then try the other the next time. She snapped back into attention. "Well, Lexi and I are going out tomorrow, for a date." The orange haired girl smiled. "And you? Going out with some friends?" She only hoped that CC wasn't boxing herself into a corner.

Cordelia let her sister go back to her decision makings, returning to her laptop and piles of papers. She looked the same in every situation - whether she was at home in her room or in the kitchen, or at a cafe near the Academy. She just worked silently as the other mulled over her options, shifting awkwardly to readjust in her seat. The young woman took a deep breath before drinking from her cup again, her eyes not leaving the screen again.

She tilted the screen a bit to talk to her with a small smile on her face. "I hope you two have a lovely time, where are the two of you going for your date?" Cordelia had not communicated much with the significant others of her siblings, though she tried to at least be aware of the relationship. She wanted to be able to help her siblings should something happen but also respect their privacy as needed. Invading their romantic lives was a rabbit hole she didn't want to go down.

"Ah, no. Everyone's a little busy at the moment, and so am I." She replied, motioning to her belongings. "Maybe when things slow down for all of us, something can be arranged. But you know, with school and the virus. I'm glad you and Lexi are getting back to normal things so fast considering all of the commotion from the past couple weeks."

"We are going to the beach. I wanted to practice my powers a bit and try to swim too." The water always made her feel better. "It's nothing special really. Just spending time with her is enough for me." Sherry gave her sister a smile. "You aren't some workaholic adult, are you?" Why would anyone want to be like that? "You have to- get away from your screen and live a little, CC."

Cordelia could only give a polite smile to her sister at the explanation of plans. She had gone out a few times to decompress - but mainly to get the kinks out of her joints before going back to work. But she always thought it was nice to hear her siblings talk about how they managed to get back on track. Especially with some of their abilities - Cora knew her sister loved her element almost as much as she loved her girlfriend.

"I'm glad to hear you're going to have some time together, and get back to the water. I have heard that the Manta Carlos beaches have some of the best water for those who can manipulate it." She chuckled. She could understand that in a sense - sometimes elements were as fitful as the users. Controlling her own element was always a... an adventure, to say the least.

She gave a small snirking sound, her fingers tracing across the few decorations on the back of her laptop. "I would neither categorize myself as an adult or a workaholic, Sherry. I would just like to help everyone get back on track. When things settle, so will I." Cordelia told her sister. Previous activities could testify that was not always true - she had few days where she said she had a little bit of work. Any school work that was lessened was replaced by her powers practice.

"I live just fine!" The woman huffed a strand of golden hair from her face.

She still worried. Sherry worried about what Cordelia, and where her current path was taking her. She was still so young, and sitting alone like this for hours couldn't be good, could it? It just didn't seem right to her. "The water here really is lovely. I love the way it shimmers as the sun goes down, or how it seems to speak to whoever takes notice of it." maybe she was just rambling now, but her connection to the water was undeniable. "I'm glad that you help others so much... I just... Maybe we should hang out more, when it doesn't seem like you are split in between your work and me?"

Even though she had no idea how it felt to be so attached to the element, Cordelia nodded. Elementalists always had their way with whatever they knew - just like Cordelia had her way with the Dark Light.... Though she was certain that water was much less fussy than dark light.

There, her smile faltered a bit. "Sherry, you know that if you want time to hang out, all you have to do is ask. Family's always more important than work."

Vito had pushed that rather deep into her head very early into her years with them. Family first. And if Sherry wanted to hang out right then, and really wanted it - then she would put her work aside for a little while.

She chewed at her lip. As much as it was easy to just ask her, she didn't want to seem clingy. She didn't want to seem like she only ever wanted to hang out with her. "I know...I just, I don't know when to ask. You always look so busy and the last thing I want to be is a.. A nuisance for you and what you need to get done." She frowned a bit, fixing her hair behind her ears. "But I'll try more, to ask you to go places with me... Okay?" She wanted to make a stamp on her sister's life, to be remembered.

"You know that I always get my work done anyway, Sherry." She chuckled a bit. The reason she was so busy most of the time was because she would start early and then when she was technically done, comb through it all to make sure she didn't make any major mistakes.

A pride demon with a little bit of perfectionism. Who would've guessed?

"Okay." She nodded with a small smile. "So you're out and about today, remind me of what you're doing out and about?"
