"I don't mind carrying mostly everything. Everyone does their best to keep me from getting swarmed. It's the little things I can do to help." Sabra wrapped her own arm around her friend's shoulders giving an impromptu one armed hug, careful not to accidentally crush her friend. When the conversation turned to hair and music Sabra gave a soft laugh. "Than you know nothing about the glorious grooming techniques of the noble line of Dawnlight!" The tall woman flicked a hand through her sparkling blond hair in the sun's light. She didn't need to tell them about the marvelous shampoo's they had in this world which really helped.

"As for song, I do not think the hymns of my youth would be appropriate for this setting. And I don't have a bard's training to try and make anything up on the spot." That though seemed to be rectified quickly. Something that Sabra did find herself getting caught on was Seyyal's topic on the clothing. "I can't help but agree. I'm still not use to showing this much of my legs and arms."

"Hey, if you want to try to take food away from a pride of Lionesses it's your funeral. Dragon or no. Lottie can make a mean sand sandwich when she wants to," Seyyal joked as Alaric implied the meat was all for him and Lottie poked back with her own playful threat.

Then she pretended to cringe as Sabra began to go on about the Dawnlight hair legacy. "Oh no, she's on a rant about hair again. Everyone run!" But she didn't move away from her friend. No she was perfectly content to spend time hanging out with her best friends. Teasing was just part of being close-knit and traveling together for such a long time.

Speaking of which.... Sabra had just opened the door for something she was pretty sure would get a reaction from the other girl. Seyyal made a show of glancing down at the modest outfit Sabra was wearing and shook her head. "Oh yeah. If you bare any more skin Ms. Dawnlight you might have all the boys flocking to come say hello." A wry grin crossed her face.

"Do not diss the Dawnlight Legacy! It has been passed down for generations!" Sabra points a finger to the air like she was orating to the heavens! Smiling after that though Sabra laughed and hip bumps Seyyal. Being the Ray of Sunlight came back to Sabra like an old coat. Soon however Sabra finished up rotating the meat which allowed her to step away from the food for a moment.

When Seyyal told Sabra about how much skin she was showing the young noble girl blushed. "No, not having that. mmmmmnope, definitely not." Sabra began looking around and finding her towel she through it around her shoulders and sat in the sand easily enough. "Nope. I don't need any of them looking at me like that.... what would the Princess think!" Sabra began to blush more and her gaze got a far off look. Thinking about the princess always got her looking like this. Flushed and distant.

"Considering Lottie can just swap the meat with a pile of sand I wouldn't get very far. Besides, I'd rather lounge around on the warm sand than have to fend off a group of angry lionesses. More trouble than it's worth y'know?" Alaric smirked and shrugged. Then he spread a wing over Lottie's head to provide some shade for her.

Alaric tilted his head at Sabra's reaction to Seyyal's teasing. That was a little weird for sure. "Maybe the princess would wanna hang out with you guys because you're dude magnets? I dunno. If they're like me the smell of the food will probably draw em in before your swimsuits. Not that they're more interested in the food just- I think I said too much," his face was steadily becoming more red as he said this. He glanced at Lottie for a brief second before quickly looking away.

"Definitely more trouble than it's worth for sure, Alaric," she chuckled and then pulled her attention away from the two as Alaric began shielding Lottie from the sun. Very cute. And she felt a little like she might be interrupting them.

Seyyal laughed at Sabra's reaction and then shook her head. "Ok, ok. Sabra please... you don't need to cover up. It's fine-," she paused mid-sentence as Alaric mentioned how the princess might like hanging out with people who attracted guys in that way. Oh no. That was liable to set Sabra off a bit more.

"Maybe... we just quite while we're all ahead," she said as she looked between everyone. "We're just here to relax and have fun. Enjoy the food and the sun and the sand."

And then in a further attempt to distract and separate the possible issues she continued, "Sabra, anyone else, you want to go stick your feet in the water with me? I know you won't want to Alaric but maybe you can help Lottie with her castle while we do this?"

"OH there she goes on about the princess... now you really done it." spoke up Lottie, amused by her friend's antics. With the way that Sabra holds the princess with reverence, she almost wondered if her friend yearned to be the princesses knight in shining armor. Lottie's attention soon turned to Alaric as he spoke up.

"Oh yeah I could do just that. Thanks for the idea! Your too smart for your own good... but at least your smart enough to know not to mess with the Lionesses!" chortled Lottie at Alaric's comment. When she felt a shadow cast over her she looked up to find Alaric's outstreched wing. This earned a smile from Lottie who scooted just a little closer to Alaric so that she was fully covered by the shade. "Ahh thanks! Your like my own personal sunshade. Makes me wonder where you have been all of my life when I trekked under the sun of a blistering desert."

Lottie's head perked over to the unfinished sand castle as Seyyal made mentioned of it and decided to take up her suggestion of having Alaric help in its construction! It sounded like something fun they could do since Alaric had a natural aversion to water.

"Oh yeah! Brightburn Castle! Wanna help me finish it up? I was thinking of collecting some sea shells to decorate it so maybe we can walk around and collect some?"

Sabra stopped blushing, her body went ridged and her hands tightened on the towel wrapped around her shoulders. Slowly she stood, letting go of the towel as she moved into a standing position. Her legs spread, braced for her to move and act if needed. Her eyes glaring death and destruction at Alaric right now. If it wasn't for the power restraining bracelet she was still wearing her fury might have been more fiery and cinematic. As it stood, she was a tall young woman who just had her buttons pushed in all the wrong ways.

"What did you just say about the Princess?" Her muscles still tight and wanting her to act out with out thinking. Sabra's body was extremely well honed to do combat and to fight. "Did you just imply, that our Princess, would wish to be accosted by..." Sabra's fury was slowly growing, her friends all knew the signs. But Sabra had been giving a cold harsh whisper that all would hear, but her own words had drowned out the attempted calming words of Seyyal. Now was her friends chance to calm her down before something seriously bad happened.

"Sabra. Stop it right now. He didn't mean anything by it and I swear if you ruin my nice relaxing beach party....," Seyyal snapped loudly and in a very abrupt manner. Physically moving her own body in Sabra's way.

"Lottie, or Maddie, probably best if she can't see Alaric right now."

She gritted her teeth and then kicked up some sand, causing her blades to form in both hands, crossed in front of Sabra. "Stop."

It took him a second to realize what was even happening. When he did, he tensed, his first instinct was to just snap right back at her. It just reminded him of how other people would single him out growing out. People starting full blown altercations over the smallest most trivial things. Life must've been nice, cushy, and problem free if this was the sort of thing she could blow her energy on. Not an actual threat or anything, just something said in passing as a joke.

He wouldn't dignify this by sinking to her level either. Seyyal was doing her best to keep things under control. This was her victory party after all. He looked between everyone, then turned and started walking away with a growly huff. He wasn't sure how far he would go, or if he was going to come back. Right now he just needed a reasonable amount of space. He wouldn't fight Sabra, but he also wasn't dignifying this bullshit with a response.

Madeline had been trying to decide what music to put on with the bluetooth speaker she and Shir had packed. There were so many playlists she could choose from - and then she got distracted by a prime selfie opportunity. She and Shir looked pretty damn good.

But look at that. Seyyal's friend Sabra was fucking crazy, apparently. Maddie felt like she shouldn't have been surprised - the lionesses were a mercenary band, and that didn't lend itself to being calm or well-adjusted.

Seyyal was asking for her help - she needed Alaric to be invisible. So Madeline kipped up to her feet and walked a little closer to the drama. "Alright. Sure." As easily as Seyyal could ask for it, Madeline made it happen. Alaric was now invisible. You wouldn't even be able to tell he was walking around on the sand, either - his footprints were also hidden.

"Want any of her powers off?" Maddie added. Seyyal should know to specify which ones, if she wanted that. Madeline didn't know what Sabra could do until she did it.

It was just now starting to register for her that Seyyal had her swords out, and this might be a dangerous place for her to be.
