Murphy grimaced in concession. He'd heard the argument before, and it certainly had its merit, but he'd never really been able to wrap his head around the idea of 'don't worry about the past'. To him, the past was certain, already set in stone and laid out in a way that could be easily observed, quite the opposite for the future.
"A fair observation, I suppose, but everyone lives their life in their own way aye? And this island is full of people with abilities that often ostracized or set them apart from their peers back home. Yet here they all are, drinking together. It doesn't have to be for the same reason, but simply doing the same thing as a group gives them a sense of comraderie that they may not have had for a long, long time." An eyebrow was raised when she introduced herself. Well with a name like Sonata Chord it was little wonder she was so entrancing while singing. "Well Sonata, it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance. Would I be correct to assume that you take courses at the academy?"
