Penny in the water makes a ripple effect

"Nah, if you were immortal you'd lose a lot of your ability to care. Things sort of get old after awhile. And hey, I like hearing your passionate speeches." Her grin widened. "I can live vicariously through you that way. What fun, right? So go ahead, tell me more about your passionate subjects."

"You...are not as I expected." That was such a rare thing for Eliana to say. She was almost always right about people. This dude was odd, and that was coming from here. She was starting to get a taste of what others got with her.

"Hey, I didn't say odd. I said you weren't what I expected. Which is true. I didn't take you to be this way the first time I saw you. I thought you would be much more reserved."

Eliana wouldn't have naturally considered herself the best person to discuss morality and other such deep topics. She didn't like to get serious, and she didn't know many of her siblings who did.

"'Party demon herself,' eh? Impressive title. I'm glad to be considered for it." She laughed breathily. "As for your outlook on life, I'm gonna go with milk in the middle of the glass. Always teetering between half empty and half full but never accepting either as complete truth."

"Uh, Excusez-moi? Flirty, maybe, but seduce? Strong word. If you think pinching someone's ear and calling them cute is seduction," she laughed heartily.

"And, and, and, are you daring me to try and get in your pants right now? I don't take well to dares. I complete them and then some."

"So you don't want to have sex with me is what you're saying? A bit odd. Tryin' to stand out there, buddy boy?"

She wanted to point out to him that she wasn't one of those deal-makin' demons who could take his soul or some shit like that, but that would have taken a lot of effort.

"Sure, why the Hell not. But you know, it works a lot less when you know it's coming and are actively going to say no to win a bet. Not like I have mind control powers. As far as you know."
