"Let's make a little deal, shall we?" Eliana said, playing up this whole demon thing. "You tell me, in detail, what you can do, and I'll tell you what I can do."

Allen laughed a bit at the request. " Why would I? I can easily assume what powers you have based off of what parent you have...and if I recall Asmodeus is a demon all about lust. So I can guess that is how you attracted my gaze. You're a demon of lust yourself. Then again there probably is more to you than that... " He shrugged. " I had hoped to press my luck further. But I already know what I had hoped to find out. "
He got up and began to walk away. " So, no more reason to talk to you then. "

"Awfully presumptuous of you," Eliana said as she crossed her arms under her bust and gave him something of an irritated look. "You do know there is more than one Asmodeus, don't you?

"Besides, are you naive enough to believe our abilities are primitive enough to be determined by only one of our parents? That's racist you know. And to be quite frank, I resent your disingenuous assertions.

"And don't think I didn't catch how patronizing you're being."

Okay, Eliana was acting way more offended than she really was, not to say she wasn't a little miffed at his condescending attitude. Mostly, this was amusing to her.

Allen turned around a second after she said that he was racist. " You use that word but I don't think you know what that means. " He shrugged. " You do realize that passing down genes is kind of a thing right? " He assumed demons would be similar in a family, he had no reason not to. He turned his head away from Eliana and continued to walk away before shouting. " Go ahead and prove me wrong then! "

Allen wasn't wrong that at times, Eliana liked to throw the word 'racist' around. It was just fun and tended to rile people up.

"You do realize things may not work the same for demons as other creatures, right?" she asked in the same voice he used on her.

Okay, okay, she was just giving him a hard time. She wasn't completely lying, though. She didn't have the same powers as her father or her siblings. There may have been some similarities, but members of a family could have vastly different abilities. Demonic magic was weird that way.

Eliana snorted. She didn't bother following him because she didn't chase after people (most of the time).

"You're an ass, you know that?" she called to him as he walked.

Allen shrugged and kept on walking. He never said they had the exact same powers, he also said that she had more powers probably. " I was being observant, being an ass can be a side effect of that. " He stopped and closed his eyes. He was just going to show off at this point. He had no reason not to and it might be a little fun.

He held his breathe and concentrated. Everything around him slowed down before coming to a standstill. He opened his eyes with everything around him frozen, including Eliana. He walked back over to the fountain and stood up on the edge of the fountain next to her, minding his balance. He closed his eyes before letting everything started to move again. After everything was back to normal he spoke. " So you wanted to know my power right? I think this is enough of a demonstration. Also I hate to offend people, so....sorry about offending you, if I actually did "

Eliana was going to tell him that being an ass just meant you were an ass and that it was never a side effect of observation, but more a side effect of a condescending attitude.

Then he blinked, and he was beside her again instead of where she was looking. For a long moment, she just stared at him. Not a look of amazement or shock, but a hellish glower.

Her first thought was of how little she liked this boy. He was acting like he was better than her and smarter than her, and she was fuckin' amazing. How dare he.

Her lip curled into a barely suppressed sneer, before all at once she was back to her easy smiling. She watched him, though, like a predator on the hunt.

"How cute," she said pleasantly. The kind of sweetness that accompanied poisoned beverages. "And yeah, you did offend me. Still kind'a doin' it. Hard to accept an apology when it ain't sincere, y'know."

He sighed and sat back down. " S-sorry... " He did not like the way she was looking at him at all. In fact it scared him a bit. His ears drooped down in guilt.

" Um...is there anything I can to do not have you mad anymore? " He knew he probably shouldn't of asked that, but Allen didn't know what else to say. He didn't like having people mad at him especially after they first meet him, though that is probably one of his biggest downfalls.

Wow, and here Eliana thought he'd put up more resistance at her anger. Shows what she knows. This kid was weird, but that's cool. She liked weird. She was weird herself. Just another name for individualism and those who spat the word like poison were just children of sarcasm's ugly cousin, jealousy.

"Oh man," she said with a defeated sigh. "Hard to stay mad at a face like that. Look, I'll let you off with but a shake of the hand, eh? New beginnings and all."

She held out her hand.

He smiled and shook her hand. He was happy that they could get along. " Well, sorry for talking out of my ass.... " His ears perked up a bit. He was very trusting of her, even though she was a demon. He had hope that demons are not all evil and had a bit of good in them. Probably not, but he was naïve for the most part.
