
"Nope, they were sitting out in a big glass bowl. I guess I'll just have to raid the stores and try them all out myself..." She whacked his hand away from her eggs, then pushed him away by the face when he went on to poke her cheek. "Stoooop, you're so meeeean," she whined, pulling her eggs protectively close to herself. "I won't let you have any of those chips if you eat my eggs!"
Alison took a bite of her eggs, making a smug face at Jacob. He could tell from her thoughts that she enjoyed his food a lot. "Mom let you do that?? She never offered for me to have a taste..." She snorted and shook her head. "Wine's weird anyways. It's just grape juice for adults. . .And you better not tell me dad bought a cigarette for you to try too. You got all the cool stuff." Mostly an exaggeration, but Alison was a middle child. It was her job to get jealous.
"Fish tacos," she repeated and mimicked vomiting. "Groooss. But I guess we could go get sushi or something." Ali always acted like she didn't really care, but she really enjoyed spending time with him too. It just made her feel guilty. "Why do your employers work you so hard, anyways? My boss is way lenient at the cafe."
