Alison Beauregard arrived at her dorm escorted by a police officer. Even more embarrassing was the fact that she was still dressed in just a blue bikini, having not had the chance to put her sandals and windbreaker back on before she was taken home. She somewhat dreaded seeing the looks on people's faces for being so scantily clad while a police officer escorted her around, but luckily enough it was late. No one she knew was up and about...or so she thought.

Ali waved the officer off with a thanks and a goodbye and yes I'll be more careful. With a sigh, she turned to her dorm door and went to push it open--only to realize that she'd locked it before she left. Her shoulders drooped as she started to carefully unfold her windbreaker and dig around for her keys.

Jacob had stayed up late to wait for Alison to get home, he'd known she'd gone out but didn't know exactly where she'd gone. It was getting late and he was starting to worry, Alison was a pretty responsible person, so this wasn't really like her.

Finally he'd pick up her stray thoughts as she arrived, just briefly as she passed his door, something about the police. His concern spiked immediately and had to keep himself from bursting out to see what was up, he'd take a few breaths to calm himself and wait for a moment.

Once he was certain the police were gone he'd open his door and step out, his green eyes going to her. "Hey you ok?" he'd say, the stepping over to her, gently putting his hands on her shoulders.

Alison jumped nearly five feet into the air when she heard someone's door open. It surprised her even more to discover that it was her brother; her mind was so occupied that she hadn't picked up on Jacob's thoughts until he touched her shoulders. This was weird. This was totally weird oh no. She pulled up her windbreaker to cover some of her bare skin, her eyes pointed at the ground.

"Yeah, I'm alright. Just some stuff happened at the party and we got kicked out. It's fine." It was bad enough that she'd gone without even telling him; she didn't want him to get all riled up because there were booze and drugs at the party or whatever. Not that she actually partook.

She finally grasped her key and stepped away to unlock her door, trying not to think about how exposed she was feeling. This was the first time she'd worn a bikini out in public, after all, let alone around so many people. Her own brother hadn't even seen her in anything less than a t-shirt and shorts at her worst.

"Why are you up so late? Shouldn't you be in bed? It's, uh.." She checked her phone, only to find that it was dead, "Pretty late."

"Kicked out?" his voice held worry in it and sher of course be able to pick it up from his thoughts. "What happened?" he'd ask, his mind thinking of different scenarios, "I...picked up a few thoughts about cops."

"I was up playing video games and stuff,"
he'd say at first before sighing, knowing she'd be able to see through the lie. "No...I was up waiting," he'd scratch the back of his head, a worried look on his face, "I was worried when you didn't come home, so I stayed up just in case something was wrong."

He'd sigh a bit, "let's step inside before you catch a cold," he'd stretch, holding back a yawn, "you hungry? I can make something, or order something."

Alison had to force her mind onto other subjects before she started feeling bad for feeling self-conscious about her bikini in front of family. She pushed open her door and headed inside, tossing her sandals down while she pulled her windbreaker back on. While she looked for a pair of jeans, she said, "There was alcohol at the party, and it was open to everyone. Including the like, 14 year-olds that were going there. I guess someone reported it and the cops showed up and started arresting people. Someone brought a bunch of weed too, but they left before the cops came I think."

Ali let out a quiet aha when she pulled a clean pair of jeans from a stack of folded clothes on her desk chair. She yanked them on and went to button up. "I was lectured about being more aware and stopping my friends from drinking and all that. Then I was escorted home."

Finally all covered up, she plopped down on her bed with a great big sigh. "You could've just texted me if you were worried that much." Not that she would've known if he did, what with her phone dead. "And um..." Her mind ran through the options. Pizza was fattening, breadsticks were just a bunch of carbs, cinnamon sticks would make her break out... "Scrambled eggs? Soft, English-style--you know what I like."

"It was fun while it lasted. Maybe you'll come too next time."

His concern would spike at the mention of alcohol and possibleunderage drinking, he wasn't one to judge others but that made him worry. "Well, as long you're not hurt or anything," that was his main concern, her safety, he trusted her not to drink or anything like that, she was pretty responsible for her age. He'd follow her inside, "uh...I'm proud of you for not drinking," he'd tell her, giving her a small smile.

"I did text you," he'd say, heading toward the little kitchen, "it's ok though, phone probably died or something." He'd go about cooking her a bit of food, he didn't cook often but he made sure to know some her favourites so he could make them for her when she was feeling down or upset.

Jacob would hum the theme of one of the anime they'd recently watched together as he cooked, not even realizing he was doing it. "I haven't been to a party in a while," he'd chuckle, "it does sound fun." He'd stretch a bit as the eggs started to cook, "I did get some new shorts for swimming, old ones got torn. Though I doubt I'd look as cute as you do in yours," he'd say teasing a little.

"Thanks, I think. Rule number four in a Girl's Guide to Parties warned against drinking whatever's available at a party, but they said it's because it could be spiked with date rape drugs." She shuddered at the thought of it--it was so unlikely that the drinks were actually drugged, but she'd been paranoid from the moment she learned the party was hosted by college kids. "Alcohol's for adults, anyways. If you drank any, I'd beat your butt."

Alison leaned across her bed to plug her dead phone into her wall charger, then leaned back and watched Jacob out of the corner of her eye. She noticed him humming a familiar opening theme, but she didn't think to bring it up just then. "Wait, when did you last go to a party? I only remember Adam's birthday party six years ag--hey!"

She huffed, picked up her pillow, and chucked it across the room at him. She knew he was just saying it to get a rise out of her, but he had to have known that she was conscious about the bikini thing. "You're a jerk." Pouting, she pulled her knees up to her chest and hugged them. "How did your swimming shorts get torn, anyways? It's not like pools have a lot of sharp edges."

"I've been swimming with friends a few times," he'd say, about finished with the eggs, "not really a party I guess." He'd turn off the stove and move the food to a plate, "just swimming and sodas and stuff, I never stayed long honestly, always ended up leaving early for some reason."

He'd dodge the pillow, smiling a little, "easy now, don't want me to spill your food," he'd set the food on the coffee table in front of her before moving to hug her. "I like parties but I guess I'm not really partier," he'd chuckle, "and I'll be eighteen before long, though I don't think I'll ever drink really."

"Oh, the shorts got caught on the inside of washer when I went to pull my clothes out, so they tore," he'd say as he released her from the hug, "got some new ones.....especially since I thought we'd go to the beach soon, maybe have lunch down there if you'd like."

"Ugh, you're probably better at swimming than me, now..." Not that it was a very hard feat. Alison royally sucked at swimming--the best she could do was float, and she could barely even do that half the time. "I don't know why you'd leave a party-not-party early either. They've got free food. The chips anchored me to the party tonight and I still wasn't able to figure out where the college guys got them."

Alison stuck her tongue out at him and went to grab her plate of eggs, only to be caught in her brother's hug. She pretended to be annoyed by all this with a huff and an eye roll, but she hugged him back eventually. "Drinking's probably boring anyways. No way do I want to become a raging alcoholic with a bar tab so far up my butt I vomit the rest of it out."

She huffed in amusement and gently pushed him away when he released her. "I mean, I guess we could. It's been getting a lot warmer up here anyways. Are you sure you have enough time for that, though? I don't want to get you fired just because I want to eat together. I could get a longer lunch break, but..."

He'd chuckle, "did you see the label on the bag?" he'd ask, stealing a tiny bite from her eggs, "maybe I can find some for you." Jacob would gently poke her cheek, "add them to our list of snacks to have during our anime marathon."

Jacob would nod, "it does seem really dumb, only alcohol I've ever had was mom giving me a taste of her wine back home," he'd make a disgusted face, "it was gross, don't see how people can stomach the stuff."

"Don't worry, I get a few days off for summer," he'd say with a smile, "I can take them during one of your days off so we can go down, bring food, or I can take you to one of the restaurants they have near the beach." He enjoyed spending time with her, whether it be watching anime or just hanging out and eating snacks, "I hear a new one opened up that sells good fish tacos."
