Ever since a certain misunderstanding that occurred in Oceania Park, Celesta kept mentioning snakes. Rather she kept hissing like one. The little girl expressed desires to have a pet, so Cecete figured that for her day with the little girl she could take her to her workplace. She coincidentally worked at an adoption center where they had plenty of snakes to choose from. However, she didn't really now much about snakes. The queen was a canary breeder. Therefore this was outside of her comfort zone. She would let her daughter pick between all of the snakes, but she hoped to avoid acquiring one that would create possible trouble for the toddler.

The woman flew over with the little girl in tow and landed gently in front of the adoption center. She found herself feeling a bit nauseous this morning, but it was nothing she couldn't handle. Her gaze shifted over to Celesta, and she crouched down so that Celesta could get off of her back. Her wings began to disappear. She chose the leathery draconic wings to don using her shapeshifter abilities. She began to think about the life growing inside of her and wondered if she should limit her shapeshifting. She didn't want to cause birth complications.

"We are here, Celesta. Let us go find you a pet."

The blonde smiled gently at her. The doors to the place were right there and ready for anyone to enter.

As soon as she was off of her mother's back, the small girl lurched forward excitedly — making those hissing sounds she had grown to adore! The child rushed the doors, hissing excitedly as she clapped her hands and shouted, "Mommy, mommy! I pick? I pick?" She inquired, as she pushed against the doors — somehow the sensors of the automatic doors had missed the child.

She huffed as she aimed a rather spunky kick at the glass doors — whirling to give her mommy a big grin as the sensor picked her up and the doors opened. The child then rushed inside the shop — searching for the snakes and ignoring just about every other animal in the place.

She has soon found snakes — multitudes of them. Though she was soon captivated by the snake eggs — and was running between tanks and shelves, squealing excitedly as she tried to see to the higher shelves — where the more pricey eggs and snakes were kept.

Celesta would be found, trying to climb one of the shelves. There was a rather large sign stating what type of snake egg was being sold. 'Basilisk'. The child was interested in one of the actual hatched snakes — rather than the egg, and was clinging tightly to the shelf she had in front of her.

"Lookit mommy! Lookit!" She shrieked, releasing the shelf with one hand to reach bravely to stuff her small hand into the tank.

Cecete had to keep herself calm and composed. She couldn't afford to run her stress meter too high. However, it was pretty hard to do that when her three-year-old was running around in what was essentially a snake den. Thankfully there were glass cases and whatnot that prevented the snakes from all running loose, but she certainly got a mini-heart attack looking at Celesta reaching into the Basilisk tank. Not only that, but she was climbing the shelves in order to reach the desired tank. The bird mother quickly snatched up the little girl and held her in her arms.

"Do not climb the shelves."

Her eyes then scanned the sign and frowned lightly. She would place the girl back down on the ground provided that she didn't somehow slip out of her grasp or scamper away beforehand. She didn't know much about snakes, but she knew basilisks could be huge and dangerous. She hoped for something that was smaller. She didn't want the snake to bury her little girl or something. Alex would not be remotely pleased. In fact, she began to wonder if this was even a good idea. What would her fiance say?

"There are many snake here. Just point out the one you like."

She nervously pulled her hair with one hand and wrapped it around her ear to make it look natural.

Celesta held tightly to her mother's hand; it might be a good idea for the bird-woman to buy a child's leash for this hyperactive dream. The child peered at the shelves and began to tug her mother's hand furiously. "Mama! Mama! It eatted itself!" She shrieked, pointing toward a cage.

The snake was a brilliant red color, and appeared to be stuck in a loop — though the child reached out to try and touch the tank, and should her mother not pull her away, she'd knock on the glass. The snake released its tail to investigate the knocking, and this only made the child squeal louder.

"Mama! I wan' it!" She danced from foot-to-foot, tugging her mother's hand. "Mamamamamama." She chanted.

Now if it was legal, then she probably would have a leash on the little girl. Then again, would she? That seemed like a cruel practice. While the toddler obviously didn't have enough strength to really pull Cecete around, she followed along to see which snake Celesta was squealing at. The woman failed to stop the knock. Now the snake was looking at her in confusion. She wasn't sure how to feel about the snake. She didn't know what it could do, but she did know that it was beautiful. The red skin reminded her of her fiance. Her fiance would probably prefer being called handsome over pretty though.

The queen let go of the little girl's hand. She beckoned one of the workers over by first name. She worked here long enough to be known by the others. She gestured to the snake.

"This is the snake Celesta desires. Could I learn more about it?"

She uttered this as the snake was being safely taken out of its tank.

The worker, who was lifting the ouroboros from its tank, nodded and spoke. "The Ouroboros is often viewed as a serpentine dragon, or snake, eating its own tail to sustain life. The Ouroboros represents the perpetual cyclic renewal of life and infinity, the concept of eternity and the eternal return, and represents the cycle of life, death and rebirth, leading to immortality, as in the phoenix."

As the worker held the snake out to the small girl, Celesta was gazing at it, giggling quietly as she reached out with both hands, rasping something quietly in what one could only assume was dragon. Once she had the snake, she peered up at her mother, "Mine."

The worker was still speaking: "The Ouroboros is not poisonous, and seems to value life in most tales. There are rumors that, should the Ouroboros bond to it's owner, that it will protect them with its life." While the two adults were speaking, Celesta was still staring at the snake as it began to wrap itself around her fingers, and eventually her arm. "Mine, mama."

Celesta seemed to be pleased with the strange snake. She allowed her gaze to flicker upward, and her nose to scrunch. "Mama. He can't talk." In her eyes, snakes were just smaller dragons.

Cecete listened intently to the worker. So Celesta was drawn to this mythical snake, huh? She was glad that the snake wasn't poisonous at least, but the possibility of it becoming Celesta's defender drew her more. She approved of the beautiful crimson reptile. Her expression certainly indicated such. The woman turned her head to see how she was doing with the snake. The snake didn't seem the least bit bothered around being held and even wrapped around the girl's arm. Her ears picked up draconic grumblings from the girl, but she couldn't quite interpret them yet. She was learning from Alex how to understand it, but she did not have the vocal cords to speak it.

Her fingers toyed with the girl's hair a bit as she gazed upon her and her new companion. This could prove interesting indeed.

"Yes, he is yours. I do not think he will be able to talk. However, certain creatures tend to speak through actions rather than words."

She knew that within this same section there were a few drakes. Those were essentially the dragons' less intelligent cousins. However, the Ouroboros was probably enough. Now she would have to go sign the adoption form and also purchase necessary supplies to take care of the animal.

"What is his name?"

Celesta continued to grumble at the snake, tipping her head to one side in thought. "Mama. He says he's called Moxt." How this snake 'said' what he was called, could only confuse some people, but the child was convinced her snake could talk to her. She stamped her feet as she wriggled her fingers in her mother's grasp — until she could slip free.

The snake was busy eating its own tail once more, around Celesta's wrist like a bracelet. The child, once pleased that her new companion would be all right on her wrist, she grasped her mother's hand and beamed upward.

"I wan' show daddy."

Cecete didn't question Celesta about the choice of name. She just kind of accepted it. Moxt became a bracelet around the little girl's arm. It seemed to signal that this was his partner. Smiling, she gently took her daughter's hand and walked away from the snakes to go to the more office-like part of the building. She spawned a clone of herself to go buy the supplies while she was with the two. The one difference that signaled which one was the real Cecete was her necklace. This necklace would never leave her neck. It was a reminder of how she became Gemini.

"Moxt is his name?"

She uttered as she retrieved a pen. She was trying to fill out the information on the form so that they could take in the snake. She neatly wrote in beautiful print. During this time, she let go of Celesta's hand so that she could write. The blonde was seated in a chair in a little cubicle with a desk.

"Yes, Alex will meet him. I believe that he will like Moxt."

Namely for the lore about Ouroboros being protectors. It couldn't hurt to have another line of defense.

The child bounced in place beside of her mother, bobbing her head. "Daddy speak to Moxt?" She stared upward as she waited, rather impatiently, for her mommy to finish the forms. She was excited to take Moxt home to her daddy.

The little girl is soon busy with watching the snake on her wrist, gurgling to herself, quite content to watch anything than her mother write. Quietly she inquired, "Does he haffta live in the box?" She didn't like that the snakes were in their tanks — if she had it her way she'd let them all free.
