"I am not sure. Moxt seems drawn to you, so perhaps he only speaks to you."

She couldn't be certain, but magical links were a logical explanation on a island like Manta Carlos. Cecete finished the necessary paperwork and completed all needed payments. She placed the cap back on the pen and began to wonder how the Ouroboros would get along with the other pets. There was a lightning snake, a fire bird, a wind puppy, and a dire wolf that all lived at the mansion. Oh yes, there were Abel's aquatic pets too, but Abel never left his room. Fish also couldn't randomly hop out of their tanks.

Celesta then mentioned her concerns on if Moxt had to stay in a tank or not. Her immediate thought was yes, but then she paused to think about it for a moment. The snake had been calm around Celesta this whole time, and if it needed to protect her, then a tank would be a hindrance to that. So no, perhaps he didn't need to reside in one. The clone arrived back with the supplies, tank included. She quickly figured out what she would do with the tank instead.

"No, he does not. He can roam around either with you or within your room. We will make the tank a play pen for him."

Cecete stood up and reached for Celesta's hand.

"Do you want to show Alex the snake now?"

Celesta had kind of tuned her mother out, though when the woman spoke out about her father, the child nodded quickly and reached outwards to claim her mother's hand. "Yes! Daddy."

She bobbed her head excitedly, bouncing in place.

"Let us return home then."

The adoptive mother led her child out of the adoption center. Once they were outside, she spouted wings. She gently moved to pick Celesta up so the little girl and the ouroboros could ride on her back. The clone meanwhile handled carrying all of the stuff. It too spouted wings, but it went with the default harpy wings rather than the dragon-like wings Cecete donned in the presence of the Drakenhardts. She made sure the kid was secured and flew off into the sky. She was fine initially, but Cecete began to visibly show signs of feeling unwell as they went towards the mansion. She wasn't sure what was sapping her energy like this, but the way she landed in front of the manor was concerning. She quickly put down Celesta and held her stomach. Even the clone looked at the original with worry.

"He should be here...."

The queen feinted a smile and forced herself to stand upright. She didn't want to worry anyone.
