Lex laid her head back as well to get a look at his boring ceiling. "You're right. It really is plain." a random memory flashed in her head, and she started laughing. The laughing spurt was short, and it ended with a "ha ha.. ow...." after that, she just chuckled a bit. "I remember at my old school.. The cafeteria had just been painted white. Most of the kids thought it was boring, so they decided that they were going to deface it with grafiti. Not nice grafiti, either. I was watching from behind a corner, and every time they tried to spray the wall, I made the pain turn around and spray them in the face. They got in trouble, since spray paint doesn't wash off the face easily." she explained. She figured that she'd better explain why she was laughing, or he'd think she'd completely flipped her lid. She glanced over at him with an amused smile.

Trephas laughed hard a bit, since he thought that very, very funny. A smile was on his face that showed quite amusement. "I can just see that happen! I can just see the spray paint turning on the kids." Trephas said laughing, a bit more. "I have done many things and seen in my old school, that have been very funny, but if I saw that happen, I would have to treasure that forever." He said, closing his eyes thinking about it, and how much he would love to see it.

"Did you get in trouble for any of it, or did they not know you had powers?" He asked glancing over at Lex.

Lex grinned. She loved making people laugh. It was one thing in life that always pleased her. She was enjoying Trephas' enjoyment of her memory, until he asked if she got in trouble. She glanced over at him, mouth closing into a small, almost sad smile. "No, they didn't know. My powers were what landed me there, but they didn't know." she explained.

She looked away from him for a moment, feeling very much like she'd shared a very delicate part of her past. And she felt a little bit nervous. She knew that she couldn't take it back, and she couldn't lie about it. She had to face it. She turned to look at Trephas again, a smile still on her face.

He watched her and felt a little guilty when he noticed her sad smile, and his own smile left his face to a straight line. He reached over his hand and lead it on her shoulder. He smiled. He normally had something nice to say about something like that, but he didn't know what.

After a bit he moved his hand and he started fiddling around with the pouch that held his juggle balls. He looked towards the ceiling again and thought a bit before turning to Lex. "OK, random question. Doe you like fishing?" He asked cheerfully, while changing the subject away from his one question he had asked about if Lex got in trouble.

Lex smiled. "Actually, I love fishing. It's one of the most relaxing things I do. I don't even care if I catch anything. Put a fishing rod in my hand, give me a river or a lake, and I'll be happy for hours." her smiled turned into a small grin. She knew she probably set herself up for another question, but she didn't want to share her other relaxation things, since they might scare him. After all, how many girls boxed with a punching bag to relax? Well, she did.

She got a look of sereneness as she sifted through all of her ways to relax. There was the bubble bath, which she rarely did, and she smiled softly at the hope that here she'd be able to do that one more. Or curl up on a couch with a good book and a bag of chips. She didn't get to do that one much either. She chuckled slightly under her breath. No wonder she had such an explosive temper. She too glanced up at the ceiling. "It wouldn't be so bad if it was even a little bit tinted. But it's so...flat." a mischievious smile slowly crept onto her face as she looked at the ceiling a bit more. It slowly grew until it lit up her whole face, eyes dancing with the brilliance of her plan. Then she giggled. Not a cutesy giggle, nor an embarassed giggle. Just pure glee.

"I also like fishing, though whenever I do fish the only thing I seem to catch are dog fish, and those fish I hate, you can't even eat them because they taste nasty, well so says my dad." He said looking up again in thought. He wanted to see his home again for a bit, to see the lake he and his family lived on. I guess I'm a little home sick, just wanting to see the lake again, he thought closing his eyes for a bit.

His eyes opened when he heard Lex talk and then laugh about something. He turned his head to look at her. "Hmm, you seem to have something going through your head don't you?" He said wondering what she was laughing about.

Lex smiled at his sudden talk about the lake he used to live on. "You're homesick, aren't you?" she questioned, raising an eyebrow slightly.

"Hmm, you seem to have something going through your head don't you?"

She glanced up at him, and grinned, widening her eyes innocently. "Who me? Noo..Of course not. But..If the roof randomly changes color, claim that the alien monkeys have invaded. That way nobody get's blamed...Well..that is, other than those poor alien monkeys." She schooled her features into a completely dead pan look, testing herself to see how long she could hold it for.

Trephas shrugged. "Yeah, I guess I am. I feel like I've been away from home for years, even though I've only been gone for a couple weeks." He said staring at the ceiling.

He looked at Lex when she started talking about if something happens blame it on the monkeys, and he had to laugh at that, and his side slightly hurt from that but he still laughed. When he stopped laughing he was smiling, and his eyes shined with cheeriness. "Well the Alien Monkeys, will be at least doing a good thing." He said, staring once more up at the ceiling.
