"Yes. I am." she said seriously. She would have nodded, but it hurt too much. She lifted herself off the ground. It took a lot of focusing, but she'd have just enough reserve to get her down to the ground. Then chances were she'd pass out. She smiled a bit. "The headmaster's going to kill us..." somehow, she found it amusing. She closed her mouth then, floating herself down to the ground.

As soon as she touched down onto the ground, she managed to say one thing to Trephas. "I think I'm going to..." and then she collapsed. Or rather, passed out. She landed on the ground with a thump, completely unconcious, and just lay there. Her mind had, apparently decided that the only way she'd stop using it was if she passed out. So it made her.

As Lex collapsed he quickly floated to the ground and went to her side. His eyes looked at her face, then he lifted her up, one armed lifted her leg while the other was around her back. He then rushed to the school, almost in a run, but trying to be careful, and because of his own pain.

He reached the doors to the school and went in, then he went down halls, till he reached the hospital wing doors, and he went in. There was beds around with curtains. There were a couple students in here that had headaches that wouldn't go away, or anything else that was small.

He walked to a bed ignoring stares from other people, and he set Lex on a bed. He turned around. "Is there a nurse around, or a doctor?!" He said out loud.

TIME JUMP!! -fiizzzzzzzzzzzzzz-

They were admitted, Lex's head was tended to, and she was given something to sedate her for a bit. But, as always, her body shook it off faster than most would. Within 15 minutes after they gave it to her, she was awake.

Her eyes opened to a blurry world, and a small groan escaped her lips as the pain in her head hit her full on. She pulled herself into a slight sitting position, leaning against the wall behind her bed, surprised at all the bruises that were on her arms. Apparently more rocks hit her in her anger than she'd thought. Suddenly remembering that Trephas had been with her, she started to look around for him, but the movement proved too much for her head, and she gently placed a hand on the back of her head with a small "Ow.." Normally she didn't whine, but it hurt, and she found herself pouting a bit before she quickly corrected it.

Trephas was on a bed, sitting on it, even though they told him to rest. He didn't feel like resting. When he saw Lex was moving, he looked over at her. He stood up and walked over to her, and a smile came on his face.

"How are you?" Was the first thing he could think of saying to her. He hoped she was fine, since she had many bruises on her arms. His left hand was on his right side where he was hit. "You've been through a bit." He said, almost wishing she didn't see him being attacked by the dragon, but if she didn't he wouldn't have been at the school any longer.

Lex smiled at his concern. "I've been through worse, I promise. It just looks bad. I bruise easily." Her eyes drifted to where his hand rested on his side, and then she glanced up at him, eyes full of concern. "What about you. You look really sore. I'm more worried about you." she raised an eyebrow, since she couldn't cock her head to the side.

She reached out her hand taking his left hand and pulling it away from his side, to see if there was any badaging that would be a tell tale that he'd broken a rib or two. She hoped he hadn't.

He nodded. "If you say so." He said calmly, and he smiled slightly, but it was gone when she moved his hand away from his wound. There was a bandage around his side. "I just have a broken rib, and a scratch." He said. "It's not that bad, and I can deal with a little bit of pain, it could have been worse, since the dragon whammed it's tail at me, but, I'll live."

He looked at Lex, and again he slightly smiled. He turned his head as the door opened up, and a boy wearing all white with a white cape came in. The boy had black hair, slightly like Trephas, and he had the same boring gray eyes as Trephas.

Eben walked in, his hair shaggy as always, after not sleeping well at all. His eyes looked around the room, till he saw his cousin standing next to girl that was laying on a bed.

"Trephas!" He said in happiness, and he nearly ran to his cousin. "What you get into this time?!" He asked laughing slightly, but his eyes stayed the same.

"Eben!" Said Trephas turning to Eben. "You wouldn't believe it! I saw a dragon! I saw one before you!" He said smiling, and his eyes also didn't change.

Lex raised an eyebrow at the sudden appearance of another boy. He had the same eyes as Trephas. As her eyes flicked from Eben to Trephas and back, a grin slowly spread onto her face. "Let me guess. You're related." She continued to smile taking in the likeness, and differences of appearance with a practiced eye. With the sudden realization that she was still holding Trephas' hand away from his wound, she released it, using the excuse of tucking her now very loose hair behind her ear, and removing the hair elastics from it.

As she slowly recovered from being unconcious, her hair began to be 'blown' again, her mind regaining it's strength.

Eben glared at his cousin for seeing a dragon before him, but he then just smiled. When Lex spoke his eyes strayed to her, and he saw that she was holding Trephas's had, but she quickly removed it.

"Yes, me and Trephas are related. Were cousin's." Eben said removing his eyes from Lex, and he looked at the floor, trying to block his powers from working, but instead of seeing the girl's past he saw his mother's past and when the people killed her. His face paled and his eyes dimmed but no fear showed.

"Yes, Lex this is my cousin, Eben Bane, and Eben this is Lex." He said, looking over at Lex when she released his hand but when Eben went pale, he put his hand on his cousin's shoulder and shook him. "Eben!" He nearly shouted at his cousin, and Eben just looked up at his cousin, his face still pale, and this time there was fear in Eben's eyes.

Eben took a step back, his own fear getting to him. Mother... he thought to himself, and the fear left his eyes. "I'll be fine." He mumbled. He looked at Lex. "It's nice to meet you, Lex." He said and held up his hand to her, as it was always polite to shake hands. "Looks like you both had fun with the dragon." He said smiling a bit.

"Just so you know, Eben's powers are..."

"Are unstable." Eben cut in before Trephas could say anything about what his powers were.

Lex blinked at the sudden change in Eben. It was fast. Pale and then making jokes about their interaction with the dragon. Ah well, he was probably just about as close to normal as she was.. and that was about half a continent away. When Eben offered his hand, she shook it, "Nice to meet you too Eben, and yeah, we had oodles of fun. It was one great big party." she smiled at Eben, the turned her gaze to Trephas as he spoke.

"Just so you know, Eben's powers are..."

"Are unstable."

Lex could tell by Eben's cover up that whatever his gift was, it usually freaked people out. She'd done similar coverups several times in her life. She knew what one looked like when she saw one. But she didn't say anything. He wanted to hide stuff, who was she to stop him. So, she just pretended not to notice the cover up. And played stupid, to coin a phrase. "That's too bad. It's hard when that happens." she said with unfeigned sympathy. She knew the feeling. Her anger or depression, etc. got out of control, her powers got out of control.

"I would have loved to see a dragon. There would be nothing I would want more." Eben said, smiling, while ignoring what he had seen in his head not long ago. "I've not seen anything a cool as a dragon yet, except a library, full of wonderful books. I spend all my free time there, but I would rather see a dragon."

"I guess I should have offered you to go up to the mountains with me then." Trephas said, looking at Eben. He backed up a bit then sat down on the bed that he was sitting on earlier, with the movement he winced in pain, but he tried to ignore it, and he looked at Lex, for a bit before his gaze looked up at his cousin.

"Well I"m gonna want to know everything about it, but maybe now isn't the best time, seeing that both of you are hurt from the dragon, but, there is one thing I must know. Why did the dragon decide to kill you?" He asked curious.
