"Miss Konishi Shimamura-Miller." She corrected. "I'm new here. That's probably why." She said with a smile.

Of course he wouldn't recognise her from any of his classes yet. Or counselling. She would never need to talk to someone to sort out petty issues, and she certainly wouldn't talk to him for that.

What Nakata probably knew of was that in a group class earlier in the day, Konishi did not work well with other students when it was a close group. In a short defensive spar, she terrorised a girl to tears by simply holding her at lance-nail point.

Of course, she didn't mean to. The other student knew what she was getting into. She was just too slow to try and put up a defence. She feigned surprise and said it was a mistake, but the recount of the other student clearly stated that Konishi seemed ready to kill.

"What brings you here? I'm rather surprised you came here at all; you're still teaching. I didn't think you wanted to chat when you haven't even dismissed your students yet." Konishi said with a slight frown, her wide red eyes showing signs of being concerned.

She did not mind casualness and an easy-going nature, but she disliked an unprofessional attitude from her superiors.

Despite the dojo atmosphere of the Power Class room, Jacob was not expecting students to deviate from the norm of just looking like students out to practice their powers. So when a group of students and a young man that he recognized as a teacher--even though he could have easily passed for a student--entered the gym in full ninja-samurai attire, Jacob and more than a few other students took immediate notice. They were quiet and reserved in their entrance, not unlike any other class to come in. But the all matching black battle gear and all the weapons made them look like they had jumped off the pages of one of those thick comic books Jacob had seen in the book shops around town. At least their weapons seemed appropriate for practice and not cleaving through, say, demons or mecha.

A lot of the students turned their eyes to look at the group, talking amongst themselves in varying tones of admiration, suspicion, and derision. Of course their instructors immediately got the students back in line and back into their lessons. Jacob was momentarily distracted from his ponderings and observed the ninja squad with curiosity. He was still getting used to the idea of students walking around with, much less possessing in general, so many martial weapons.

"Hello, Ishikawa. A pleasure to finally talk to you in person."

Jacob had yet to speak with all the other teachers one on one, and Ishikawa was one of those. He knew him in passing but little else. Speaking of which, he was glad that Konishi introduced herself. At least now he had a name for her.

"I'm also curious as to your presence here. Gonna give the ninja squad over there some sparring training or something?"

He listened to both of them speak as he glanced back at the students.
"Actually, Miss Shimamura-Miller, Mr. Cunningham, a pleasure to meet both of you those students and I here to train each other. I don't have any classes running at the moment so I've taken the time to train with some of my Cousin's proteges. Back when I was still a student here I created a curriculum for myself so that I could train properly since our combat program back then was lacking. With special permission I apply that curriculum to students who request it should their capabilities during regular power classes demonstrate they have a skill subset already in place." He explained, answering both of their questions pertaining to why he was in the gym... which left him to describe what brought him to these two today.

"As for why I'm here in front of you, I had forgotten that the gym was going to be used today. My 'ninja squad' over there could use some help prepping and I thought that a teacher not dressed in combat gear attending could perhaps keep this from reaching the head mistresses' ears. I'm already hearing enough grief from her about my actions as a student and the lake incident... I'm not sure what her thoughts would be about my using the gym for specialized martial training soooo... care to join us? Maybe Miss Shimamura-Miller could come too?" He added the last part about Konishi joining primarily because she was there, though he wasn't planning on using his current training curriculum, not here with people gleaning the secrets he had worked so hard to develop and research.
"Of course I'll be adjusting the manner of the training. It'll be fun." He said with his usual characteristic smile, or it was usual now at least.

"Okay Mr. Ishikawa," Konishi said, ultimately reaching a decision. "Let's do an exchange. I'll join in on this... Specialized martial training, and keep whatever actions you want away from the Headmistress' knowledge, as long as you let me off having a 'talk' about the little accident earlier this morning." One of the other power teachers probably made a reference known earlier in the day about dealing with a traumatised student.

All Konishi needed to say was that it was an accident and she didn't mean it, which was easy enough. Though it was the thought of having some authority figure interrogate her about 'what really happened' annoyed her to no end. Besides, Civilization and its Discontents, while interesting in some parts, made for some pretty dry and dull reading when you were at it for the last thirty minutes.

"I think that sounds fair, don't you? I don't have any training in martial arts at all. I only know a little about sports massage. That's about it for my involvement in physical education." She smiled a little self-mockingly.

Due to a severe injury her mother sustained as a teenager, she never achieved her original dream of becoming a pilot or a professional diver as her physical activity became highly restricted afterwards. Instead of focusing on extreme physical activity that she used to pursue, Emi studied sports medicine and massage, which sometimes she gave pointers to her daughter to. She treated it like an art, and her technique couldn't really be replicated. Watching her work was almost like watching her practice flower-arranging.

"I'll give it a try, anyway." Konishi said.

Jacob smirked teasingly at Ishikawa's request.

"Tryin' to do a little under-radar-teaching? I suppose I can get behind that. And miss Konishi?"

Ishikawa's request only sounded slightly shady. Less "subterfuge and sabotage" and more "just trying to avoid a mountain of paperwork and reprimands". He was being open about his intentions, which was certainly a boon, and Jacob had to admire his initiative to pass down some of his own lessons to those younger than him. Though he imagined that the three ninjas he was teachings were that much younger him. Ishikawa was still a young man himself in Jacob's eyes.

Konishi's request, however, came off a little less pleasingly. She was trying to skirt away from some actions of her own, and her inflection made it sound just the tiniest bit sinister. Jacob wanted to pause for a moment and ask her about it, but he had no idea what she was talking about and he assumed it was in the jurisdiction of the Powers teachers. But he made a mental note to ask the other instructors about whatever accident she was referring to after Ishikawa's lesson.

"Yeah. I don't have any training myself either. So don't beat on me too hard."

Jacob stood up from the bench and began unbuttoning his vest.

"But then maybe miss Konishi could ply her trade on my bruises. Heh."

He slipped off his rather expensive-looking silk vest and folded it neatly onto the bench where he had been sitting. Apparently it was the one piece of clothing he wasn't willing to risk in a sparring match. Other than that, he just rolled up his sleeves in preparation for some action.

"So what will you have of us, Ishikawa?"

Naka knew when he was being handled, but in this case he didn't care. Regardless of her plan or what trouble she was already in it was easier to get her out of it than to deal with whatever she would have said otherwise. It was much easier to look legit if there was a student participating that wasn't part of silverhart.... though Katsuo was a civilian and that was harder to explain.

He listened to her attempt at making a deal, and to Mr. Cunningham in completion before responding.
"Miss Shimamura-Miller, I'll be happy to get you out of trouble, thank you for being straight forward and telling me about it. As it stands you're welcome to join, but you will probably want to wear something other than that which I can provide for you if you would like. He said before turning to see Jacob taking his vest off. They were both fairly unprepared and understandably so.
"Mr. Cunningham, perhaps you would like to wear something else as well? The fact that neither of you have training shouldn't be a problem. If you want to learn it's good to start with this so I can see where you stand. Everyone is born with, and learns some innate brawling as they grow up. I'm sure you'll both catch on quickly. As far as under the radar teaching goes, this is more like under the radar school room use." He said with a smile.

He concentrated briefly on clothing for them, envisioning two stars and using the sphere of mind to read what they might want to wear for this. He invoked the spheres of mind and correspondence for that, channeling the image into creation for which he combined the spheres of matter, prime, spirit (to summon the spirits of the weaving creatures he invoked), and Jushin to put it all together.
"Kumo, shirukuwāmu, shokki,
karāburakku, minamikaze,
ori ya no supin, nenrei no nuno, watashi wa anata o shōkan."

[spider, silk worm, loom,
the color black, south wind,
weave and spin, cloth of ages, i summon thee]
He chanted as two sets of clothing began to spin into existence.

What spun for Konishi was essentially an Aikido uniform with straw sandals. A dark crimson Judo style top and black Hakama were woven and folded themselves. As for Jacob he was surprised as a navy blue command sambo shirt wove itself while black savate pants materialized for him.
"Well based on these you two would do better with very different types of training, but I think we can accommodate. Mr. Cunningham I think yours turned out rather interestingly. Russia and France both have very good martial arts backgrounds." He observed.

Konishi watched Mr. Cunningham remove his silk vest. She looked down at her own ensemble and examined the lace and detail on it. Compared to Mr.Cunningham's silk vest, she'd have to remove everything right down to her stockings. The corset would be most difficult to move around in, but Konishi did take out the trash while she was wearing her everyday clothing.

She saw the Aikido uniform materialise. The colours were to her liking and the fabric felt very fine to the touch. There was even a nice elastic hair tie for her included, so her hair wouldn't get in the way of training.

"Thank you Mr. Ishikawa. I suppose it's time to get changed. I might be a while," Konishi said.

"Apologies, I don't really have a change of clothes on me..."

For a moment, Jacob thought they were at some kind of impasse in regards to proper practice attire. He would have loved to not get his good clothes too messed-up but, unfortunately, Jacob had no foreseen the chance to actually participate in the Power Class training and did not bring any clothes accordingly. What was fortunate, though, was that clothing conjuring was a part of Ishikawa's power repertoire apparently. That was a strange and unusual power that Jacob had not anticipated in the slightest.

Unlike Konishi, he was a little hesitant to take hold of his magic-ed up clothes. He thought he might have been imagining things for a second, or that Ishikawa was pulling some kind of joke. But nope, when he reached out to grab the clothes, they were as real as ever.

"Um... Okay. That's pretty cool. That's some power you got there, Ishikawa. I'll come to you next time I got a formal engagement and need a tux."

Curious, Jacob decided to try the shirt on really quick. The button on his collared shirt came off with practiced hands and he set that on the bench with his vest. The sambo shirt was slipped on a moment later, but not before there was some hushed gossip from some of the female students that had caught Mr. Cunningham with his shirt off.

"Wow. This is the real deal. Nicely fitted too. Alright. Be right back to get these on."

It only took a moment after Jacob found a changing area for him to switch over from his dress pants and shoes to the savate pants, and he was back, barefoot and ready to spar.

"Seriously, Ishikawa, this stuff feels great. I know that you're planning some combat training with us, but right now I'm smitten with this whole 'make clothing out of thin air' thing you got. It sounds kinda dumb when you say it outloud, but hey! Free clothes!"

Nakata only nodded at Konishi at first, but acknowledged that it might be more awkward to switch clothing in front of everyone than it had been for Mr. Cunningham. He had also considered correcting them on the lack of honorifics they were using, but decided against it and chalked it up to just simple age discrimination.
"Take your time." He said while looking at Konishi.
As to Mr. Cunningham, he couldn't decide whether he was being mocked or not. In the end it didn't matter any more than the lack of honorifics. Tempers had no place during training.
"My power has many different facets. I would offer to supervise weapons training, but I'm thinking that since you two have no previous experience we'll simply start with basic hand to hand. I think a little bit of sparring might loosen everyone up a bit." He said, finally deciding on taking Jacob's words as praise rather than criticism.
"Which reminds me, what is your power exactly? Surely something brings you here to the island."

As he thought about it though, he wondered whether it would be a power he would want to talk about. Back when he was a teenager, when he had first arrived and his only power had been high speed regeneration, back when he didn't speak english very well at all, and when he still hadn't made any friends because of he was still traumatized, back when he had gotten into a fist fight on the beach, he hadn't told anyone that he had any power at all. That thought led him to retract his statement.
"Don't feel obligated to answer that. It was merely curiosity and I apologize for its abruptness."

"I wouldn't want to trouble you if I bought some designs I wanted to make, Mr. Ishikawa. Your abilities are incredible, however." She smiled, her eloquent and refined compliment rather different from Mr. Cunningham's laidback enthusiasm. "<Excuse me,>" she said with a touch of playfulness in Japanese, bowing quickly and heading into the female change rooms.

Konishi removed the corset, unzipped the dress and peeled off her stockings systematically. Putting on the Aikido uniform was simple enough, and it was made right perfectly, right down to her size. She put on the sandals and thought that she looked rather silly like this. Now she could join the ninja squad that she witnessed earlier. She now seemed very Japanese. She remembered Ishikawa's incantation as she stared at her appearance in the mirror, and decided to tie her hair up in a ponytail. She carefully folded her lolita clothes and put them in the empty locker and headed outside.

She interrupted the conversation briefly about Jacob's powers with clearing her throat lightly. If there was anything she disliked it was being ignored. What she despised more was being ignored for her age and gender.

"Mr. Cunningham and I were just discussing that before you came," Konishi said. "But I do agree that something about him enabled him to come onto the island."
