Once Upon A Tree

A moment of confusion washed over Honua; the woman wanted to spar and yet she would not fight. However, the confusion was replaced my surprise as a faceless man was formed out of what was the two swords. "Huh," was the only word that escaped her mouth.

The man rushed forwards, one of his spikes was raised and thrusted down towards her chest before she was even ready. Before it struck, Honua shifted to the side, blocked with one arm and brought the other round to the other side of the man's spike arm, pushing in opposite directions. Usually, this would break a person's arm, though she supposed this figure had no bones to break.

While she was distracted by the lack of an effect her defense had, the figure struck her leg with it's other arm, causing her to become unbalanced and stumbled to the side. She looked down at the tear in her leggings and the scrape across her metallic leg. Steadying herself, she raised her hands, blew the hair out of her face and replied "I won't make any promises." Honua found Elisa more cowardly than she first thought, letting some insentient being fight for you.

Honua's gaze didn't leave the figure, even as it did its little dance. She didn't say a word as Elisa talked, just stood, ready for another attack. It was becoming a weird and disadvantageous sparring session. She needed a better way to fight back. The figure morphed into the form of a dog, a form that, to Honua, seemed less threatening. A human had two arms to attack with, a dog had only it's jaws.

Still, Honua said nothing. It made no difference where she was attacked; she was solid titanium throughout her entire body. The dog charged for her and clamped down on her leg. Barely a second later, Honua used her other leg to kick the dog in the head as hard as she could. A kick like that from a being of flesh would have hurt but it would cause a lot more damage being hit at that force by metal.

Free from the canine's jaws, Honua dashed to a nearby tree where she crunched off a thin but strong branch. She used bo staffs when training and was quite skilled with them. It was more or less the same thing. After a quick spin of the stick to get an idea of the balance, Honua stood ready, holding the stick in her right hand and pointing it downwards, the stick against her arm and traveling up to neck height.

Honua shrugged, "Sure." To be perfectly honest, she didn't really understand what was going on. Trying to understand Elisa's powers made her head hurt slightly. Though, when she became a material, she didn't really feel pain, more like a faint stinging sensation.

As the man charged, Honua raised her arm to block his with a clang. Her other hand wacked the arm with the knife using her staff, narrowly missing her and singeing her clothes. Suddenly, the faceless one was thrown backwards. That wasn't her. Usually she was pretty good at figuring out people's fighting strategies and habits, but this vampire had her a bit confused. It seemed like she wanted to try and hurt her but recalled her minion before any damage happened. And she didn't fight her herself, leaving it to a mindless human figure.
