AI had been surprised when her friend Wei jad invited her over for a sleepover. She had been more surprised that her other friend La'hi wanted to come too even if she didn't know Wei personally. Though pretty much everyone in school knew of the Monkey boy. So Ai had only shrugged and said sure when her friend had asked to come to.

Ai had her things together in a back pack as they finished walking up the stairs to the third story, which held Wei's rooms. It struck her partway down the hall that she hadn't informed Wei that La'hi was tagging along. "Shoot, Yún, i forgot to let him know you were coming too..."

Not knowing what to do she looked from La'hi to the door only a couple get away. "Oh, I hope he likes unexpected guests." and with that Ai Shēngxiào walked up confidently to the door and knocked on the door... Only to blush as she thought of your embarrassing this was going to be.

Wei finished sweeping the last of his stuff into the garbage, creating a nice clean space on the floor for his guest. It had been a long while since he and Ai had hung out like this, and he thought it would be a great opportunity to catch up with her, talk... as another small person with animal features, he figured it made the most sense for them to... 'stick together' as it were.

He gave his room one last look over. It was a nice white wall adorned with corkboards and fans of varying sizes, small statuettes and things that filled him with nostalgia. It was a room that looked kind of overdone and tacky, like something no one who had actually been to China would actually want their room to look like, let alone someone who had lived there all their life.

But Wei liked his room to be this way because it was so tacky. He couldn't look at a wall without seeing the iconic places that he's never seen in his home country, like seeing a place you've never been yet having nostalgia for it anyway.

Nostalgia for memories he didn't have.

Hands on his hips, he made sure the snacks were all out before wiping his hands off on his shirt and hearing the door.

"Oh, one sec!"

He straightened a cork board and opened the door wide. "Hiya Ai! It's been so long since I last... I..." His eyes trailed to the person that was accompanying his friend. "....who's that?"

"Jie'Lo Uvhe'Iej! I was La'Hi, er, Yún. Er, meaning call me Yún. Uh..." She trailed off awkwardly, and furrowed her brow in concentration. "Sorry. my english wasn't greatest, uh, the greatest."

Ugh, this was perfect. Trying to talk to Ai's friend for the first time, and she was of course making a total mess of herself. Stupid english and its stupid tenses and its bloody bloody stupid filler words. Why the hell did they need to see "the" every five words? What was the point?

Oh well, if he was anything like Ai, he'd understand. She leaned into the room, and yes! It had a similar aesthetic to it. She quite liked the chinese look, especially since it meant its owner probably didn't speak english as his first language, and would understand the horrors of trying to speak it.

"hey Wei, sorry..." Ai still blushing motioned to La'hi. "What she's trying to say is that her name is La'hi. But I've taken to calling her Yún. She's essentially a magical cloud from another universe..." She sighed a little "or at least that's how I've been understanding the situation."

Looking at Wei now she blushed a little harder in embaressment as she tried to come up with what to say next. "Well, I talked to Yún, she my roommate, and told her I was coming over here for a sleepover and well, she wanted to come too. And... I can't find ways to tell her no..."

She ran a hand through her blond curly hair. "I hope that isn't a problem... Is it?"

Wei looked between Ai and her roommate as the small sheep girl talked, taking in her curly hair and size, about on par with his and Ai's a short person. And that was really all he needed to hear--as long as she was short, he was willing to give her the benefit of the doubt. Of course, all the stuff about clouds from other dimensions served to only make him kind of confused. he shrugged a little and nodded. "Right... well, I don't have a problem with it. the more the merrier."

He flashes a smile at La'hi, a mouth full of sharp simian teeth that look too big to fit in his mouth, moving out of the doorway to let them both in. "I have plenty of snacks. My name is Wei, by the by. Wei Hu Sun." He offers his hand to the girl, giving a little bow. "I was thinking we could watch a scary movie, what do you you think?"

La'Hi looked skeptical. She had been liking the boy, but now...? Hearing that he got scared by movies?

"Su-ure..." She agreed, and shook his hand. "A movie sound great."

He had said scary movie though. Were they movies purely designed to scare? Now that she thought about it, it did kind of sound something like the humans could do. They made fairy floss after all, any race ingenious enough to create that mana from heaven was pretty damn genius in her books.

"Yes. I definitely would. Zu'Vu." She repeated, more assertively this time.

Ai's heart began to pound and her face blood revesed directions, she paled...she really needed to learn to control her emotions better. "Th...that's f...ff...fine wi...with mm... Mme." She gave a smile that was lack luster and her hands gripped the straps of her back pack tighter.

There was in in Flux of energy and a wisp of golden light puffed from Ai's mouth as she let out a breath. She tapped into her brother's, Boar, power to stamp down on her fear.... It's just a movie.... It's just a movie...

Taking the first couple of steps inside she saw all the stuuf there. It seemed lived in and there was some tension released as she was able to focus on something else, then she heard La'hi say something different. "zoo'zoo? That ones new...did I say it right?" she put down her back pack before turning to La'hi again.

Wei nodded and closed the door once both of the girls we inside of his dorm. He noticed that Ai looked kind of uncomfortable, but that was kind of the point of scary movies. He couldn't really think of anyone who watched a scary movie out of pure enjoyment, that wasn't really what they were for. They were for squealing and getting scared and forming friendships around being scared of the same thing.

"Zoo-View?" Wei said, attempting to copy what La'Hi had said. It definitely didn't sound like something that he recognized at all. "I've never heard that before. English isn't your first language either, huh?"

He walked over to the nearest table and brought a plate of cookies, setting them on a small try he'd set up on the floor. "I've got tea and water, make yourselves at home."

"Zoo-*tut*-voo.[i/]" La'Hi repeated, drinking in the attention. "It meant... Um. Lots of good thing? It's sort of like... Thanking someone."

She wasn't surprised when Wei implied English wasn't his first language. Unless the 'either' was directed at Ai... She was still pretty sure she was right though. Wei just gave of that vibe.

She flitted into the room with Ai, explaining her way of talking as she went.

"Is named La'Hi, which would be mean word or language. We combine La'Hi, like La, and Ro, together with clicks and laws to make Zu'Hi, like Ozzu'Ro and Zu'Vu. Um, I don't know English for Zu'Hi, sorry."

AI took off her backpack and put it on the ground before sitting down. She looked to Wei before he could ask about the coincidence that Yún's name was the same as the language. "Her name is also the name of the language. Just so you don't get confused. I know I was when I was first told about it."

Turning back La'hi then. "do the individual Zu and Hi mean anything? We might be able to approvimate what it would be." She then remembered that she still had her shoes on and she blushed a little turning real quick to Wei to ask another question "Would it be ok to take off my shoes?"
