Nova Castor

Candy Maker - The power to make candy out of nothing. The only limit to what kinds of candy she can make is her imagination. She can make anything that weighs up to five pounds at a time. Making candy drains her energy, but how much is drained depends on how much she’s making and how much it weighs in total.

Kemonomimi Physiology - She has cat ears, a tail, fangs, retractable claws, and retractable whiskers (function like cats', very uncomfortable to retract until they force themselves back out after a few days).

Enhanced senses - She can hear three to four times farther than a human, and her hearing can go up to an ultrasonic frequency. Her sense of smell is around ten times as strong as a human's, allowing her to pick up on things like food or a potential mate. She can see incredibly well in low-light conditions and in the night, but her vision is normal otherwise.

Agile - Nova has fantastic reflexes, agility, and is faster than the average human. Her tail helps her balance better. She has a righting reflex that allows her to land on her hands and/or feet when falling, but it's not as good as a cat's and isn't a 100% guarantee.

Kitty Athletic - As a kemonomimi, Nova's legs are naturally stronger. They allow her to vertically jump up to twice her height and long-jump around twenty feet without training.

Sensitive tail - Like a cat, her tail is attached to her spine and is very sensitive. She feels the most pain through her tail, and as such feels a natural need to protect this vulnerable appendage.

CAT - Nova has a weakness for things like yarn and laser pointers; her cat instincts tell her to indulge in them ASAP. She also has an innate fear of snakes (and other oblong green things) that triggers her fight or flight to the max.

Born in a litter of three on Manta Carlos along with her sister Gemma. While Gemma was the liveliest of the bunch, Nova was a calm and quiet baby, and this continued throughout her childhood. She preferred to keep to herself and play with her toys or read her own books, declining to play any of her sister’s games unless it was hide and seek so that she could read while she hid. Her powers started showing when she was a toddler, summoning lollipops at midnight and sneaking toffees before supper.

Her introversion remained even as she made it into middle school, making only a few friends and managing to avoid (read: ignore) most of the bullying or teasing from being the sister of a bubbly popular girl.

Nova comes from a large, middle-class family. She lives in one of the multi-story houses that her family owns to accommodate their size. She gets a small allowance from her parents and, while not as spoiled as her sister, does occasionally receive dresses and toys from her extended family.
