Wednesday had spent the last hour after receiving the text from Sazz pacing around her room. She had already accepted the invitation to go mostly out of impulse, but then there came the question of what the hell she was supposed to do now. She'd never been to ball like this before, least of all with a guy. She had no idea what to say or what to wear or how to act and was already starting to panic.
Then she calmed down a bit and started to think things through. It was just a dance. Sure, it one of the biggest events of the year, in a setting that wasn't entirely familiar, with a guy, but it's not like she wasn't getting used to being around lots of people. It still made her anxious, but not the same way it had before.
It was progress. Small progress maybe, but progress all the same.
Still, there was still a decent lot of uncertainty for her, and to figure that out there was someone obvious to turn to. Tuesday had already taken her out for a big night before, and while a college party wasn't quite the same thing, Tuesday would probably still be able to help here as she had back then, right?
Plus, with the rather grim subject of the Death of Magic and all that uncertainty surrounding both the coven and the island itself, hanging out with her big sister witch for a more mundane reason might be nice.
So, after a quick exchange with Tuesday over text explaining the situation, Wednesday hurried over to her apartment. The trip there made her a tiny bit nervous, this was a part town that she didn't normally visit, and it seemed a little seedier than others. But with Frodo along with her she figured she had nothing to worry about.
Eventually, she was standing in front of her door. She knocked a few times before crossing her arms, anxiously tapping her finger as she waited.
