It was a Friday night and despite the snow people were out and about. Or at least the people who had places to go were out and about. And Tuesday definitely had a place she wanted to be that night. One of her classmates was doing a gig at a house party and she was dressed for the occasion. Sure it was a little chilly out but surely things would heat up once she was dancing.

The only thing out of the ordinary that evening though was she wasn't going with her usual group of friends. Wednesday struck her as the type of girl to stay hidden away in her dorm room on a Friday night reading or something. So, she was doing her a favor that night. One witch to another. "Come on Wednesday, it'll be fun. I promise. Just come with me for a couple hours and then you can go back to... wait what were you even doing here?" She asked as she stood there with the other girl.

Tuesday and Wednesday weren't like best friends or anything, but being in a coven meant you were supposed to stick together. Besides, the other girl probably wouldn't be too bad once she loosened up a little bit and had some fun. At least that's what Tuesday told herself.

Wednesday was clearly not enthusiastic about tonight's plans.

Had Tuesday not came to collect her, she would have been content to spend the night in her room, studying the materials from her classes. She'd spent her whole life studying magic, but the Academy actually managed to challenge her, let her discover new things. When she had arrived she didn't think the school would manage to stimulate her interests.

Her interest wasn't just academic, however. Wednesday wanted her curse broken, and even if the materials were boring she'd pour over them all day if it meant getting closer to that goal.

But, even she knew that studying all day and all night would get her nowhere. She needed a break every now and then, which was why she had allowed Tuesday to talk her into going out. A party, however, was not her idea of leisure time. She felt distinctly unprepared.

"Studying for this magic theory test that's coming up. I would have thought you'd have something similar to prepare for." She said, tersely, frowning. Wednesday had bundled up for warmth, wearing a long black coat over a small black dress. She didn't wear it very often, but it was the only thing she owned that was vaguely 'party attire'. She crossed her arms, rubbing them anxiously as she sighed.

"This is a stupid idea." She mumbled. "What if I do something stupid while I'm there? I dunno how to dance, or talk to people or...whatever else people do at these things? I don't even know if I'm dressed well enough. Maybe I should just go back..."

Tuesday did of course have things should could have been studying. Or research she could have been doing for more rituals. Obscure ideas for how to go about breaking some of the multiple curses on her family or their coven in general. But that didn't mean she couldn't have a little fun.

Tuesday laughed at Wednesday's grumbling. "You have plenty of time to study. I'll even help you if I have to, but you need some fun too. Besides, that's a cute dress and it's a waste to just keep it hidden in your closet," she finished with a compliment. Tuesday might have offered for her to wear something of hers but... well she figured that might be stretching things too far. Baby steps.

She sighed and put her right arm around Wednesday's shoulders as the girl started psyching herself out. "Please, half the people there will be doing stupid stuff. Most of them won't even remember, or care, if you seem a little awkward. Just follow my lead and you'll be fine," she comforted as they neared the house in question. Really though, mansion would have been a better word for the huge building.

There was a fairly steady flow of people arriving and though it was technically a college party, she spied a group of guys who looked a hell of a lot like high school seniors trying to pretend they were college students walking the same direction the two of them were. Trying real hard to look older but... well usually the college guys weren't looking around like they were going to get caught.

The guys did notice the two girls though and sort of stared at them, trying to look like they weren't but not being nearly as slick as they thought they were. Tuesday turned her head and brushed some of her hair to the side casually. Giving them a little wave before looking back ahead. "See, you've already got a few fans and we aren't even inside yet," she whispered to Wednesday and grinned.

Wednesday seemed to shrink into herself a little as Tuesday wrapped an arm around her, her face turning just a slightly deeper shade of green at the compliment.

"W-well, if you say so." She mumbled quietly. "I'll try not to drag things down too much, then."

She came to a stop once they reached the front of the house, sparing the exterior a cursory glance. The outside didn't phase her too much, her family had an old estate that was similarly impressive that she used to live in. What did phase her was the sounds, both of the crowd milling around outside and the music from within. There were a lot of people around. She didn't leave home often before she came to the island. She'd been here long enough to where she was starting to get used to the crowds, but it was still a lot of people clustered in one place.

She followed Tuesdays eyes when she pointed out the boys, and blushed a little more.

"Yeah, I'm sure that's what it is."

She sighed. Wednesday knew that she was far from the most unusual person on the island, but her green skin still made her stand out. She figured it was a lot more likely they were staring at how weird she looked, rather than for any other reason.

Ok, so maybe the friendly arm around the shoulders thing wasn't the best of plans. Tuesday sighed internally. Come on girl, you'll be fine if you stop telling yourself how bad everything is going to be and just live in the moment a little. But there was only so much coaching she could do before they actually made it to the party.

Tuesday noted the hesitation at the number of people around but she was determined to get this girl to have some fun. Or at least try as hard as she damn well could.

"Trust me, I know that kind of look coming from guys," she said as she urged Wednesday further towards the door. Ok, so it was sort of a lie- she wasn't sure they were looking at Wednesday quite like that but she didn't need to know that. Those guys could wait until later... or until never, for all she cared. There were plenty of others inside if they didn't want to approach Wednesday yet.

"Let's head inside and get you something to drink," she said quietly as they approached the doors. what kind of drink she hadn't specified. There was no one there checking who was coming or going. Just a full-on house party that had hired a decent DJ apparently, from the sounds of it. Tuesday's friend... well, acquaintance, seemed to be doing a good job putting on a show

Tuesday smiled at the people they passed, waving at a few and winking at a couple of them who were clearly checking either her or Wednesday out. Or both, honestly. Hard to tell for sure. Inside the house it was loud, with lights going and everything and people all around in various states of drinking or dancing. A few couples clearly more absorbed in each other than the party itself.

Wednesday simply nodded along, letting Tuesday lead her inside the house, still looking stiff and tense all the while.

This was ridiculous, she thought to herself. She was a proud member of an ancient and prestigious witch clan. She was a powerful and knowledgeable witch. Hell, she performed dangerous feats of magic on a regular basis, confident in the ability to handle any of the risks it might cause. And yet here she was, feeling all scared about something as mundane as a college party.

Ridiculous, utterly ridiculous.

Mentally berating herself, she decided that for now, it would be best to just do as Tuesday said, and follow the older girls lead. She walked through the door along with her, occasionally flashing a nervous smile at some of the people checking them out. At least, she assumed they were most likely checking out Tuesday, she was the more obviously pretty one. Wednesday still wasn't sure what to make of the occasional look people were giving her.

Once they were inside the party proper, Wednesday could already start to feel herself getting overwhelmed. There were...a lot of people, a lot of movement that she couldn't keep track of even if she tried, and the flashing lights and music barraging her senses did little to make it easier on her. She started to pull her jacket off, the dancing crowd made things warm enough for her.

"It's really loud!" She called out over the music. "Um...Where do we start?"

Tuesday was half afraid if she left Wednesday for just a moment she'd end up fleeing all the way back to her dorm, never to come out again. The girl was so unbelievably stiff and uncomfortable it was hard to believe she was a witch. But Tuesday knew she was, a fairly powerful one at that.

Tuesday shed her jacket once inside too, but she was careful to hold on to it rather than set it down anywhere. "I know! Isn't it great?" She replied back, raising her voice so she would be heard. "First we get something to drink and then go stop by the DJ." Whether or not Wednesday was going to drink, Tuesday wanted one for herself. It would loosen the other girl up some if she could get her to try it but she didn't have high hopes. The DJ though should let them keep their coats behind his table so they would be safe.

She looked around for where the cups seemed to be coming from, tracking them towards what ended up being the kitchen. Various kegs and bottles lay inside along with snacks. Funnily enough someone had apparently decided to poke fun at the usual red solo cups and brought a massive stack of green cups. Whoa, so edgy, Tuesday snickered to herself.

Tuesday immediately went to fill a cup from one of the kegs and turned to look at Wedneday. "Should I get you one too? Promise I won't get you too wasted. It'll help you relax a little though," she beckoned Wednesday over to her. She really wasn't interested in seeing Wednesday get hurt- she was in her coven after all. Just a little nudge in the direction of having some fun.

Wednesday followed after her, looking over Tuesday's shoulder as she filled her cup. Alcohol, ok, that was also new, but not totally unfamiliar. She hadn't really been that curious to try alcohol before, so she'd kept away from the stuff unless she needed it for a ritual. Tuesday didn't seem to be making a big deal out of it though, treating it like it was normal even though she was underage. She considered it for a moment.

"...Alright, I'll try some."

She stepped past, grabbing a cup for herself and filling it up from one of the same kegs. She sniffed it for a moment, frowning, before tasting it herself.

"Eugh." She flinched a little, face screwing up. "This is gross. You sure it'll help?"

Tuesday smiled and watched as the girl filled her own cup. Good, at least she had given it a try without too much prodding. The face she made was hilarious though and Tuesday had a good laugh. "It's an acquired taste but really, it's more for the effect it'll have. It will help, i'm sure," she promised as she took a sip from her own cup. Damn, they were serving some pretty cheap stuff there for such a nice big house. Stepping back over to Wedneday she made sure her voice was a little more serious as she added, "Just, if you set it down somewhere consider it gone and lost to you. once it's out of your sight you shouldn't drink from it any more."

No way was she letting the other witch get into serious danger if she could help it. Fun, arguably poor decisions, and maybe some interactions with cute guys, but nothing that would seriously hurt her.

"Come, you can take a few more sips while we go visit my friend and drop these coats," she gestured with her right arm for Wednesday to come with her. Her left hand was full with the cup. As they walked Tuesday led the way, casually brushing up against a few people and nudging their way through others before finally they reached the backside of the table where the DJ was sitting. It was pretty loud, but there was indeed space behind the table to store a few things.

The current song ended and the DJ stepped down after setting the machine to run through a few songs while he took a break. "Hey V, mind sparing a little space for our jackets?" She asked as see stepped forward to put an arm around him and kiss him on the cheek. He smiled as he looked at her and then looked at Wednesday before nodding. "Sure, I think I can do that small favor for you. Least I can do for the blood you gave me." Bleedr, it turned out, was a pretty good way to meet some interesting people.

Tuesday beckoned Wednesday over to say hi.

"If you say so." She nodded. Wednesday didn't really need an explanation of why she should keep an eye on what she was drinking. Every member of their coven needed to be careful and Wednesday was obviously no exception. She was gonna make sure she avoided doing anything with possible risks if she could.

Wednesday followed along, working her way through the crowd, occasionally getting bumped and jostled around by all the other dancing partygoers. She held her cup close to her chest, taking another sip every now and again, making the same face every time. How did people drink this stuff? Whatever being drunk was like better be worth the taste.

She mostly stayed behind Tuesday, until she stood up and got all cozy with her DJ friend. So familiar. Wednesday still wasn't very close with any of the others in their coven. She was decently acquainted with them all, of course, but she didn't really know them. Even so, it was obvious Tuesday was a people person, comfortable with attention and full of confidence.

It was kinda admirable, it almost made Wednesday a little jealous.

"Uh, hi." She gave a small wave after Tuesday drew the DJ's attention to her, a small, polite smile on her face. "Hope you don't mind us leaving these with you."
