Kalix shrugged and leaned on the arm of the chair, chewing on the skin around an already too-short thumbnail. It was a habit of his when he didn't have anything to say and drifted off into the back of his head.

When she spoke he came back to reality and watched the event unfold. He nodded slightly, confirming his thoughts of her preferences matching what her power should be, though he had never really guessed at anything specific. "Impressive, yet again." He paused slightly before continuing, "Do you like it here?"

Enelya bit her lip as Kalix started chewing on his nail... An old habit of Kotah's as well... Though she kept silent. She ran her fingers through her hair, plucking out more grass when it was found, and finished up the orange.

Enelya grinned, after removing her melancholia for Kotah out of her mind temporarily... For he was always haunting her. Along with the thought of a terrible even intuition has put inside her mind. She tapped her finger once on her own armchair, making the flower retract back into the ground.

"Do I like it here...? Well... It's alright I suppose... Animals don't really seem to be around much for some odd reason... And it's wonderful outside... But I feel a little distant with this crowd, I'm afraid." She looked around at the other students... She had always felt a little alone in the human world. Whether they had powers or not... And despite her friendly nature. It all just didn't seem right without Kotah around.

Kalix could tell something was up, but he wasn't sure what, and what caused it. He shrugged mentally, figuring he had simply missed the moment.

He listened to what she had to say, and spoke after a small pause and what seemed like a long glance. "You look like you wouldn't fit in. I mean, not as an insult or anything, but you just... look different, I guess." He shrugged, "Social structures often elude me."

A small yawn broke through, aand he tried stifling it behind the back of a hand. "Sorry about that. Long day and finally glad to be off my feet." He glanced at her, remembering her story, "Not very interesting, but long."

"You look like you wouldn't fit in. I mean, not as an insult or anything, but you just... look different, I guess."

Enelya bursted out laughing and nodded. "I would presume that one with purple eyes and blue hair would be a little off, too!" She shook her head, and waved an hand. "I know what your talking about though." Her ideals and way of life was just so different than these introverted individuals at this school, that she wondered if they ever did anything for someone other than themselves. "Few seem to look outwards, only inwards."
She smiled, and yawned herself. She playfully glared at him. "You stop that, you're getting me started now!" She patted her mouth, and ended with a relaxing 'ahh..' Though she slouched a bit, as if falling asleep, but only to be comfortable. "So, how are you liking this place?"

Kalix shrugged. "It's alright, I guess. You're the first person I've really spoken to, and I havn't even finished signing up for stuff yet. I just kinda... wandered off. Heh." He shrugged again, "I'm terrible when it comes to standing in one place, I guess. My feet have a mind of their own." He lifted a foot to point at the Converse Chuck Tailor High Tops. "Sometimes I wonder if they have a mind of their own for real."

After a pause, he said, "So... You can grow plants just like that?" He snapped his fingers as he said, "that."

Enelya grinned, and nodded as he spoke. She stuck out her tongue playfully. "I'm sure it must be interesting having feet that would leave without you if they weren't attached!" She giggled, and wondered what it would be like, being at one spot on moment, and then finding yourself being taken away the next.

"So... You can grow plants just like that?"

Enelya nodded, and busied herself with finding some parsley for Archimedes to chew on. She found some celery in the meantime, and handed Archie the parly, and chewed a bit on the celery. "The trick is... is to feel their life essence, and pull it from the earth." She smiled a little, proud of her power. She loved being so intune with nature... It made the world seem like it 'worked.' She then raised an eyebrow, "What about you? What's your power?"

Kalix nodded in understanding. "Sounds... important, actually." He thought for a moment, "Being able to keep in touch with nature, all around you, ya know? Do you ever get overwelmed by the... vastness? The world's a big place..."

He shrugged, both at what he was saying, and to what he was about to say, "My power isn't really.. comparable to a lot of folks around here, but it's enough for me." He tapped the side of his head, "I can manipulate the part of my brain that controls how I perceive time. In other words, I can slow down or speed up situations. You wouldn't be able to tell if I was doing it or not, but..." He shrugged again. "It's fun to play with."

Enelya thought about that for a second. She never really thought about the 'vastness' of the world. She understood how big it was, but never really thought about it. Over the years she had almost come to the grasps of tuning out the many voices of nature... For it was not always positive voices. Enelya had learned that in the Forbidden a long time ago.

"Ummm... Overwhelmed? Not really. I suppose if I was expected to keep everything balanced, and such I would... But, well, I've just never really thought about that before. I just do what I can to help, I suppose." She bit her lip, a bit unsatisfied with her answer.

She smiled as Kalix explained his power. "Wow... That must be really cool, to be able to do that. Which do you do more, slow down, or speed up?"

Kalix thought for a second, but couldn't really find a nice way to say what he was going to next. "So... You just grow stuff and kill other stuff as you see fit without taking balance into mind?" He made an undecided face by pursing his lips and lifting a corner of his mouth, then dropping it again. "I don't mean to sound negitive or anything... And I'm not judging you at all. I just... I like putting things into perspective for people. If you grow a whole lot of plants quickly, it raises the bug population, which either makes a whole lot more pests, or more food for a growing fish, reptile, and amphibian population which would in turn make a whole lot more territory problems."

He stopped talking for a minute, partly to gather his thoughts, and partly to catch his breathe. He put his elbow back on the arm rest and started scratching his chin. "I'm not saying what you're doing is wrong. I'm mearly commenting that too much good in the world can be a bad thing." He shrugged. "And I'm not even asking you to take my advice to heart. Do with it what you will."

Enelya, playing with the fabric of her dress, simply smiled at Kalix. Another skeptic of her powers. Another who thought it was 'a good thing,' but 'possibly wrong'. "Did I say something about killing? If I did, forgive me, but I do my best to preserve life." Maybe the things she did was an imbalance to the world... But wasn't a school such as this impossible without imbalances? "Besides, nothing I grow is permanent. I grow what I need, and then it diminishes. The garden I was telling you about? I really did plant those seeds, and take care of them. Except I sped it up a bit, because I was in the mood for some fresh orange juice." She giggled, and pointed, "And a good home cooked meal."
