Kalix found himself wandering into the lounge and thought it'd be nice to take a seat and rest... till his eyes caught sight of a vending machine with drinks. Getting himself a can of Brisk, he walked over to a chair and sat down, taking a load off his feet for a little while, sipping his drink quietly. He glanced around the room to get a better look at the other students around him, slowing down his perceptors so it wouldn't seem like he was staring.

Enelya wandered into the Lounge, she'd been at the Lake, showing another student some different herbs, and giving her some ointment after helping her from a scrapped knee. The rocks there were slippery, and well, a clutsy thirteen year old and mossy rocks don't mix too well. Archimedes was perched on her shoulder, and she carried her bag full of different plants peaking over the top. Not to mention the twigs and blades of grass stuck in her hair at random places.

She hoped to find a nice couch and a pillow, and even possibly something interesting to read. Or even just to nap.

As he scanned the room, another individual showed up, but she seemed different. It probably had to do with the lizard on her shoulder and her lack of freaking out. Kalix always admired women who didn't act like... well, girls. He put his time perceptors back where they were suposed to be and nodded to her as she passed. He wasn't sure if he really should mention the reptile, incase she simply hadn't noticed it yet.

He cleared his throat and waved slightly, lifting only a couple fingers and tilting his wrist. Infact, it wasn't much of a wave at all. "Hello." He took another sip of his tea.

Enelya stopped, at the voice of a young man sitting near her. She grinned, and waved. Though, she almost blushed, for she probably looked like a wreck. Her hand then flew to her hair, plucking out some grass. She laughed a little at her appearance.

"Hello. How are you doing today? Lovely day outside, isn't it?"

Noticing a twig, Archimedes squeaked a bit, and pulled it out, tossing it on the floor, while Enelya then muttered a thank you in Lizard-speak.

Kalix let out a small, deep laugh at her sudden interest in self-image. Well, maybe he didn't mind some girlish tendensies.

He sat up from his slouching position to talk, "Lovely. I just came in, as well, after looking around the school."

He raised an eyebrow at the lizard, then at Enelya when she spoke to it. Definately an odd pair, but that's was he was expecting, coming to a school like this, so he shouldn't be one to complain. He held out a hand, "I'm Kalix."

Now at the laugh, Enelya did blush. Her cheeks turned a potent rose red, and she scratched her head, finding yet another piece of grass. She pulled it out, and threw it onto the floor, not really caring about the tidyness of the school. She then looked up again as he started speaking. She smiled, and nodded.

"Nice place isn't it? Though I tend to be around the more scenic aspects of the school. I find the school itself restricting." She shrugged, and a big grin spread across her face as he stuck out his hand to shake. She grabbed it lightly, and shook it, "I'm Enelya, nice to meet you Kalix." She pointed to her lizard, and let out a little laugh, "...and that's Archimedes."

He tried hiding his grin, but didn't do a very good job.

"Though I tend to be around the more scenic aspects of the school."

His grin didn't fade. "I can tell." He glanced once between her hair and her face, "You might have to show me around when you aren't busy."

He glanced at the lizard on her shoulder. "So it has a name? An important name, at that. Any reason it's named after such a popular intellectual figure?" He tilted his head slightly at the question.

Enelya laughed, and nodded, empashizing her point. She sat down in a chair near him, and set down her bag full of different herbs she planned on cooking with later. Including vegetables, fruits, and spices she had grown in a small garden of hers in the forest. Archimedes ran down her arm, resting on the arm of the chair.

"Sounds like a good plan to me!" She grinned, and shrugged at his next question about Archimedes' name. "Umm... I'm not sure. I just liked it." She pointed to her head, "bad memory I'm afraid." Enelya's stomach made a grumble, and she raised an eyebrow. She bent slightly, reaching into her bag, pulling out an orange. She looked up at Kalix, still bent. "Would you like one? I grew it myself!"

Kalix watched her sit and toy with the greens. He's wasn't too big a fan of his veggies, but he'd eat them if they were set for him. His taste for fruit was considerably greater, but some of the stronger stuff just seemed too overpowering. As if having read his thoughts, she held up an orange. "Impressive, but no thank you. I prefer subtle tastes and oranges, well... you know." He shrugged slightly. "Thanks, anyway." He took another sip.

His eyes went from the herbs to her. "So how long have you been here? Must be quite a while if you've had time to grown an orange tree."

Enelya shrugged, and sat back up in her chair. She started peeling away at the orange's rinds, and threw them into her bag. They would make lovely poperie later. She peeled the round fruit in two halves, and then started popping the individual slices in her mouth. "Don't know what your missing!" She managed to mumble through bites.

"So how long have you been here? Must be quite a while if you've had time to grown an orange tree."

Enelya lowered her orange, and a big, mischievious grin spread across her face. "Yeah... about that..." She pointed to his armchair, and raised her finger. A little lily sprouted from the wood, and she titled her head, admiring her work. "I've been here for a little over half a year."
