Xylina knew that she was safe, why else would they move to a dusty old house on an island made for supernatural creatures and people that were different. She had read the letter, looked around the campus and could tell that things were different. She didn't have to pretend to be human but even so she was jumpy. She Checked her closet, her bathroom, locked all her windows twice and closed all her curtains.

She knew that there was an alarm system but for some reason no matter where she went she had trouble feeling safe. Then there was the thing with Alex, he had saved her but she had never met him. She knew that he was her brother, they both had red hair and green eyes. Her parents had shown her pictures...told her stories but she couldn't fathom another family member she had never met until recently. She felt like they had hidden him from her, just like they hid the war from her. She had ended up kidnapped because of it, kidnapped when she was actually following the strict rules on how she spent her time. Maybe if they had told her she wouldn't have felt smothered or felt like locking herself in her room to get away from people.

Alex was the only one who actually let her do her own thing, there wasn't constant hovering even if she could tell he wanted too. As much as she wanted to be the same annoying little sister she was before the kidnapping she couldn't help but want to hide away. She was a bit mischievous and rowdy...maybe that's why she was a good target. If she stayed in the house it would never happened again.

Eventually after watching reruns of Jimmy Neutron she fell asleep. Her tv casted blue and white shadows around her room. It was kind of weird, she stayed in whatever form she fell asleep in. It wasn't a surprise that she ended sleeping in her human form, her foot dangling slightly off the bed as she clutched onto her pillow for dear life.

Flashes of the room, being dragged, being hurt...they just keep playing over and over again as she tossed and turned screaming. It wasn't like anyone could hear her in her dream. Her screams were loud enough to wake up her brother. Static built up causing her hair to stand up a bit and then hit the lamp on the nightstand causing it to split in and half and fall on the floor. The sound of the lamp breaking and falling, woke Xylina up scream before he eyes scanned the room for a threat.

Once she realized she was in her room she focused on calming down. It scared her that she had stayed human, normally she turned back into a dragon. She didn't like the new place...it was new and she was scared to be herself. She was scared to look anything but human just in case.

Alexander stood on his back patio staring up at the night sky. Recent events had put him in a bit of an odd situation. After having kidnapped his baby sister whom he was aware of but hadn't actually met on account of him just being off training himself and crushing knight remnants. Perhaps that wasn't the wisest of choices considering the circumstances of how they met. The order of knights was more or less in decline but as they proved from this most recent stunt they were still very much a threat.

His sister didn't know him. She knew of him but she didn't know him. They were strangers and their parents idea of bonding was giving him their mansion on Manta Carlos and shipping them off to the school. The mansion was already promised to him, though he wasn't all that interested in it. That is until now. He strolled back inside, locking the door as he went. For his sister's sake he made a point of checking and double checking the locks at night. Renovations still had to be made to make the place feel less creepy. He was was just checking upstairs when he heard a scream from Xylina's room. Instinctively he stopped what he was doing and moved swiftly to her room, throwing open the door.

"Hey," he calmed himself when he saw she was alright, physically. A nightmare, he knew she was dealing with those. He moved over to her and sat on the bed. "I'm not going to let anyone hurt you," he wasn't one for shows of affection but she looked like she needed a hug. He hugged her tight. "They're not gonna get you here."

Xylina looked around and then Alex and then at her window. She was so sure that she was unsafe. What did it matter where she was? They would find her, she was supposed to safe back home. Never going outside unless she had people to surround her and keep her hidden. She didn't like the way her parents just tossed her into the fire. She hated the way being out in the open made her feel, she had no idea what to do.

She fliched at the hug before she relaxed into it. Trying to get her heart rate out of control. "I don't like this island, everything is new" she said quietly rubbing her eyes as they adjusted to being open. She was normally very good with dealing with things.

"Alex...I dont feel safe" She said sighing and moving away from the hug. Yes she knew that Alex was an amazing fighter, but she still felt like she could be kidnappes at any moment.

He could understand why his sister wouldn't feel safe. Having been snatched away from their parents and effectively tortured for several days it was only natural she'd still be reeling from that. He opted to take it slowly with her, everything had more or less been thrust upon them both so suddenly. "I wish we'd met under better circumstances, at least then coming here wouldn't be as rough on you," he sighed. She was family, even had a familial scent to her. Even so they were strangers.

Logically there was no way that group could mount any sort of attack against them but if one doesn't feel safe then one doesn't feel safe. It was as plain and simple as that. He frowned at his own powerlessness, he wasn't the best at the whole emoting thing. She was set to start up school, however given her current state, he was beginning to think sending her right away may not be the best idea. "I suppose telling you that you're safe isn't reassuring enough," he rubbed his chin. "I can talk to the school in pushing your start date back a few days. And I'll stay with you tonight. Do you want anything?"

Xylina looked around, she wanted to tell Alex what happened, how paranoid she was. How she was scared of her own shadows. She wanted to tell Alex how she was starting to grow a hatred for humans and things that weren't her own kind but she didn't want to seem too affected. She wanted to be strong, she didn't want to be as weak as they had said she was. She wasn't the weakest link, secretly wondered if that's why her parents sent her to live with Alex. She was failure and they didn't want to look at her.

She was shaking, trying not to break down and cry, she was stronger than that. She wouldn't break and give into the madness, she wanted to be sane and strong. "N-No I want to go to school, I'm fine alex. It's just a few bad dreams. I can handle school. Can I have some tea? I just...I feel really cold." She asked looking up at him. She felt safe when he was around but she didn't know if she trusted him just yet. She just...everything was strange and suspicious to her, the shadow the plant casted...all of it.
