Claire was already tired of this place, in some ways. She wanted to experience new things, not go to classes. She decided that she wanted to think, think of a plan or something so that she could have new experiences.

She brought her notebook out, with a checklist of things that she wanted to do at this school wishes more or less. She wrote down the first five things that came to mind:
1.Have your first kiss
2.Get a boyfriend/girlfriend
3.At least make a few friends that are like you
4.Learn to cook
5.Advance your powers.

She laughed at the horrible list that she had made herself, wondering how she thought that those things were all important. She put her notebook on the ledge, and looked out from the roof. "This place has a nice view."

<div align=center>A voice made William stir, he lifted his head from his arms, and groaned. I fell asleep up here again? He had to stop doing that, he'd always come up here to get away from everyone, and naturally it was usually quiet, which lead to Bill feeling sleepy... And then... Well... William yawned loudly and stretched. He slowly sat up, his hair was stuck on end and the corner of his mouth felt damp. Was I drooling? He wiped it with the back of his sleeve and took a few moments to recollect himself, he felt groggy and slow, and how he wished he hadn't fallen asleep. Gabriel always told William to drink coffee or energy drinks. Unfortunately he didn't really have a taste for energy drinks, and he didn't have time for coffee.

There's someone else here. He told himself, rising to his feet. He flattened his hair, and yawned again. How embarrassing for me. Though as he made to leave the area, he recognized the girl vaguely, he'd talked to her before, what was her name..? Courtney, Clarice... Claire. Her name was Claire, how could he forget? He blinked, wondering what she was doing up here all alone, though he supposed the same could have been asked of him.</div>

She looked out for a bit longer, then finally noticed that there was someone else here. 'Great Claire, just ignore everyone then, if you cant even tell that there were others up here!' She thought.

Claire turned around to see someone, someone she remembered. "Hey there, William. Fall asleep?" She smiled.

<div align=center>The boy smiled sheepishly, was it that obvious? "Uh..." He rubbed the back of his neck, "yeah." He felt a flush creep across his cheeks, feeling just a tad embarrassed. He remained there for a little while, wondering if the girl wanted to be left alone or not. She'd remembered his name, and that made him smile, he still resented Gabe a little for more or less forgetting his name once, though Bill had supposed it had taken him a moment or two to recall Claire's name, but that was different, Gabriel had been so... Well, they'd started off so well.

It was a different story now though, and William often wasn't sure if he hated Gabe or, well, the opposite. He wouldn't call it love, his feelings confused him half the time and he was too frightened to ever ask Gabe about it, he was always worried he'd take it the wrong way. He smiled softly at the younger girl, tucking a strand of hair behind his ear and laughing. "I uh, I was comfy." He mumbled, averting his gaze to look at the view. He supposed it would be a nice view if he could stand the height.</div>

She half smiled at him. 'I wonder what he was doing up here.' She leaned back over the ledge and sighed. "You can join me if you want. I don't really want to be left alone, which is a first for me." She looked down at her notebook, puzzled. She put it in her hands, and then handed it over to him.

"If you can help me with any of those, in any way, that would be nice." She then turned around, scared at that he would say. "I am not meaning that you have to do them or anything, just that if you have any pointers and stuff." She blushed.

<div align=center>William considered her offer for a moment or two, before taking it, and sinking to the ground next to her, crossing his legs underneath him and leaning back on his hands. It was nice to have company once in a while, it didn't really matter who it was, Bill thought, he just didn't really like to be alone. As he sat, she handed him something. It took him a moment or two to realize what it was, his eyes flickered down to look at it. It was a checklist of sorts, have your first kiss. The boy laughed, he wasn't really sure if he could help her with any of this. Saying that, he was pretty good at cooking.

He shrugged, "what do you mean a few friends that like you?" He asked, brow furrowing slightly, "I like you," he laughed again, he didn't really see a reason to dislike her, she hadn't done anything wrong to him and she wasn't exactly nasty. First kiss. This amused him for some reason, not because she wanted it, but merely the context of it, he thought it was funny how someone was asking him to help them with getting a first kiss when this was more or less the exact place where he'd had his. "But I uh, don't think I'd be very good at.. At anything else."</div>

Claire frowned, sad at his response. "That's okay, I didn't really think that you were going to exactly do any of them. I just thought that maybe you have some pointers."

She sighed and tried the answer his question the best that she could. "I guess that, I am just stubborn, and I actually don't like people that much." She looked at him, shrugging.

"I guess since I joined this school, I have been trying to change that, to try to be nice, but it isn't the easiest." She looked down at her notebook, worried if anything would change.

"Trying to get all of those things done, won't be all that easy. I'll have to try though, but my past just keeps reminding me that I am not a nice person." She looked at William then laughed. "I guess I made a few, small changes."

<div align=center>The boy shrugged, "you remind me of someone," he laughed, his voice just a tad distant. "Another person I know who's stubborn as a gosh darn mule," he shook his head, letting out a short sigh, there was a small, dreamy little smile set upon his features. He didn't think Claire was a bad person, he'd done some bad things, but he didn't let them bother him now, or at least he tried not to. He wondered what she had done, though didn't want to ask, it wasn't generally something you asked a person you didn't know very well, and he didn't know her all that well.

"Stupid, too..." He murmured, "not that you're stupid." He stated, he understood what she meant how it was hard to be nice, to some extent he supposed it was, but for him it was merely difficult to keep a conversation, and therefore it seemed like he was being rude if he didn't want to talk, or he didn't say anything. He wasn't all that good at socializing, he was used to being on his own most of the time, even when he did have a group of friends, they were all wary of him and he didn't really get to do much with them. "Stupid and obnoxious..."</div>

"Yeah..." She trailed off. She looked at him, half happy. "Do you have any pointers, on how to get rid of your past?" She put her head down. "No matter how hard I try, it always finds a way back into my life. The major and minor things that I have done, my own stupid and self-centered decisions, have cause me to be coldhearted." She sniffs, as of she doesn't want to cry.

"I-I am trying, by making friends but..." She looked at William. "But look at you, I don't even know you. You probably don't want to hear all of my problems." She laughed quietly, as she was on the edge of crying. "I am sorry William, you don't deserve this." She wiped her eyes, then took a deep breath. She half smiled as if nothing had happened.

<div align=center>William shrugged, "it's happened now." He told her, "there's no way you can get rid of it, and there's no way you can change it, so what's the point of worrying?" He asked, a small sigh escaping him. Everything was different now, he was away from his family in a place full of strange people that didn't want to know him, the situation was similar back at home, but this was completely new, everyone was different, he'd made new friends, he'd made new family. He smiled a little, he liked being here, he'd decided. It didn't matter who he was friends with and who he wasn't friends with, he just enjoyed the company he could get.

"It's nothing to cry about," he sighed, "I cry a lot, though.. So I guess it makes no difference." And he did, the boy had probably already cried about five or six different times this week, about different things, in different situations. It was easy to tell the difference between attention crying and, well, the other. Most of it was just his reaction to things that happened, it wasn't serious, you could cuddle him, or kiss him and he'd stop. The other kind couldn't be fixed all that easily, but often it didn't happen. "There's other stuff on your list, anyway, and don't try and force friendships, or romance. It'll come along, you can't push it."</div>
