"Don't worry," he'd chuckle a bit, "I'll keep you from bumping into anyone." The thought of dancing with her sounded nice, even though he didn't really know how to dance. "It'll be fun."
He kept his arm around her, the thumbs up adding a bit of confidence to him. She was right of course, mistakes happen, but so far the night was going well. His nerves were easing down as time went on, this was the best night he'd had in a long time. "I've never been on a date before, I'm really happy I asked you out."
Then the announcer reappeared, he'd go on to say that the servers would now remove the tables so that the dancing can begin. The tables were taken away and into the back, the musicians took their places again.
"You ready?" he'd ask, giving her hand a gentle squeeze. The music began again, the glowing figures re-appeared and began to dance around the hall. Zeke would stand, taking her hands and helping her up, he was excited, his heart beating fast. "I've never danced before really, but I still think dancing with you will be fun."
