He'd grin at her excitement and order his own ice cream as well, cookie dough with hot fudge and sprinkles. "Yes, napkins are a good idea," he'd chuckle, accepting their oder and the napkins, he'd pay for them and lead her to one of the tables.

"I think you're going to like the got fudge," he'd say with a grin, "it's messy but really delicious." He'd take a bite of his ice cream, enjoying the flavor and the warm fudge. "How do you like it so far?" he'd ask with chuckle, "sweet like you?"

Zeke would eat more of his ice cream. "Can I ask a question?" he'd ask, and then chuckle, "well I guess that was a question." Another bite of ice cream. "What do souls look like? It's ok if you don't want to talk about it, I know powers can be odd, my empathy is strange"

Just as Zeke was telling her she'd enjoy the fudge her spoon had already scooped a healthy blob of fudge with a tiny bit of icecream into her mouth. Once again her blinded eyes widened as the ooey gooey warm chocolate mixed with the cold but sweet icecream. She licked her lips and reached out to hug him. "Yes, I like this a lot. You are the best dessert finder I have met." Technically she enjoyed a lot of the treats people on the island had introduced her to, but it was pretty hard to beat some great icecream and a nice warm dollop of hot fudge.

"You think I am sweet? But I do not have chocolate sauce... I do not have chocolate sauce on me do I?" She had started to joke and then stopped halfway to pat at her face in case she actually did have some on her.

The question... or questions technically, didnt seem to catch her off guard or sour her mood any. "The souls? Hmm.. how to explain....," she replied with a pondering look on her face. It wasnt easy to describe a sense that not everyone had.

Lycia scooped another big bite of icecream into her mouth and then looked towards Zeke's soul. Or roughly around his chest level from his point of view. "Like a big fat rope with many strings put together. A healthy one glows bright and hurt ones... have broken ends or twist away like a old rope about to break. And sometimes they are not so glowy."

Zeke would chuckle, "you have a little on your chin, but that's it," he'd slide a napkin into her hand. "It's kinda cute looking, but it'll get sticky soon," he was enjoying this, simple adorable fun for them.

"Interesting," he'd say with a thoughtful hum, "that sounds really cool, useful." He'd eat a bit of his ice cream, "my empathy is weird, picking up others emotions, the stronger ones can hurt my head, to many strong ones and it can make me pass out."

"What's my soul look like?" he'd ask without thinking, taking a bite of his ice cream, "sorry if that's weird to ask."

"Oh!" She giggled and closed her hand around the napkin, brushing her fingers against his hand in the process. Lycia patted her chin a few times to banish the chocolatey leftovers before smiling in his direction. "Yes, I do not want to be a mess on this date."

As they chatted about souls and empathy Lycia scooped more icecream into her mouth to enjoy. Most of the fudge had been eaten within the first spoonfuls but the rest had kind of swirled in with the melting icecream. "Hmm... how do you get the emotions? Do you have mine?" She asked curiously, setting the spoon back down for a moment. "Oh... I am not hurting you am I?" She wasnt worried about him knowing what she felt, but she suddenly realized her joy at all the fun things they were doing was a strong emotion.

As for what his soul looked like... she didnt see it as a weird question. She didn't even think about that. Instead she looked carefully at the place where his soul was and glanced ot over from top to bottom and back. "Your soul is hurt. Like if someone spilled something dark on parts and pulled some of the strings out to wave around." Her voice was lower because shes been taught that talking about someone's soul was private, but she also didnt hesitate to tell him about it.

He'd hum in thought, his soul was damaged, he wasn't really sure what to make of that. "I see," he'd take her hand and gently squeeze it, "thank you, your ability seems very useful, unique." It did seem like a cool ability, seeing souls.

Zeke would chuckle, "my empathy is weird, knowing what people are feeling, I don't usually tell people I have the power." He'd shrug, "some find it invasive, which I get." They were dating, so he thought she should know about the power. The boy took another bite of his ice cream. "Emotions are like emotions," he'd chuckle, "each flavor is different does different things."

Another bite of ice cream down. "Want some more hot fudge?" he'd ask with a smile, "it's a fun food, even if it does get everywhere." He didn't mind her making a mess, it was endearing, cute.

Lycia squeezed Zeke's hand right back. Actually she did it twice just because she could. "Do you want me to try to heal your soul?" She asked him. It wasn't a particularly easy thing to do but she did know how. Her whole family was innately liked to soul magics. Lycia, as usual, also wasnt thinking about the costs of it. Being comatose for a day or two didnt seem like a lot but the whole time she would be trapped in the Dream. Regardless of what happened she wouldn't be able to wake up and she wouldn't have very much, if any, control over it during the downtime.

She listened as he explained how he basically just knew what people were feeling around him. Lycia shrugged and kept swirling her spoon around in her icecream. "I do not think I hide my feelings a lot," she replied pretty honestly. And really she hadn't. She was excited and happy to be around Zeke and had when she had become uncomfortable or scared, well she hadn't really hid it much. Lycia was more or less an open book anyway.

Lycia wasnt worried about making that much of a mess, she was focused on enjoying the ice cream and enjoying the date in general. But she didn't really want more hot fudge at the moment. "No," she shook her head. "The ice cream is melting too fast for more warm chocolate. Maybe I will just drink it." Her giggles spilled out much like the chocolate had earlier. Zeke didnt need emotion sensing to tell she was having a great time. Or that she really liked him, for that matter.
