A fire dragon and a firebird. Makes a lot of sense. Dad friends are always useful. Perhaps irene could ask for advice on safely encouraging shara to pursue her more fighty hobbies since irene is a big ol pacifist at heart

Vito di Savoia was, you know, in space. Then he crash landed on Manta Carlos. It would be very easy to wiggle how much time/energy/food he had left and have him be in pretty serious condition when he landed, and for Irene to be the first responder.
