Zachary walked into the woods and stripped down. The clothes he had now had all been altered so they would change with him, but nothing quite compared to the feeling of freedom presented in running around naked. It brought him closer to the side of his wolf nature. Bearing that in mind he opted to shift to wolf form. His fur was a beautiful shade of black and looked up at the moon, enjoying the mist and the feeling of true freedom he finally had.

He was focused and clear and he briefly considered stepping into the umbra to do this but decided that he was going to just run through the woods. Bearing that in mind he took off, full speed across the forest catching scents, feeling the wind going through his fur, and foraging for small animals hidden in the brush and enjoyed the search for prey. Even though he was born as a human, he could truly enjoy the things the wyld gave him. He did think it was odd that he hadn't run into any other large predators.

Trini had been settled into her dorm room for a few days now, classes had yet to be decided for her but she wasn't really concerned. She honestly just wanted to explore. The campus was so large and there was just so much to see within and outside of the school grounds, she didn't think that she'd have enough time to give everything a thorough once over before her classes started up and her free time went out the window. It was already dark when she decided she wanted to go out for a walk, the air was crisp and filled her lungs with the chill fall air that she loved. Strolling casually through the school grounds she saw that a path led off to what looked like a forest, interested beyond clear reasoning and just curious about every nook and cranny available to her she headed towards it.

The forest was overgrown, that much was for sure. Branches and leaves interlaced with each other over her head and shielded even the smallest bit of moonlight from entering the dank undergrowth. If not for her ability to see in the dark, she would have turned back and returned at a later time with a flashlight or waited until morning, but since she could see she just continued on.

"It's...quiet," she breathed softly, her ears trained for any sort of movement in the bushes or rustle of the trees. When she heard none, she felt a feeling of foreboding creep up on her; thinking back to the booklet she had picked up at the main office, she tried to remember what the pages said about the forest closest to the school grounds, but couldn't remember anything past it's location. After a while, she lowered her guard, thinking that if anything wanted to jump out at her it already would have; that's when she heard it. The sound of a large being barreling through the trees and the underbrush, snapping twigs and rustling nearby bushes as it ran. What ever it was she didn't like the sound of it and turned to run back out of the forest and into the clearing of the school campus when she realized that she had strayed too far in and didn't know exactly where 'out' was.

"Ah...mierda..." she heard the rustling of the underbrush again and she paused, inhaling sharply to try and scent what was out there. After a moment to process what she had just scented, she froze in realization, "Un lobo?"

Looking around, she tried to pinpoint where the rustling and scent was coming from but couldn't quite keep a handle on what her instincts were trying to tell her. She didn't know what exactly to expect in a situation like this, was she supposed to shift or remain in human form? If there was a chance that the wolf she scented was a shifter, she'd be able to reason with it...but then again, if the thing was wild, well, that was another story.

And Zachary was not lost in the forest. It was not the most ideal situation but he was hardly concerned with it now. He had left his clothes near the entrance and would be fine with tracking them down later if necessary... At least as long as nothing else got hold of them and scattered them about. He continued to run until he caught the scent of something that didn't belong in the forest. Human? There was something else there but he couldn't pinpoint exactly what it was.

He tore out of the bushes like a bat out of hell and was suddenly in the middle of the forest looking at a girl. She was about 5'5" and fairly attractive by his standards. Part of him wanted to transform back but that would involve him standing there in his birthday suit. Despite this he also remembered reading books about maidens in the woods where the wild wolves roamed and they would transform into naked humans and engage in primal intercourse with those women... somehow he didn't think this was one of those times. Her heart rate was irregular and he figured she had heard him coming or sensed or any number of any extrasensory abilities that could have lead to his discovery.
<Good evening for a run, right?> He said in his best voice which came out more as "grrr arf howl wine rar".

Her eyes widened when she heard the sound of a large something tearing through the underbrush and halting behind her. With a quick turn, she faced whatever it was that had entered onto the path she was currently occupying and saw that her senses had been correct in assuming that whatever was stalking around in the shadows was indeed a wolf. The animal was large in size, black in color and shaggy, almost as if it had been running for a while and it's fur had gotten all mussed up during it's extrusion. For a moment, she thought it was just going to stare at her and then run off, but after that moment passed and she heard it growling at her, she knew better. Instinct immediately took over and she shifted, her body morphing into that of her feline form as it tore through the clothing she had been wearing and ripped the strap of the satchel she had been carrying over her shoulder, causing the bag to fall to the ground.

Bounding forward, her hands met the ground as large paws and her tail lashed out in a warning; the copper gleam of her large feline eyes narrowed and trained on the form of the black wolf. She was still smaller than the creature, but she felt safer, knowing that if it attempted to attack her she'd be able to defend herself to a point, with the powerful claws and fangs she knew she now possessed. A low hiss escaped her throat and she bared said fangs in another attempt at giving a warning.

"Back it up, lobo," she growled, her voice coming through as clearly as if she were still a human, save the rough gravely state of it, "Or I'll give you something to growl about."

She felt a sense of pride in her chest as she slowly circled to the left, her tail still lashing out behind her as a physical form of her current aggravation; her thoughts came to her clearly and when she flexed her claws they did as she wished. She was in control, she could still feel the animal within trying to get that control back but she had it by the scruff of it's neck and everything was fine. When she inhaled, she found the the wolf's scent was different. With her sense's heightened in her feline state she was able to smell the difference between a normal wolf and that of something new...a shifter? No, there was something a little off about it, different than that of a normal shifter. Confused, she lowered her body, her ears falling back on her head as she watched him carefully, the snarl disappearing from her muzzle, but her large eyes still trained on the wolf's form.

Most Garou had to dig deep and force their way through the five forms, Zachary and his master, as well as one of his master's pack mates were a different story however and while the pack mate could only change certain parts of her body at will, he had learned, through very painful and extreme practice and in secret areas of the umbra, how to truly control the transformations, though it was slower. Instead of just instinctively switching back to homid form, he took his time, shifting through the states.

First was the near wolf form, Hispo, a bear sized wolf stood before the now shifted jaguar. Next was the war form, crinos, and his frame grew to an even nine feet bipedal form with extended arms and jaws and claws that could rip bones out of creatures and smash trees. After that was the near human form, glabro, about 6'7" form with extra fur and a huge muscular frame. And finally he shifted to human, a light tan skinned, well built male standing completely nude in the cool autumn air.
"I was just making small talk, forgot how hard it is to talk in wolf form. And Lobo was another wolf who associated too closely with the Nuwisha, my changer name is Tsuki no Kage, Shadow of the moon, and my human name is Zachary." He explained. He had watched the clothes get tattered and assumed, much as his always used to, that she had not learned how to make clothing that would shift with you. It made for an interesting gift idea, but he opened his arms wide in body language.
"If you're planning to eat me I'll let you, just please don't eat my face or my manhood, i'll need those in the afterlife." He joked.

The transformation she visually experienced was tremendous, she had honestly never seen anyone go through so many different levels of a shift like that; it was astounding. She crouched there, her eyes locked on his form and her mouth slightly ajar as she stared on in awe. Of course, she had witnessed shiftings before, having watched her father and mother as well as her older brother go through similar transformations, but nothing came close to this. The different beings he seemed to become, the different shapes and sizes; she was impressed to say the least. The way he transformed too, it meant that he wasn't an average shifter, something that proved her senses correct in assuming there was something different about him. She wondered offhandedly if he could very well be a werewolf, but didn't want to make any solid decisions. Her ears perked up when he began to speak, but she remained in such a position that would allow her to bolt at a moments notice as she stared up at him.

Trini was un-phased by his nudity, staring instead at the way his throat moved when he spoke. She twitched a little when he opened his arms suddenly, but settled back into her a more relaxed position when he continued and even joked with her.

"I'm on a diet..." she rumbled softly, playing along. Her body seeming to relax as she realized the man standing before her was no threat, "Besides...I'm not particularly in the mood for canine."

She sat back on her haunches, bringing a large paw up to rub the tension from her face before dropping it and staring at the man who introduced himself as Zachary for another silent moment as she tried to decided whether or not it would be a good idea to change back right then.

"Zachary, huh?" she allowed herself a quick once over of his body before blinking back up to his face and raising her head in a prideful manner, "I'm Trini, Trini De Costa. Good to meet you."

He had only seen animal spirits talk in their animal forms. Only the odd Garou or Bastet in a grand while had the ability to use anything but their species innate language as far as he knew and that made her an abnormality.
"Nice to meet you. Now... how are you talking as a Jaguar... I mean I've never even come close to getting the hang of speaking English in my animal form, and barely that in anything but the near human form. I think where I come from you'd be something of a celebrity." He said speaking in as much of a formal voice as he could muster standing naked. He still hadn't shed all vestiges of the human humility in being naked... nor the human reaction to seeing others naked.

"I'm glad you're not a fan of canine meat. I haven't been a food supply since nineteen ninety never but it's nice to be able to avoid the experience." He added, starting to wonder how funny other humans not in the know would think him if they saw him standing naked talking to a Jaguar and having a full conversation.

She tilted her head when he questioned her ability to speak, unsure how to explain something that she only knew as a normality.

"I, uh, I just can? It's always been this way, shifters can speak as long as they're in control," she recalled being unable to call out to her father during one of their training sessions and having to watch as her body disobeyed her and she almost attacked an innocent hiker, "Si perdemos el control de nuestra bestia, entonces perdemos el control de nuestro discurso. It's a saying, without control there is nothing, basically. We aren't wild animals...but we do have our moments."

She said the last bit of information as her father had explained it to her when she was younger, but didn't exactly expect Zachary to understand. She felt a little embarrassed having to explain it to him, since she was more often than not unable to speak clearly in this form, today she had been lucky and her inner feline had allowed her control. Looking around, she caught sight of the torn fabric that used to be her clothes.

"That was one of my favorite shirts," she mumbled in annoyance to herself, with a slight growl, she rose from her seated position and padded towards her torn satchel, nudging it open with a paw, "Good thing I brought something extra...um..."

She glanced up at Zachary as she dipped her head to grab hold of the torn satchel with her mouth, pausing to consider whether or not she should go behind a tree to change. Wanting to retain some decency in front of this stranger, she grabbed the bag in her mouth and bounded behind a nearby tree, shifting as she hit cover and becoming a human once more. She stood on two legs and instantly felt the breeze of autumn on her skin, it felt good, but she needed to not be naked. Reaching into the bag she pulled the extra jacket that she had brought with her from it's hold and slipped it over her arms, zipping it up when she had it on. The jacket was a little too big on her, something that she often favored during the cold months, and reached her mid-calf.

"Theeere," she seemed to purr, stepping out from behind the tree and grinning over at Zachary, "That's better, not that I wouldn't mind being a celebrity. This is just a bit...safer."

And now the human instinct of shame crept in on him even more. He was now standing naked in front of a fully clothed girl who had maintained the foresight to not only keep her clothes on, but brought extras just in case. He had listened to her quote and realized it was very much true for his kin as well.
"You have me at a disadvantage. I lack any extra clothes and um... " He was now fairly nervous. It wasn't like a hospital setting with a nurse that was supposed to see you, or at least part of you, naked anyway. This was someone who appeared to be his own age who now had a distinct advantage on him and he didn't really like it. The brief notion of grabbing a leaf and somehow attacking it to his crotch made way into his thoughts but he couldn't help but realize how stupid that was. He didn't have the ability to summon clothing because he hadn't dealt a lot with silk worm spirits or spider spirits and so he did the only thing he could think of.

"Be right back." He said, slowly shifting back into wolf form, each feature taking a little bit of time to manifest. He quickly took in a deep whiff of her scent and then went running back to the forest to get his clothing, returning to homid form and putting it on before heading back to Trini. What he hadn't even been thinking about was that the method he was going to use to find his way out of the forest if he got lost, was no long a viable option, but that never occurred to him, in fact he never even got the chance as he started to hear sounds behind him, followed by a loud thud and finally a huge black bear with some sort of thickened armor plating on its nose, underbelly, and back and scars on its face. His eyes grew wide and he took off running at full speed in homid form, tearing out of the bushes to face Trini again, only this time he turned and pointed.
"BEAR!" Was the only word that escaped his lips and the gigantic hulking mass erupted from the brush after him. He wasn't a big fan of fighting any of Gaia's other children but he wasn't about to take it on alone either, not if he didn't have to waste any of his rage just fighting a basic animal.

When the bear saw there were two humans now it stopped barreling ahead. It stopped, sizing up the two of them and roaring.
"Know anything in particular about scaring off unruly Ursine?" He said, addressing the bear with the name the Gurahl (werebears) preferred to address their animal kin, though not all would necessarily know it but context clues were the thick point here. It never even occurred to him that he was fully clothed now in his black shirt with the black martial arts pants that had the violet flames at the bottom of the legs and the black leather coat he wore that had gotten some tears from the brush.

Trini held back the urge to giggle at his obvious discomfort and wondered where his previous naked enthusiasm had gone. She walked towards him and was surprised to have him shift in front of her again and dash off, uttering something about being back as he ran. She stood there in slight confusion, wondering if something had happened to cause him to run off like that. He had mentioned not having anything on hand to change into and she realized he had probably left to grab something to wear...or just to leave. Either way, she wasn't just going to stand there until he got back.

She decided to use her time waiting for him to return gathering the tattered remains of what was left of her clothes. Kneeling down she slowly picked the pieces up off the ground and wondered whether or not anything could be salvaged. With a shake of her head she stuffed each piece into her bag, holding it in such a way that it wouldn't all just spill back out. While she was gathering, she thought about Zachary and how different he was. He was one of the first animal shifters she met that hadn't been introduced to her by her parents and that in itself made him even more interesting to her. She stopped gathering the fabric pieces of her clothes for a moment and balanced the bag on her knees as she crouched there, pondering over what kind of person he was when he wasn't running naked through the trees.

The sound of someone beating earth behind her made her straighten, her bag clenched tightly in her hands as she turned to see Zachary running back towards her from the trees. It was a little difficult to see from where she was, but through the darkness it looked as if something large was following behind him.

"Zachary, What're-"

"BEAR!"

His words interrupted hers and she saw him point into the trees where she had seen the large figure. She watched as the bear stepped through the trees and underbrush, rearing back on it's legs and roaring threateningly at them, this caused her to drop the bag she had been carrying and step closer to Zachary. Sizing up the creature before them, she brought her hands up to the zipper of her coat and frowned seriously.

"I know one," with one swift movement, she gripped the metal zipper between her fingers and pulled, unzipping the coat and pulling it from her body as she dived forward, her bare body shifting as she launched herself at the bear and forced it backwards, her claws attempting to dig into it's belly only to meet with hard metal. She bounced off of the bear's metal plating and circled back around, standing between it and Zachary and hissing menacingly as she arched her back in an attempt at looking bigger. She had wrestled Usars before, cousins or really friends of the family, but still bears nonetheless. She knew how to bring one down and she wasn't afraid to do it. The only difference was that this bear was armored. Just hitting the thing with her body seemed to jar her as she bounced off the metal plating of it's stomach, a spot that was usually sensitive to attack, "Well...that didn't work."
