When she passed out he felt a little more relieved when she passed out... At least until she started shifting back. Then he was both admiring and uncomfortable with what he was about to do. Nursing the wounds he got from her as the others had healed, he shifted back to human form, fully clothed shaking his head.
"This was why I tried to give you my coat. descansar. Yo te protegeré." He said softly as he knelt beside her taking off his coat. His eyes closed as he touched the spiritual side, calling upon his gnosis. He placed his hands on her bare midsection and spoke.
"Haha Gaia watashi wa anata no seishin no izureka o shiyō shite iyashino tasuku no tame ni anata o kongan. Watashi ni chikara o fuyo shi, doryoku de watashi no nōryokude wanai samatageru." (Mother Gaia I beseech you for the task of healing through one of your spirits. Grant me the power and hinder not my capacity in the endeavor. He said, as a brilliant black aura surrounded in a thick violet outline slowly started to cover them both, closing any wound that hadn't already healed and removing any potential poisons from her system such as those from the oil. It wouldn't cure the exhaustion, but she would wake up healed. (Gnosis 3/4)

Once that was done, he took off his trench coat, wrapping it around her and lifting her up. He would walk out of the forest with her, determined to make sure he came back with a pack. Despite his thoughts, he was glad to be leaving with Trini.

He was careful with her, carrying her as if she was precious cargo and stopped right in front of the exit from the forest, waiting for her to awaken.

Sleeping felt like such a relief for her, she didn't feel the bruising of her ribs or the pain of the gouging in her shoulder and she definitely didn't feel the cold chill of the air in the forest or the grimy coating of dust that had enveloped her body after she had finished scuffling with the jaguar beast from before. While she slept, she didn't dream and saw only darkness, something that was a rare occurrence and only seemed to happen whenever she passed out. There was a moment where she could have sworn she heard someone talking, catching only snip-its of what they were saying as a strange warmth enveloped her body and replaced the cold darkness of unconsciousness that had taken hold of her.

"...descansar. Yo te protegeré."

The words that were uttered slid through her mind and wrapped around her like a blanket, lifting her up from the ground and cradling her against a solid force that only seemed to intensify the warmth she was feeling. At some point, she could feel herself purring; the soft rumble that erupted from her chest whenever she felt comfortable and safe, as she was feeling now. When she finally opened her eyes she was surprised to see that she was no longer lying face first on the forest floor. Upon looking up, she blinked in silence as she tried to register the fact that Zachary was holding her in his arms and that they weren't exactly in the thicket of the trees any longer.

What exactly had happened? Where were they? Did anything happen while she was unconscious? She wanted to pelt him with the questions that begged to be answered but instead she smiled lopsidedly up at him and muttered in a croaky tired voice, "Hi."

He smiled, happy that she was awake and pressed his forehead against hers, just happy to see she was okay.
"Hey I was worried about you for a bit. You can keep the coat. Now do you want to go back to your place or the hospital? He asked, continuing to carry her until they were finally out of the woods. He passed a couple that was just sitting there at what appeared to be a picnic outside of the forest and he smiled and nodded as he passed them, hoping the fact he was carrying a girl wrapped up in a trench coat would be overlooked.

Trini's eyes widened as his forehead pressed gently against hers in a sign that she only related with that of affection. When he pulled back and mentioned how he had been worried about her, her skin flushed and she felt herself overheating.

Rrrrrrrrrrr

"Uh, r-right, sorry to worry you," she smiled a little awkwardly and glanced around, wondering if anyone saw the forehead kiss that had just went down.

"You can keep the coat."

Glancing back up at Zachary, she paused, wondering exactly what he meant before looking down at herself and realizing just how much she needed that heavy bit of fabric.

Rrrrrrrrrrr

"Oh...thanks," she wanted to laugh, finding the fact that she had lost two of her favorite pieces of clothing in one night hilarious. Instead she chuckled softly and half tucked, half snuggled into the coat as well as into his arms. It was warm and she liked being up so high, she would have enjoyed it even more if he hadn't offered to take her to a hospital, "No, no, no hospital. I'm fine...feel right as uh- rainfall. My dorms just down the way-"

Rrrrrrrrrrrr-

During their after battle stroll from the forest, Trini had hardly noticed the fact that she was still purring while she relaxed in Zachary's arms. Now that she was speaking and actively conscious of her actions, she felt the steady thrum of her rumbling chest from the vibrating purr that was emanating from it. Abruptly she stopped, reddening even more as she tried to hide herself in the coat she had borrowed and hoped that he had been as distracted as she was and hadn't noticed.

"Just...down that way."

He smiled as she spoke and purred though he pretended not to notice. When she buried herself deeper into his arms that smile widened and he mentally shrugged, enjoying the moment. He happily carried her toward her dorm enjoying the stroll. He wanted to talk to her, and brief flashes of memory of seeing her body struck. He shook the thoughts out of his mind and focused on the now, besides bringing that up wasn't going to lighten the situation. Thus, the joke he was prepared to make was lost. Besides what he wanted from Trini was much deeper than the flesh, and he would need to actually speak with her to do that so quiet contemplation become contemplative conversation.

"So we've seen each others' inner beasts, I'm glad you're still after seeing mine." He finally decided to say after considering that it might ruin the moment. Regardless, it was necessary in order to get to know her.

((OOC: I'm thinking it's probably about time for an end to this chapter, but maybe we can start another one soon :). I'm thinking one more post from you and one more from me maybe and we can end it on that note.))

Trini admitted that she was a little embaressed about the purring, but it didn't seem to affect what was happening between the two of him so she decided it would be best to pretend like it hadn't happened. When he mentioned their inner beasts she chuckled.

"Yeah, right," she squirmed a little in his arms and began to itch for the ground, wanting to be able to walk on her own two feet now that she was able again, "It looked like you have a lot more to handle than I do...I have to say, I'm pretty impressed."

She tried to hide the blush on her face when she said that, not wanting him to think she had developed any sort of feelings for him regardless of the fact that she felt that she might have. She didn't know whether or not it was a side effect from his earlier rescue, but figured it wouldn't hurt to explore them a little; especially with someone like him. He looked like he was so in control of whatever was going on inside him with his "beasts" and, maybe it was the admiration talking but, she thought he was amazing.

"You can put me down now," she looked away from him and eyed the ground, a small smile on her lips, "Thanks for the lift though."

They were already pretty close to the dormitories anyway, she figured it wouldn't be too much effort on her part to jog back to her room without being seen.

((Ok, so you can put her down and then say how she ran off. And then we should be good, CD made a thread for the three of our characters at the club and I'll start one up for Trini and Kuro at the coffee shop!))

He smiled at her comment about having more, but it was somewhat untrue.
"Garou, and other changing breeds only have to worry about out inner wolf if we don't have anyone to teach us when we undergo the first change. Other than that it's a matter of handling our rage." He explained, but by the time he had finished they were close to the dorms and she had asked to put her down.

"It was a pleasure meeting you Trini. You can keep the coat by the way, I have another at home." He said with a wink, knowing full well that giving it back to him now was probably not going to be the best of choices anyway.
"The coat will shift with you... I think... I don't know what kind of shifter you are since I haven't seen one like you, but you can test it out later. As for this whole incident, I think it best we keep it a secret, at least for now. I've got some investigating to do, but I think it best if other people don't go looking to see if it's true." The last part was added on a very serious tone though non threatening and obviously more concerned than anything else.

On that note, he walked away, unsure about when or if he would see her again, but looking forward to the day if it were to come. In the interim, it was probably time to go home for a drink and a shower.
