She yawned as she packed her things up, ready to head out for the door. Nero was under her desk, resting with his head on his paws. He was big enough that it gave her very little room for her feet. She was glad he came with her that day, though. That was one of the best things about magical school, there was so much more to it.
Nero yawned and stretched his front paws out, shaking to wake himself. He stared at her a second, determining whether he would have to get up yet or not.
"I'm almost ready," she told him aloud.
He sneezed at her and laid his head back down, closing his eyes. Just as he did, Keira slipped and her things went tumbling to the floor.
He wasn't one to, well, be creepy but in his mind he felt that way. He often has a habit of aimlessly walking through whatever hall he could, to try to block out the little voice in his head. 'This is just making us both bored you know.' His sister whispered into his head as if she was that beside him. Pario grunted, wishing that his spratic methods would wrong in his favour. She sometimes always had a way to make sure she never left his mind. Maybe it was Acellyn's inner fears that were making him unable to forget her. Maybe she was afraid of vanishing, even though she did that a long time ago when she died.
He sighed heavily, shakig his head at the constant tap of his shoes on the floor. The tapping stopped for a moment, as Pario turned his head to a crashing sound. He gulped his spit, wondering if it was worth the effort to creep through the crack in the door to look in. 'Stop being such a pussy.' It echoed in his head like a song. He gripped the handle of the door, swinging it open to whatever it had to offer. Immediately, the eyes on his face fell to papers and binders and books and personal items all fallen to the floor. His eyes traced a pair of fair legs. "I-Oh excuse me." He muttered out as she leaned his body down to help pick up the lady's fallen work. He glanced up and his eyes were now on a less lovely set of legs. Thankfully, it was rather cute and not as threatening as it could have been in his situation. He lifted himself up and held out his part for her to pick up. "Sorry to intrude, I just heard a noise."

"Thank you," she said as she took the folders from him and held them to her chest. With her free hand, Keira smoothed down her knee-length skirt. She had dressed the part of a teacher, professional, if not lacking in personal taste.
Nero stood and slipped from under the desk. The large, nearly dog-sized cat, stared at Pario.
"I don't think he's a teacher," Nero's voice drifted into Keira's head.
Keira was no fan of having one-sided conversations about people right in front of them, so she didn't respond to Nero, but he was used to that. He knew her preferences.
"It's fine," Keira told the man with a smile. "It's a public classroom; I was just packing up to head home for the night. Are you a student? And how rude of me! My name is Keira Couvillion," awkwardly, still trying to balance her papers, she held out a hand for him to shake, "I'm new." She looked down at the papers, indicating them, "I teach the study of curses to high school seniors."
It was still weird for her to say all that. Was it all a title? Was that the way she should introduce herself?
"Of course." He responded, wanting to sound as polite as he could muster up. She looked older than him, but just barely. Maybe it was the teacher like uniform that gave off that vibe about the women's age. He would dare not ask.
Not that he needed to be told that it was okay, it was a relief that she didn't think he was a creep. "Y-Yes I'm a student in post secondary here." Pario wanted to sound intelligent, so he used those big words to show off his educational vocabulary.
It was nice to know that there was new teachers coming into the school, as he had sometimes gotten bored of his frequent ones. He glanced down at the animal that seemed to have grown in size by standing. He gulped as the girl introduced herself. "That name is rather majestic." He commented with a short now as he reached and shook Keira's hand. The single hand was rather warm and dry. 'Wow, super smart there brother, majestic. You'll really get her into you if you say that.' She chuckled as she was obviously joking.
"My name is Pario, Pario Runforton." He nodded casually as he finished his introduction. It was weird to him, but he still always wanted to introduce his sister too, as if others could see her. Sometimes he wished that was the case as he had gotten angry of the fact that people thought he was just making her up to have a power.
"If only I could see how you teach." He chuckled as he let his grip loosen, then completely fall flat as he swinged his hand back to his side. "N-Not to sound creepy but, I like to see how new teachers from different magical fields work."

Nero sat, tail twitching as he inspected the man. Keira glanced down. "I wouldn't say it's majestic, but thank you! And this little guy is Nero. Don't mind the tail twitching. He's a Savannah; they're more like dogs. They wag when thoughtful or happy, not so much when irritated."
"I wonder why he's so nervous? Nero commented, leaning himself against Keira's leg.
"Pario? I'm not good with names or anything, but that sounds Italian. Are you -- Italian, I mean?"
"Maybe he's the nervous sort?" Nero continued.
"If you wanted, I could show you some of my notes?" Keira offered, tilting her folders toward Pario. I'm new to the whole teaching thing, so a little practice would be nice."
"O-Oh?" He scrambled to remember his major, as it had escaped him in the moments that he had been talking to Keira. "My major is forensic science." He had a reason for wanting to study such a, creepy topic, though he wasn't going to mention it until he had introduced his sister. "And my second year." Pario was twenty and he had went into college pretty much right after school. He loved it that they couldn't really turn him away from what he wanted to study on the island.
"Nero." He glanced at the little creature, hoping that it wasn't going to hurt him. "I doubt he's happy about me though." He chuckled awkwardly as he returned his gaze to the women. "My mother is Italian, so yes, I do have a lot of Italian in me, I'm not sure how much though." He nodded, as he had once again left out his sister. "But my father was Canadian, so I grew up there rather than where my mom did." Pario also thought that he looked a lot more Canadian than he did Italian, but the name did give it away.
"Are you allowed to do that?" The thought made his eyes sparkle a bit, as he had always been fascinated to see others. Hi teachers had gotten a bit boring after two years.

"And forensic science?" Her eyes lit up. "That's an interesting career choice. What made you decide you wanted to be a forensic scientist? I imagine you want to, anyway. Otherwise, you wouldn't be taking the college courses.
"Of course, I'm allowed to show off my lesson plan, as long as it's not to one of my students, and we've already established you aren't. Unless you plan on trying to get into the class? Then, well, we might have to hold off." Keira laughed a little.
She turned and walked to her desk to set down her pile of folders, organizing them a bit better. Nero followed her.
"Really now?" He wasn't as surprised as he sounded to be, as it was the same situation with Acellyn. He calmed down his initial excitement to have met someone with a similarity to him as he answered the next question. "Well I always liked the idea of solving crimes. Or being able to seem really smart without having to, I guess be so out there? I like the be in the background." He wasn't one to be flashy by being an investigator or someone that would get a lot of press or recognition. "No, sadly I think I'll stick with my courses as of now." Maybe there was a possibility that Acellyn was a curse on him, but he wouldn't have the first idea to prove that, or explain it.
"Also, I have a similar situation to you." Pario followed her back into the classroom. He loomed over her desk, but kept a foot or two away from her personal space. "I have a dead sister that only I can see, and she constantly talks in my head too." Pario looked over at her, wondering if she thought he was crazy. He stared for a second to her hair, which was such a light and silky looking color. "So maybe there could be something scientific to explain why she's linked to me, on the side of course." That wasn't the reason why he had such an interest in the career.

After organizing her work, Keira glanced up and smiled. Nero jumped up onto the, desk to continue having a good view of Pario. His look was neither friendly nor hostile, just an annoyed cat.
"Does she try to convince you to murder or harm people? If not, it's probably not a curse. Unless it was set on her and not you." Keira paused to think. She had become intrigued by his sister story. Thinking about magic and other oddities was becoming her specialty, after all.
If he looked down at the papers she had gotten from her folder he would see a picture of a large looking knife and some runic symbols drawn on a piece of paper.
