Keira looked down at the drawing of the knife and the runic symbols, which were set around the knife in carefully placed positions. She pointed to each rune and said what they meant. "North, West, East, and South. The knife isn't used for cutting," she grinned, as that was what most people assumed the knife was used for. Indeed, that would have made the idea of rituals quite terrifying.
"The knife is called an Athamé, or a ritual knife. It's the primary ceremonial knife in Wicca and other Neopagan rituals. You use it to point, or carve."
"She was rather sweet when she was still alive." He didn't recall much, as most of his thoughts of his sister were now hatred. "Yeah she was a little greedy with how many friends she had but, she was never violent or mean to me." He nodded, to which Acelynn scoffed loudly in his head. 'Yeah I was a fucking goodie two shoes. your point being?'
"Ohhhhh." His eyes widened, as for a second he was a bit scared to think that Keria had lured him in to kill him, or worse. "That, that really relieves me. Such a thing would most likely be normal for your field but, I guess it just shocked me a bit." He chuckled as he scratched the back of his head. Pario had no reason to be surprised, as even his field included knives and much more like that.

"Don't worry," she said, putting her smile back in place, "it concerns most people. When you see a large knife, your first thought is that it's for cutting. This knife is sacred; you're never supposed to use it to spill blood. You have smaller blades for blood rituals, bot those are powerful and dangerous."
Keira motioned to the runic symbols. "Direction is important to most ritualistic curses. pointing the knife South vs pointing it north could make an entirely different effect."
He appreciated her not prying too much onto his personal life; not after just barely meeting one another. He wasn't going to ask why she had such a cute animal following her around. He studied Keira's words, as if they were what he worshiped for a few seconds.
"I never knew that there were different blades for different activities." He opened his mouth to make an almost perfect O shape. It made a lot of sense to him, but the thought of actually pieceing it all together hadn't clicked in until now.
"It would be like using the same knife to cut meat and then vegetables, for an example?" He wanted to bring it down to his terms. "Is there a certain way that they usually point?" He was obivously clueless about the entire subject.

"Of course, this is Wiccan magic and rituals, which is different than other forms of rituals. Each culture and magic pool has their own, but from all that I've seen, I can say every ritual is about precision and doing things in the right order or the right way."
All of the information she was giving him was making his head spin. He wanted to understand, to be a part of this conversation, but how? He had no idea about any of the things she was talking about, but now was a good time to learn. 'Damn this girl can talk.' His sister said loudly to him, which made him wince. He hated when she was loud in his head, it felt like a siren going off in your head.
"R-Right." He blinked a bit too much at the pages under him, wondering if she would sense how utterly lost he was. He got the basic principal, as his example had helped him to understand it on his own terms, rather than all of her, magic talk to guide his way. "I mean this is all cool but, you may have to explain it to me, in an easier vocabulary, or maybe show me." He bit his lip at the last part, as he was unsure if him seeing his would really, help.

Keira paused as she considered how she might go about this. She turned to the board in the room and got out her marker, drawing a circle. "Let's start with the easier stuff. The circle for this type of Wiccan ritual is called a casting circle, but can also be referred to as the magic circle. You usually draw it in the dirt with the knife, if you can help it."
She paused to let him take all that in before continuing. "You always set up what you'll need for the circle before actually doing the ritual. That means you carve whatever symbols you need to use in the dirt or candles, you get the knives ready, people in their place. This is arguably the most important part of the ritual, because how you set up the circle is important to the spell.
Nero yawned in the corner, eyes closing as he drifted in and out of sleep. His right ear flicked anytime Pario spoke, giving a hint that he was still very much awake and listening.
"It's alright, I can get that." He smiled at Keira as she apologized, as he admired how quickly she had realized that he was lost. It wasn't everyday that people stopped their rants of passion for someone else. 'Awww, aren't you special.' His sister ringed in his head, with a menacing giggle at the end. Pario scoffed it off before he moved over to the board.
"Right, I think that makes a bit more sense." Though he was still trying to process all of this juicy information, it made it easier for him to comprehend with her slower explanation. "How many time have you... Done this?" He placed his hands in front of him and leaned in, wanting to look interested, as he was.

"I'm experienced in curse removal and small curses, making people sneeze and the like. The big, nasty ones... well I don't want to hurt people."
When she met his eyes, her smile was strenuous. "Kind of a black mark against me as a teacher that I don't have lots of hands-on experience with my teachings, huh?"
It was almost cute when she turned away and blushed. Had his words been that effective at making her feel so shy? The answer to his question proved him right. "That's fine." He didn't expect her to be an expert on the topic, but at least she had enough to go on to be able to teach her students. Perfection would come with time and age.
"No really actually." He cleared his throat as he lingered his eyes on her, before pulling them away to her right as he answered again. "As long as you don't look like a dumb-ass while you are teaching, I think it's alright to not know everything." Keira was obviously still young, so she didn't need to worry about fine toning her abilities so soon.
