The owner of Spades Records had become a Gatsby in their own mind, seeming to hold some kind event monthly and sometimes weekly because they could. The parties had always included those in their own business, as well as those in other industries. They found it ridiculous to have any kind of rivalry between the different businesses - they were all set out to entertain the masses so befriending the others were only fitting. Besides, they were all pretty faces - they could accumulate some nice media attention if they all just sat together.

Inscius had held another event at a cozy little ballroom this time - one that now looked like a club with the decorations. They had a few outfits hidden in their car, unsure just how messy they could get from the sweating dancing bodies and the spilling drinks.. as well as their own ever changing mind. For that particular moment, they felt more inclined to wear the comfort of dark jeans and some basic shoes. Their button up shirt was loose on their frame, the first two buttons undone and their suspenders there to compliment the dark black of the jeans. Their ever present jacket was half on, bunched up around their elbows and leaving their shoulders bare.

The deity was bored. The music was forcing their blood to pick up the pace, but they felt no urge to dance. They scrunched their nose up at their glass, which was empty. Giving a sigh, they peeled themselves away from their booth of chatting musicians to wander over to the bar to get a new drink. They leaned against the counter, their chin on their palm.

Parties weren't the first thing he thought of when he went out every night. He had work, and people he wanted to see most nights. All in all, Cairo had gotten extremely busy. This party in particular though; it was intriguing. Being a fan of all arts, a music ran gathering was right up his alley. He was wearing green earrings, as well as a very tasteful top. His legs were covered in casual black pants, while his shoes were a pair of tanned loafers. It wasn't overly flashy, which was what he wanted.

The model's inky colored hair was done up in a side braid, letting many pieces stand out of the mix. With his hand tapping at the bar counter, the adult glanced over to a new arrival. They were well kept, for sure. Acting casually, he adjusted in his seat, glancing at his glass of vodka. "Bored?" It was a subtle observation.

Inscius looked up at the new voice, taking in the sight of their new companion. They recognized the face from the various photographs that the modeling agency offered. It was just a matter of getting the name out of the back of their head and back onto their tongue. They chuckled as they were checked out by the other, and they took a seat back at the bar top.

"Unfortunately so. Though given you are here at the bar alone, I take it you are too." Inscius acknowledged, crossing their legs. Nightmare was still wrapped around their throat, the eye acting as a pendant and keeping sight on their surroundings in case anyone tried to assassinate them again. It wouldn't be the first time nor the last.

They offered a hand to him with a small smile. "Inscius. Just call me Insci." The name of the music company owner? They were hosting this party, right?

Cairo was glad when they sat down. Not that he felt like his skills were lacking, but it was sometimes hard to get people to stay. "Yeah. Not to say that this party isn't awesome- but for once I'd like a night where everyone isn't staring at me." Cairo was used to others being enthralled by him, for sure. There was a sense of unknown with Cairo; a forbidden treat that everyone wanted a bite of. The dark haired man stared at the thing around their neck, smiling at it. Before long, he felt his boredness go away. Shaking their hand, he nodded as he recognized the name. "Cairo Kaiylla- I wouldn't think that the host would be the one unamused." It was like some sad success story. "May I buy you a drink?" It was a polite thing to do, especially considering who he was now talking.

"You've never hosted a party, have you?" Their question seemed genuine. "When you have a lot of parties you get to know everyone. You see every face and know every story. You know hopes and dreams, as well as heartbreaks but oh does it get old rather fast." Inscius laughed and put their chin on their palm like this was the most normal thing in the world.

"Of course you can." They chirped, never one to turn down a drink. It's not like poison could kill them anyway. They leaned back idly, taking a look over. This person was rather good looking, as they would expect for someone from their profession. But they were also honest and polite, which Inscius enjoyed. Perhaps they could offer some entertainment that the party was drained of. Sometimes new faces showed up to the party and they offered some new stories.

"I can understand that. I mean, someone as gorgeous as yourself would get heads turning no matter they went. You're always welcome to my parties. Faces don't really matter here - just the names and the drinks. The dance moves too depending on how good you are."

"Never a good one." He had a few times before going to the island. One's filled with under age drinking and loud music; ones that seemed to never succeed. "I suppose so. Faces are so easily remembered, so you know when there is a new one in the crowd. " He hoped that his own was fresh enough. "Even then- Everyone has the same type of face. The overworked office person, the too-good-for-anyone richy... It becomes so mundane." He only hoped that Inscius understood that. He looked at them for them to pick out a drink, eyeing the menu for a second. "Ah, you're too kind." He waved his hand, as if it was too much to be complimented. "I'll make sure to show up again, if you're going to be around." He ordered himself another drink and paused for Inscius to give in his choice.

"Fair. Truthfully I've thought about no longer having major events anymore - they seem to get more dull as time goes on. Or maybe that's just me finally feeling old." They laughed softly. They were immortal, after all, so sometimes they wondered if they had seen everything. The island continued to surprise them but they were always delighted to keep things interesting with the new and old experiences this magical place had to offer. Manta Carlos never ceased to amaze them.

They nodded in agreement as they stared at the party goers of their own event. Every face molded together, every success story was the same one but with a different phrase every time. It was dull, and it was just... awful. Was the bag of tricks of people finally empty or were they surrounding themselves with the wrong people?

Inscius smiled at the persons offer, looking through their drink options. They chirped an old cocktail to the bartender who went to whip their drinks right up. The deity turned to the other and asked. "Your face is new to my parties. What brings you here now?"

"Old? You don't look a day over 25, and even that's a stretch." They were a breath of fresh air for Cairo. He and to look at people for a living, so having someone like Inscius intrigued him. "But I could be off- never been good at guessing ages." he looked at the other people before staring at the host for a second with a smile. "I suppose our mutual sharing of being connected to companies." He paused and leaned more on the bar. "I'm a model for Crown Modelling Agency, Mr. Inscius." It was all too formal, so he dropped the professional attitude. "I wanted to come here out of my own interest though. I've heard a lot about you and your company. You see I'm quite the music fan."

"Magic is a beautiful thing, isn't it? Being immortal comes with it's perks, like remaining this face for as long as I have." They did a joking hair flip, the floof of hair that covered their eye now displaying their empty eye socket. They had a eye patch for it somewhere but where was the fun in that? They just liked having the black nothingness and they wouldn't have to remember to put on an eye patch every morning.

They listened to him ramble, shifting their legs as to have them cross the other way. The deity nodded to the bartender who slid them their drink, raising it in salute. Brushing their hair back with their fingers, they smiled at the other as they sipped their drink.

They waved it off, "Please, no need for formalities. Just call me Insci, it's easier. I'm glad my event had caught your attention. May I ask what kind of music you are interested in?" Music always had a way of describing people. The bands and the lyrics. Everyone had a primary genre, whether they knew its name or not.

"Immortal?" He was intrigued, his earrings dangling as he leaned closer. The eye socket didn't scare him at all, but rather intrigued him. He stared at it only for a second, not wanting to be rude. He took his own drink and sighed into it, forming bubbles. "Then you may call me Cairo, or even Cai if you're feeling like it, Insci." How cute. "All types, if done right. I do have a thing for instrumental and older hymns."
