Zachary calmly strode into the coffee shop. It wasn't exactly like he was a major fan of coffee in general, but in the heat of the moment he had asked Max if she wanted to have coffee and it was refreshing once in a while. Nevertheless today he was all about the chai tea. The island didn't have a starbucks that he had seen, which made it difficult to find a coffee shop that carried it, but he finally did and immediately got in touch with Max.
It had taken him about a week to track her down, leading him to the conclusion that his tracking skills left something to be desired. He had even called in a favor from a friend and had tried to pull something up on her as far as contact information, but she was in any system anywhere except for the one here on the island and he wasn't going to start leaving electronic footprints all over Starlight Academy's severs. Still the experience had left him with several questions. If she wasn't in the system anywhere then she hadn't existed officially until recently, and with only a first name to go off of there wasn't exactly a great way to narrow it down. For the time being though he put it out of his mind, after all, everyone had skeletons in their closet and his weren't exactly something he would want someone delving into any way. Perhaps this was how it was supposed to be.
He sat down in the coffee shop, making sure he got a comfortable seat for the two of them, and sitting so that he could see the door. He still wore his trench coat, but he was wearing regular clothes beneath that. A black shirt that read "Silverhart Incorporated: lining hearts with joy since 1999" acted as some advertising for the company he worked for, and black cargo pants provided all the pockets he wanted for whatever he might end up carrying throughout the day. He had considered wearing a suit with the tie she had gotten him for christmas, but had been trying not to overdress and some of the chocolates still sat on the coffee table in front of his couch.
At this point he simply waited, wondering what he was going to talk about with her for the time being and trying to plan some of it out so he didn't come across as awkward.
