Welcome to the Manta Carlos Beach Revival!
Manta Carlos is beautiful, don’t you agree? Soft beaches, luscious forests and an entire world of magic to explore. It’s quite splendid! As the summer draws to a close, beach time is suddenly a limited resource, and I’m sure you’re all itching to get out and soak up those last rays of sunshine.
But wait! Not so fast! Is that litter I see?
Every year, enough plastic is thrown away to circle the globe four times. Billions of pounds of that plastic can be found in our oceans. It clogs waterways, sickens wildlife and destroys the beautiful ecosystem of the sea.
Now, take a look at the beaches on any given day. What do you see? Rolling waves, sparkling sand, maybe dolphins leaping in the distance. Of course! Look a little closer. There’s waterbottles, plastic bags and candy wrappers; tipped trash cans, broken glass and empty cans. We can’t ignore this. It’s dangerous for humans and animals alike.
Please join me, Solomon Sage Sinclair, and my group of volunteers as we work to improve the state of beaches all over the island. Together, we will clean up litter, remove copious seaweed and driftwood, and bring the beaches to the healthiest, most beautiful state we can.
Wear working clothes that you won’t mind getting stained, as we’ll all be getting messy. Insert all cellphones and electronics into water-tight plastic bags. Keep your trash bags as you work, too! At 5:00 PM, bags will be weighed, and the person or team with the most litter and debris will win a $150 giftcard to their family-friendly establishment of choice! If in a team, each member will receive their own gift card. No more than 4 members per team.
After the weigh in, Sage Sinclair will give a short campaign speech and beachgoers will be dismissed for the night.
The next day, when all is completed, the Burn Bright! Bonfire and Barbecue will be held from 5:00 PM - 12:00 AM on the beach. Christmas lights, food and local live music will all be featured, donated by gracious volunteers. At midnight, the driftwood, branches and other appropriate, environmentally-friendly debris from clean up efforts will be burned as a large bonfire, saving space in compost piles and giving light throughout the night. This party is a reward for the efforts of our volunteers, but any and all residents of Manta Carlos are welcome! More information about the "Burn Bright! Bonfire and Barbecue" can be found on it's own flier below.
Thank you everyone, and remember: Vote Sage for Treasurer!
Sincerely Yours,
Solomon Sage Sinclair

Sage wiped the sweat off his brow, a smile on his face despite the heat of the afternoon sun. Today was the day of his Beach Revival - Manta Carlos edition! It was a good day for it, too. A storm had just blown through the area, sweeping plastic and debris all throughout the beach. It was in serious need of a cleanup, and that was just what it would get.
The teenager beamed as he surveyed the beach. At every entrance was a table and a volunteer, taking down names and teams as people arrived to help his cause. It was already becoming successful. Sage had put just as much effort into this as he had his Septemberfest, and the advertisement was apparently paying off. Sage’s smile only widened as yet another small group arrived, success and pride blooming in his chest, and he quickly stuffed another wrapper into his garbage bag.
