Emil's smile remained, but shook a bit as she praised his abilities. Amazing? He... Really didn't find them amazing at all. Of course he knew they were useful and he was sure there were those with worse powers out there, but his abilities had really been more a hindrance to him than an aid. He had to stay away from crowds to avoid headaches (Not that he was a particular fan of big gatherings of people before the fact) and he had to keep his concentration on the physical spectrum of his abilities to not hurt someone or damage something. He simply could not rest and it was rather daunting to him.

But he didn't want to upset Flayace either, she had just asked and he shouldn't object too much to a simple question. So he played it safe, trying to act as if that train of thought had not bothered him at all.

When she mentioned his age however, he smiled a bit. He had always thought he looked younger than he was, not to mention some of his more feminine traits. It wasn't exactly a big insecurity or anything, he was just not completely satisfied with his apparent age.

"Oh? How old did you think I was?" He was still smiling, trying to keep the mood of the conversation up. Some humorous guesses would help with that, right?

How old did she think he was? She couldn't remember the exact number. The first time she saw him, she thought that he was much older, around 20. As she got closer though, she thought that he looked more like 14. "At first, I thought you were 20, seeing you from a distance and all." She paused, blushing a bit.

"Then as I got closer, I thought that you looked more like 14, not 17." She laughed a bit to herself. She had been way off, but that was okay. At least she hadn't openly asked him if he was 14 or 20. "Sorry, I was way off." She laughed again, then looked up at him with a smile,

Twenty? Emil smiled still, the smile much more genuine this time. That was rather funny, actually, though he did not see how he could pass off as older than his actual age, all things considered. Fourteen was much more what he would expect, to be perfectly honest. A soft chuckle emitted from the boy and he really hoped it didn't come off like he was laughing at her instead of with her.

"I suppose that means I either look mature or youthful." He replied, minding his manners as he always did. "Which are both very good things, so thank you."

He smiled at the girl before turning down, picking one of the books he had chosen and starting to read it. Common constellations, the stars in them, what they were said to mean in the past... Emil knew all this already of course, he had read enough books on the subject to do so, but it was still delightful to see what different authors had to say on the subject.

Flayace smiled and laughed a bit. "It's good to be both." She paused. "Anytime Emil." She got up and picked a random book from the astronomy bookshelf closet to her, as Emil looked like he was going to read for a while. It was about the universe, of course, but this was an interesting book. She sat back down and opened it up to start to read it.

She was happy to read it, reading anything made her happy really. It talked about the different universes that some believe exist. The different planets and solar systems that are in the universe, a never ending cycle of things to explore and see. She looked and read the rich words that were on each page, looked at the pictures and thought about the theories that were presented to her by different people.

And just like that, like he tends to do, Emil fixated himself on his books. Soon enough, his concentration on his powers fell and he began snapping up thoughts from the girl beside him, not to mention that the table and everything on it began shaking and rattling. It only took Emil a moment to realise what was happening and he quickly forced his powers back to dormancy. Of course, he could not hold his concentration on his powers if he wanted to enjoy his books, so he quickly put together a makeshift solution. He laid all the concentration he needed on his telekinesis and to not invade Flayace's privacy, he put on the headphones he had looped around his neck. The techno that filled his ears helped drowning out any stray thoughts.

So like that, the young psionic continued reading with his new friend. Engrossed in the ways and forms of the galaxy and universe, he almost completely lost track of time. Like always when he read about something that truly fascinated him, Emil was lost in his own world.

It was only when he glanced at his wristwatch while turning a page that he noticed that he was supposed to be heading to class real soon. With a small exclamation of distress, he got up, gathered his books together and politely bowed at Flayace.

"Thank you so much for your time, it's been fun. I got a class real soon though and I have to run."

He felt awful leaving this abruptly, it went against all basic manners he had been taught as a child, but what can you do? In a small attempt to remain as polite as possible, he at least remained to let her talk, to leave properly.

"Okay." Flayace got up and smiled at him. "It was nice meeting you Emil, you seem cool." She said and laughed a bit. She then bowed and then put her hand behind her. "If you ever want to contact me, here's my phone number and email." She gave him a slip of paper. She had actually made some for if she were to meet anyone she liked. "Thanks for talking to me." She smiled at him and waited for is response.

"No no, thank you." Emil replied, laughing a bit. She was a nice person, really. Without a moment of hesitation, he took the paper and pocketed it. With a bit of struggle he even managed to lift his smaller ton worth of books. He had to hire these of course, but if he hurried he would manage.

"It was nice talking to you as well, see you some other time." He decided before hurrying away, staggering just slightly under the rather demanding weight of his books. This was nice. This was really nice. One day and he had already made a couple friends. He didn't mind this at all.

Flayace blushed a bit and went back to reading her book. She decided she would stay here for a while. She didn't have any classes to attend to, so she just enjoyed the sweetness of the book. She sighed in happiness that she had made a friend, that had the same interests, was cute, and around the same age as her. It had been a good day.
