Ray's lips twitched as she held back a laugh. Instead, she adjusted her grip on the gun, raised it, and fired off four shots. All of them bullseyes. She allowed a sort of giggle to bubble out of her throat delightedly.

She fired some more, and they were all bullseyes as well. She smiled, very pleased with herself, and looked up at Chris. "You're a good teacher." she said softly.

Chris was a little shocked that Ray did so well but he got over the initial surprise with ease and simply chalked it up to being such a great teacher. "I know." He grinned at herbefore looking down at the playing field.

Sheesh, Chris was glad when the game was over. He had been slaughtered, shot twice at the same time. What a travesty. So he had turned in his stuff and watched as Ray shot and ducked, noting how good she was. It must be natural. He stood in awe as he watched until there were only a few guys left and Ray. When it was all over he met her outside of the cage. "For some reason I don't think that was your first time playing." He teased, waiting for her to get changed. "But you did really well, next time you might have to give me some pointers." What did they do now? "You hungry?"

One of the guys that had been in the game called Ray by her name, and she turned around. He waved, and she waved back. "Awesome job!" he called, and she just dipped her head. She looked back at Chris sheepishly, "What can I say, once you learn something, it just never goes away." she smiled up at him. "But we should leave. I'm er.." she laughed nervously, "Pretty popular here."

She took his hand and skipped out ahead of him. "How does...Pizza sound?" she questioned once they were in the parking lot, cocking her head at him.

"Should I be expecting a mob?" He glanced around furtively as if expecting well wishers to pop out from any corner. "Or something of the like? Will we be signing out autographs?" Chris followed Ray to the parking lot while trying to remember where he had parked. With the waning sun had come quite a few players, possibly a party and they had completely hidden his car.

"Aha!" He spotted it, squeezing her hand. "Pizza sounds good. A slice or two maybe. Then we should head back, I'm beat. To many emotional outbreaks for me to handle." He teased, sliding into the car. When she had got in as well he drove them to the nearest pizza place, one with tables he couldn't stand anymore, and ordered some food. "So."

Ray smiled at him, before taking a sip of her drink and looking around the room. During the game, several thoughts had come to her, and they were bothering her. Like what if she was just a rebound from that horrible girlfriend he had had before? Or what if she was too immature for him?

She was in entirely new waters, and she was really feeling nervous. She set her glass down and glanced back at Chris. "Were you jealous when you attacked my bomb of a date with Greg?" she asked curiously, cocking her head to the side.

When Chris heard her question he instantly grimaced. "Well you see. That would be because... Ehh. Because I thought you liked him and I was jealous." He squirmed uncomfortably in his seat, fiddling with a napkin on the table. THen a sudden thought entered his mind and he looked up at Ray with an evil grin.

"My turn. Now I get to ask you an equally horrible question to make you squirm." He touched the tips of his fingers together as if contemplating his next move over a game of chess. "When did you first figure out you liked me?"

Ray flushed. "That really is a squirm in the seat question." she mumbled, wiggling herself lower into her chair and flushing. She knew exactly when, but she didn't want to seem like a stalker girl.

"Well...I think I probably started liking you way before I realized it, but there was one day when a whole bunch of girls hunted me down in the mall parking lot and beat the crap out of me. You found me with them beating me up, and then charmed them away." she flushed some more, and nibbled on her lip. "You took me home but nobody was there, and you wouldn't let me be alone so you came in with me and cleaned me up really gently and kindly." She looked away, and glanced at the waitress bringing pizza. "Oh look, food." she said, hoping to change the subject.

Chris remembered the memory well, it had been his first time really playing 'doctor'. Back then he had entertained the thought of becoming a family physician. He figured that the memory was a little bittersweet for her, getting beaten up and all, but it was still nice to him. "I was your knight in shiny armour eh?" He grinned.

When they had finished their food and driven back to the academy, a virtually silent ride thankfully, Chris found himself walking her back to her room. He stood near the door uncertainly for a moment. "I had fun tonight. We should do something tomorrow." He offered weakly, before bending down to kiss her gently on the lips. Sealed with a kiss.

Ray smiled at him and was about to agree when he kissed her. Her heart fluttered, and she flushed again. When he pulled away, her intense eyes were on him, slightly wide. "Yeah. We should." she agreed.

She desperately wanted to kiss him again, but told herself it would be stupid. So instead she gave him another soft smile, and stepped into her room. "Good night." she said uncertainly, not quite ready to close the door.

"Good night Ray." He shot her a half-smile before turning and going into his own room.

Chris was standing outside. He had slid a note underneath Ray's door earlier that morning asking her to meet him out here. The boy still wasn't all that sure what they should do today but he figured they could plan something together. In his hand was a bag of chocolate chip muffins. Yummy tasty, he was holding back from eating them all by himself.

When he felt arms slipping around his waist and a head leaning against his back he took it for granted that it would be Ray. He turned around with a big smile on his face and froze when he saw who it was. "Kaycee?" His ex girlfriend giggled and through her arms around his shoulders, pulling him in for a hug which Chris didn't return.

"Don't look so surprised!" Kaycee squeezed him even tighter while helping herself to a muffin. "I figured we should put all of this behind us and get back together, I've missed you soooooo much!"

Chris, poor simple minded boy that he was, couldn't quite grasp the fact that Kaycee wanted to get back together with him. She was the one who had broken it off and left him the dust with some comment about how she had cheated on him. This wasn't good.
