Ray glowered darkly at Chris. "First off. It was different with TJ. He didn't actually like me, you just sweet talked him into it. Secondly, I can take care of myself. I would have taken care of TJ too. And thirdly, it's none of your freaking business anyways." she huffed an angry sigh, and then froze.

In a split second Ray went from angry to nervous, suddenly realizing he'd said Her Stupid Memory. Her entire body language changed. "Err...What memory?" she questioned, almost entirely forgetting her previous anger with him.

She turned her back so that she was looking anywhere but him, and silently prayed that it would be a somewhat harmless memory. For the moment, her anger was set to simmer somewhere in the back of her mind.

Chris waited to calm down a bit before answering. "The one of Missy's sleepover." He was not going to go into something that painful, for her or for him. For him because she'd probably end up hitting him. He hated arguing but if this was the way she was going to make it than fine. He'd argue till he died.

"And why are you even dating a guy you hardly know?" There, he was done. At least, until she replied and brought up even more evil thoughts from his evil mind.

Ray flushed and rubbed her forehead. That one. She remembered it vividly. She could feel the anger bubbling back up inside of her as he asked his next question. She spun on her heel. "It was one date. And it's none of your freaking business anyways." she snapped sharply, a steady glare plastered on her features.

She was starting to wonder why she'd even liked the overprotective guy in the first place. She glared harder. She couldn't not like him. Even when she tried it just didn't go away.

Chris glared back at her, knowing full well that two could play the glaring game. "Then why are we standing her arguing if it's none of my business? Didn't you understand a thing I just said? You made it my business when we kissed in that hallway!" Okay, he hadn't excactly meant to put it like that but it was the truth. Ever since that joke turned serious he had felt weird and such whenever he thought of it or her. All squirmy and whatnot.

Ray fumed. "You wanna know why I went on a date with a guy I hardly know?" she questioned, the volume of her voice raising with each word, "It was so I could get over you." she spat the words out, the last one was almost a yell, and with one last glare, and an angry huff, she turned on her heel and ran as hard as she could down the beach. Away from him, and away from anyone else.

What the scuzz?! Chris stood in complete silence, stunned into not responding when she snarled something about getting over him. Getting over him? That meant... Oh crud, he made a huge mistake. He wanted to take it all back then possibly crawl in some hole and die. Instead he resolved himself to going back to the academy by himself, though he passed the old lady who gave him the evil eye as he walked.

[[TIMEWARP kerCHAOW!]]

Chris had taken to wandering around his room in disgust, the result was his roommate seeking solace in the library or some other guy's room. Which was fine by him. He didn't want any company. His fuming and such was interrupted by a knock. Thinking it was his roomie he opened it with a snarl, surprised to see Scythe standing in the doorway.

"You've sulked for long enough Chris!" She demanded, pushing him towards the bathroom. "Get showered and dressed. You have a date." She demanded, unheeding his protests and complaints. Within moments he was barricaded in the bathroom, unable to do anything but shower.

The whole time he was in the bathroom he plotted and planned on how to get out of this but Scythe threw some clothes at him and shrunk away to wait outside of the door. When he didn't appear she went in and dragged him out of the academy and into his car. Hopping into the drivers seat she proceeded to drive all the way to the restaurant with Chris grabbing the dashboard and pressing the imaginary break twice. Pretty good for her standards. She parked and pulled him out of the seat, dragging him to the waitress at the front. "LaForte." She explained, to which the girl consulted her clipboard before leading them to a cozy table for two.

"You try to leave and I'll kill you. You'll also be walking home. I'll pick you up in an hour or two." Scythe pushed him into a seat and was gone, leaving Chris to stare grimly down at the tablecloth.

When Ray returned to her room, she found Adrian waiting for her. Adrian talked to her, not being super prone to being a protective big brother. He had calmed her down, but no matter how much he urged, he couldn't convince her to patch things up with Chris. Not to mention she was mortified that she'd told Chris she'd been planning on getting over him.

Adrian knocked on Ray's door, and when she answered, told her to get dressed up because she was going on a blind date. Knowing better than to argue with Adrian, she started to pick out clothes, only to have him shove some clothes into her hand and then shove her into the bathroom.

"I'm not doing this!"

"Yes you are! Don't argue. You know I'll win!"

"...Fine!"

"And you have to wear the dress. Scythe's orders."

"It's freaking short!"

A few minutes later Ray emerged from the bathroom dressed in a dress that in her opinion, didn't cover enough of her. It was strapless, and short, coming up to a little below mid thigh. The number was red, and fit her perfectly in alllll the right places. Her hair hung around her shoulders in loose, soft curls, and she had done a bit of makeup. Adrian raised an eyebrow and did a wolf whistle.

Ray socked him in the shoulder. "I can't believe I'm doing this." she snarled, clenching her fists at her side.

Adrian grinned at her. "Oh there's more." He handed her a box, which held a pair of black heels. Ray glowered. "Trust me Ray, this guy's worth it." he smirked and she slipped the shoes on.

He drove her to the restaurant and deposited her inside. "You're walking home, and don't you dare leave. Because if I find out, well..." he left the sentence hanging, but Ray knew there was a lot he could do to her, and shuddered.

Adrian moved forward and said LaForte. Ray felt a bit of dread as she was led towards a table with Chris sitting at it. She told herself that Adrian wouldn't have set her up like that. But apparently he had.

She inwardly spazzed, and turned to leave only to trip on her own shoes and go sprawling. As the waitress moved to see if she was okay, and several other people in the restaurant stared, Ray started laughing. She struggled to figure out a way to stand modestly, and then finally succeeded.

She moved over to her table and stood at it, one hand on her hip. "So apparently our siblings set us up. I'm hungry, but I'd rather not stay on the blind date path." she said with more confidence than she felt, suddenly feeling very uncomfortable and bare.

Looking up at the disturbance, his back had been turned to her so he didn't see who, if anyone, was approaching, Chris stifled a groan and got up to leave. Then Ray went down in a very unceremonious way and he couldn't help but laugh. When she moved to stand at the table he wouldn't even look her in the eye. Not while she was looking... bah, he wouldn't go there.

"Yeah whatever. Might as well eat since we're here. Then we can go our seperate ways." Don't look up at her, don't look up at her. Nope, too late. And just like that Chris melted into a puddle of boy-goo. On the outside he was very calm as he looked up and down the menu, not daring to look at her again.

Ray nodded and then slid into her seat, glad to have him agree. It was awkward. Very, very awkward. Still. The best thing, she decided, was to pretend like she had moved on since that day. And then it wouldn't be so awkward. She looked down at her menu and quickly decided on what she wanted to eat.

"So Uh.. I don't exactly have money.." she said apologetically, nibbling on her lip. "But I'll pay you back." she added, not wanting him to think she was subconciously still thinking this was a date. She tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear and looked up at Chris for a moment, noting that he had kept his hair long. She looked back down at her menu, a secret little smile curving her lips for a split second.

Chris thought this was one of the stupidest ideas his sister had come up with in a long time. That and he was finding it very difficult to be mad at her when she was right across the table and looking so pretty. 'Don't go there boy!' He mentally yelled at himself, concentrating on a spot on the tablecloth. When he had finished with his menu he neatly folded it and sat, not knowing what to do.

When Ray said she'd pay him back he shrugged as nonchalantly as he could without exploding. "It's fine. I don't really care." In reality he wouldn't have let her pay, date or not. The waitress suddenly appeared bustling over with her little notepad. "What can I get you guys to drink tonight?"

Chris turned to her, grateful for a distraction, and asked for a coke. The waitress grinned at him before turning to Ray, notepad and pen poised.
