Morgan waited in the student council room, it was election season. It she was still the president for now. She was meant to discuss something with a student, they wanted to set up a mailing service so they could make a bit more money. She planned on asking them to deliver her flyers for the election along with her mail. She had all the forms and papers per prepared, now she only needed the student to arrive.

Iris stepped through the door - or more accurately, almost stumbled through it as she opened it up. In she came, all haggard and messy as if she just came from a very intense situation. Her hair was all over the place and her trademark blazer was almost falling off one shoulder. She stepped in, clutching her bag and breathing heavily. "Okay, I'm here, I'm here - lemme just catch my breath. I think I dropped it on the way here."

She chuckled lightly at her own joke as she pulled up a chair and threw herself on it, leaning back with her jaw agape and her arms limp at her side. Her chest heaved with breath as she attempted to reset her breathing to normal.

It took a few seconds, but Iris finally got her breathing and her heart rate back to resting. She leaned forward and began to speak. "Sorry, I just came from a very, very busy shift. Christmas's coming up soon, so everyone wants everything delivered... and not everyone's heard of e-mail apparently."

Her golden eyes inspected the stack of paperwork laying in front of Morgan. "So I just sign these, and I get to put up a service for myself? Also, yeah, I am taking on more work voluntarily after I just nearly ran out of air from sprinting everywhere."

"Well first you sign these papers, and then I'll bring them up during the next meeting and get them approved, and then you'll be able to run your business through the school which will defiantly make it a bit more popular." she slide the papers and pen over to Iris and waited for her to fill them out. "I was also wondering if you could do a personal favor as well? I'm running for Student Council President again and id like to ask if you could deliver flyers along with the mail?" bam, Morgan got right to the point.

"Oh. Okay. Thanks?" Iris reached over and took the stack. No matter how quickly she wanted her plan enacted, she wasn't going to just blindly sign her name onto a legally-binding document. Or any sort of binding document. She bit her lip, intently scanning the papers and holding a pen in her fingers. "To be honest, I was expecting a bit more due process, a bit more red tape. Or a catch. It's a bit too wham, bam, thank you ma'am for me."

When she heard the other proposition, she nodded and let out a sound of acknowledgement. "Okay, there it is. No preamble though - that's pretty nice. No beating around the bush. Well, I don't really see why not... it's not like I'd be putting my name on the line for yours."

(tagging people tends to break often, subscribing should mess up alerts though. That said ill go ahead and tag you @"Der Lampman")

Slam, Bam, Thank you mam. Get on the floor and jam. "Yes no red tape. We just like to encourage our students to start their own small businesses, doing so can prepare them for life outside of school." she nodded "Im sure I can try and give you something in return for the advertising? I manage a restaurant downtown and can probably set up some ads for your business down there."

"Hmm. How professional of you," Iris said, handing back the papers with her signature on them. There wasn't much to be said, much to be done. In all honesty she expected a lot more red tape. At the very least some shafted and unequal deal. "Seems about right. I don't have any advertisements on me yet though. Okay, so that's done, that's going to be done, aaaaand - okay, what else needs to be done?"

Morgan nodded and smiled "When it comes to Student Council matters I try to be as professional as possible." that was a lie, Morgan was as professional as possible with everything she did. "I believe that should be it was far as paper signing goes. Go ahead and tell me how youd like your service to be advertised by the school?"

"Just put it up as a service that people can use... the more it gets rubbed in their faces the less they'll appreciate it. Better to be subtle, with an 'always there when you want and not when you don't' feel." Iris couldn't resist adding in the subtle jab, as the election had honestly sort of annoyed her. It was there everywhere she turned, which was technically a good thing as it meant the political participation of students, but on the other hand it was just tedious.

Morgan nodded and jotted some things down in her papers "Ok that should be about all I need, ill go ahead and have my flyers delivered to you tomorrow if thats fine with you." she stuck her hand out for a shake "It was a pleasure working with you."

"Likewise."

Iris came into that room expecting bureaucratic nonsense wrapped up with red tape in a neat little bow. What she found was a good contrast, and a welcome surprise. Inside, she couldn't help but feel some modicum of respect, even if she'd already chosen to threw her lot in with someone else prior.

Maybe some people would say that her helping two different parties in the same election was a wrong thing, but in her eyes she was simply a sort of resource in the situation, and both parties had elected to take advantage of said resource.

She put one hand on the door, opened it, and stepped out with her head still inside the room. With a smile she gave a nod and said, "Good luck out there," before pulling herself away and closing it.
