At first, Monday had assumed it had just been a fluke that when he was asked to scry for a friend he had located the person in question on the first try. But when it happened again, and he was able to replicate complicated magic spells without any problems... and it was almost a new Moon, he started to become really suspicious that something was going on.
But it wasn't until he began to sense a familiar uneasiness near slow running water, that weird feeling of foreboding he got sometimes when the Never-Ending Sea was near, mixed with the fact that he had started feeling his limbs stiffening up faster than before that he knew, and without a doubt, that something was wrong.
Furthermore, when people started coming into his shop and complaining in hushed whispers about their own magic going awry and that so-and-so's charms were failing, the witch had a sinking feeling that something bad was about to happen.
And so, sending out rushed texts to the witches in his coven to meet somewhere safe and sacred, Monday gathered up Ganymede and took off early the next morning to a place just outside the city. A place where the witches sometimes gathered to do rituals together.
