Wesker nodded a little bit as she informed him of her parents. "I see, my apologies, I did not mean to bring up painful memories." this wasn't entirely true, he'd been semi-aware this might be the case, though not sure. "Was that what your outburst in the class was about?"

He took another sip of his tea mulling over how to direct his response. "Indeed, it would not be unusual for her to try something... more firm. I'm somewhat surprised myself after what she did to miss Le'kzen. though perhaps that was something a little more personal..." He tossed the thought around a little in his head. "I do not know that we yet have a way to measure our progress in class. I understand it well enough if that's what you mean."

"Was that what your outburst in the class was about?"

Rosetta nodded. "Yea...that was really embarassing..." Rosetta blushed at the memory.

"I do not know that we yet have a way to measure our progress in class. I understand it well enough if that's what you mean."

"Yea, it hasn't been very hard; of course currently the class has been a hot mess and we haven't really gotten into lectures yet. I just really hope I don't struggle; I've tried to learn about Necromancy, but it's always confused me."

"It's nothing to be embarrassed about, it's a perfectly reasonable response. Many people fail to deal with such things so well." Their food also arrived then, and Wesker paused in the conversation to separate a bite-sized piece from his sandwich and place it in his mouth.

"It may become a little bit more difficult as time goes on, but the same could be said for any class. Interesting, you've studied it before? I wouldn't have placed such a unique hobby onto you. Though, I suppose if we go by stereotypes in the media, you have the fashion for it. What interests you about necromancy?"

When their food arrived, Rosetta started with her side of fries, dipping it in ranch before putting them in her mouth.

"What interests me about Necromancy?" Rosetta chuckled a little bit. "Not much really; I just well...wanted to try to use it for my parents, but I've now accepted that I'm just not cut out for it, but I will try to learn about it, even thought I can't and probably won't be able to use it."

Rosetta soon finished her fries, and started to eat her sandwich while still continuing her conversation (without chewing and/or talking with her mouth open of course). "Wesker, if I may ask, what about you? I mean, you haven't really told me about yourself."

Wesker continued to eat bits of his sandwich throughout the conversation, though he remained quite involved in what Rosetta had to say. He was also sure to not speak while eating. "That's quite a drastic endeavor, have you been aware of your magical aptitude so long that you would make such an attempt?"

Wesker's smile grew just a tad more menacing as she inquired about him. Not really hostile or anything, but more of an unnerving curiosity, a dare, as if he were watching her make a risky move in a game of chess or the like. "What about me?" He allowed his eyes to drift over her attire once more, maintaining the grin. Did this rose have her own thorns, perhaps?

He took a long sip of his tea, his eyes never leaving the girl in front of him. "Rosetta... Did you really just stumble upon me this evening? Is there something you wish to accomplish, or have you perhaps heard anything?"

When the waiter returned to see if they needed anything, Wesker's smile fell back to the, well, it's regular level of unsettling. "Yes, would it be possible to get a sample of the house wine?" The waiter nodded and went off to retrieve the drink for them.

Something was definitely off, Rosetta could tell, but she kept a straight face. "Yes, I came here not knowing of you being here as well. People go out to eat sometimes, you know. I haven't heard anything, however..." Rosetta leaned in closer, "is there something?"

She needed to know. What was up with this guy? She didn't answer whether she had anything she needed to accomplish; it was too soon. She may tell or she may not.

It depended on how she can use him...

Wesker chuckled a little bit, shaking his head. "If you haven't heard anything, then everything is as it should be. Good." He didn't yet know if he could trust her words, but it wouldn't do to be impolite. If she was lying then he would find out sooner or later.

The wine arrived before much longer had passed, two smaller glasses, though still about half of a regular serving. Wesker lifted his glass slightly, letting the aroma of the liquid drift out of the glass. He tilted the glass back and forth to examine the texture of the wine. "The have a high quality vintage here, I'm impressed."

Rosetta took a sip of her glass of wine. "Yes, indeed. Although, I don't drink much wine." She sat her wine glass back on the table.

"So, has anything else been going on? It has been pretty interesting here at the academy..."

Wesker also placed his glass down on the table. He folded his hands in front of him and watched Rosetta calmly, perhaps it was time to try and set her on edge...

"This is certainly the most entertaining place I've ever had the pleasure to attend. I've heard some interesting things about you. some people seem to think you and June are an item or something of the sort." This was a lie, the first thing he could think of to get a reaction out of her.

Rosetta rolled her eyes. "He's not really bad like I thought he was, but we are so not an item or anything of the sort. Besides, people have seen me bicker at June so it's weird to think that a rumor like that would spread."

Rosetta stared at Wesker, as if trying to read him like one of her trashy romantic novels. "Are you sure you're not making that up,"

She took another sip of her wine, "Mr. Straundlin?"
