Maddie fell against one of the mirrors as she laughed. "Oh, that looks completely unnatural."

She reached over and stuck one of her hands through the portal and watched as it was distorted in the mirror when it came out the other portal.

Laetus laughed and floated behind her. "You wanna give it a try?" He asked

She nibbled her index finger. She grinned at him, then popped her head through the portal.

She pulled back, then stuck an arm and leg through, wiggling them about.

"You put your left foot in, you put your left foot out..."

Laetus laughed, then picked her up and put her through the portal, letting her bob like he had. "You put your whole self in, and you bob all about."

"Eeek!" Maddie squeaked as she was lifted and stuck through the portal.

She lifted her hands to her head like antlers and opened her eyes as widely as she could.

Laetus laughed as her image moved and distorted. After a few moments of this, she would feel his hand on her foot, pushing her up through the portal until she was completely out, then the portal would close and she would feel herself fall, though only for a moment before he caught her. He smiled at her. "That was fun. But there's a whole maze ahead, right?"

Maddie's stomach was still in a flutter of butterflies from all her laughter when he caught her. The thrill of feeling like she was falling only made her laugh harder.

She was glad when she could stop and catch her breath. "Right. And probably more fun mirrors. We should save our wackier faces for the best ones."

Laetus nodded. "Definitely. So..." He said as he began to walk, still holding her.
"And I'm ok with either answer... Would you like to walk or do you want the princess tour?" He asked teasingly.

"I could do better than either! How about the shoulder ride tour? I wonder if I'd hit my head." She looked up to determine how low the lights were hanging. "Yup, I want the shoulder ride tour!"

"Alright then. Shoulders it is!"
Once she had taken her seat on his shoulders, he continued walking through the maze, being careful not to walk her into anything as they went. Soon enough, they would come to a crossway in the maze.
"Alright, first decision. Left, right or forward?"
