Love interest for Kaz?

So Kaz is my changeling that feeds on other people's misery.

Because he sabotages a lot of his relationships to stay alive, I'm thinking that something to mess Kaz up would be...

A crush.

Kaz is gay, but closeted. He hasn't really realized this about himself, and he recently outed another student against his will. I want to have Kaz smitten with someone so he can be miserably over his own feelings and try to ignore them and hope they'll go away. He will be unsuccessful.





Whether or not your character returns Kaz's feelings is completely up to you.

I'd like to do 1-3 threads with your character though to really help build the tension.

Additional bonus points if there is a reason they can't be together.

oh gosh this would work perfectly! This would be so perfect because Luke would be oblivious to Kaz's advances, and Kaz isn't really sure what he's doing himself, so it would cause so much self-doubt. The fact that Luke can sense other emotions and Kaz eats misery is also a fantastic combination, too!

How would you be up for them meeting? They're relatively close in age so the academy is an easy option, but I wasn't sure if you had any suggestions!

Also it looks like they have Wolfie's character, Jake, as a mutual friend which adds another interesting component to their relationship since Kaz recently betrayed Jake.

@Darion it's no worries! I'm scattered with responding to things myself, so the timezones aren't too much of an issue.

I think the most plausible place is probably the library--Kaz is generally a good student so he would be there on a slow day. Having them blindly stumble into each other would make for a great first meeting--maybe Kaz knocks his books over, helps him pick them up, their hands touch cliche?
