Evie trudged through the city, hands in her pockets and hoodie drawn over her head, bundled up for the cool evening breeze. She was looking uncharacteristically nervous, sparing a glance left and right every other moment. She was aware that this neighbourhood didn't have the best reputation, in the past this wouldn't have been a problem, but she was on Manta Carlos now. Her powers may have kept her safe before, but there was a good chance that anyone else she came across would be far more dangerous then she could ever expect. She was regretting coming alone, maybe she should have dragged Morrigan along just to keep her company.

She had been starting to grow antsy again over the last few days. It had been weeks since she'd arrived on the island, but it still didn't feel like home. She felt confined, stuck in a school she didn't want to be in, surrounded by all kinds of freaky things. She did her best to keep herself entertained, distract herself from her growing distress, but it was starting to get to her.

But then, she started hearing rumours. Supposidly, there was this bakery downtown that was selling illicit drugs. At first she thought it sounded silly, hiding a bunch of drugs behind some cutesy treats store sounded like the kind of thing she'd tell someone just to fuck with them. But then she realised why that would work. Why would anyone suspect something like that, it was far too silly to be real.

Her nerves started to fade once she caught a whiff of something past the next street corner, the smell of warm food. She turned the corner and finally saw the bakery. Somehow, it managed to look even more out of place then she thought it would, with all its bright colours and warm looking entrance. Her usual smirk appeared on her face, the rebellious part of her couldn't help but get excited now that she was actually here, mixing in with her nerves.

Evie strolled in through the front door, taking a moment to take a deep breath in. Even if the rumour turned out to to be false, it didn't look like this would be a completely wasted trip if the food tasted as good as it smelled. After a quick look around to see who else was inside, she casually sauntered up to the counter, flashing a friendly smile at whoever was standing behind it.

"Hi there!" She said, cheerily. "I was looking around and um, I was wondering if there was maybe a special pie room I could see?"
