Jaden didn't even flinch as the scythe left a wound on her cheek. She was used to pain, blood, and the like. That hating look never disappeared from her eyes, and she unsheathed her sword, the burning in her fingers even more intense now. The young woman looked completely calm and unafraid, though; she was good at masking her emotions when the time came to do so.

"No, it probably isn't," she admitted, tone emotionless. "But I refuse to stand by and watch as you harm Aeta. I cannot permit you to do such a thing! I'm not a helpless little girl, so why act like one and stay to the side, merely watching? No, I won't do it." She didn't care if she ended up getting hurt. None of them had any idea how wretched her old school had been, those horrible tests of survival the students were put through. If she could endure that, then she would certainly live through a fight with this spoiled brat. "Make your move, Nero."

Nariko watched them. She may be an idiot... she thought to herself, beginning to smile, but she's a BRAVE idiot.

Nero laughed and moved forward so quickly all there was of him was a greyish blue blur. He was instantly behind her, looking down at Aeta. "So you will not even stand and help your beloved? You're weak, brother..." He whispered towards Aeta before spinning around, swinging the scythe's and cutting a very deep and large X in Jaden's back before jumping farther back. "I suppose that will do...I could kill you, yes, but leaving you wounded is enough for now. I would rather my brother be a little stronger first...Goodbye. And you're welcome!" He turned and ran into the darkness of the forest's deeper parts.

Jaden's eyes narrowed and she was about to spin around and face him when his scythe's left the wound in her back. Her eyes widened slightly in pain, but other than that, she didn't let it show. She turned around to face him, biting her lip. "COWARD!! DON'T RUN!! I'M NOT FINISHED WITH YOU!!!" she shouted, falling to her knees when he merely continued running. Her clothes and the ground were stained with blood, but she didn't really care. Her attention was focussed completely on Aeta. "Aeta? Are you alright?" she asked him. It was a slightly stupid question, seeing as how he was wounded as well. Even so, she needed to know.

Nariko quickly rushed over to the two, seeing as how Nero was gone now. "Let me see your wounds," she said to the two of them. Being a healer could be a good thing.

Aeta's eyes widened. "Nariko, take care of her--now! Her wounds are worse than mine, she's losing more blood....Dont let her die, plea-" He was cut off by a coughing fit. He continued to cough, out of control, until he was coughing up blood.

Jaden's eyes widened as well. "He needs care more then me, Nariko! He's the one coughing up blood!" she told Nariko. She didn't care about how much blood she lost, she just didn't want Aeta to get hurt anymore than he already was.

Nariko sighed. She would just heal both of them at the same time. Her hands started glowing white and she gently touched the wound on Jaden's back, as well as the wound on Aeta's chest. It would take a tiny bit slower to heal them both this way, but not much. Besides, she couldn't just choose who to help first and let the other one remain hurt.

After a while Aeta suddenly opened his eyes and leaned up. He looked around wildly, and caught sight of Jaden. "Jaden!" He yelled, throwing his arms around her body and pulling her up, against him. "I'm so sorry.....Please...Dont die.....Dont leave me...." He started to cry, and held her tight, burying his face in her shoulder.

As she was pulled up and into his arms, Jaden merely smiled softly and comfortingly and hugged him back. "Don't worry," she told him. "I'm not going to leave you, and I most certainly am not going to die. It's all alright." She rubbed his back in an attempt to comfort him, not wanting him to be upset but understanding why he was.

Nariko merely watched the two, stepping back a bit, not saying anything but offering the younger couple a small smile. She looked away, not going to leave them. If Nero or someone or something else as dangerous returned, she wouldn't allow them to be here alone to fend for themselves.
